I might be the only one who sees Underfell Papyrus as being similar to Classic Papyrus in that he wants to see the best in people. Like, he has to act cruel or he'll be seen as weak but he really wishes for peace and a better life. His childhood was cut short but a small part of it still lingers in the deepest reaches of his soul. I don't know if this really makes sense but I don't know how else to put it.

Unpopular opinion: The concept of 'balance' can apply to the Dreamtale twins and the some of the Reapertale cast, but NOT Ink and Error.

As much as I love thier fanon rivalry and how they clash over opposing views, they weren't created to be eachother's counterbalancing force like Dream and Nightmare. So, applying the idea of some cosmic balance to their roles seems to undermine what they are and what makes them interesting; powerful and kinda selfish individuals with issues and unique morality, using the abilities they have to chase two very different ideals. Error destroys AUs because he thinks there should only be one universe, and would destroy himself if he realized his own hypocrisy. Ink defends and encourages creation in the name of the honoring creators' wishes... and keeping them active in the fandom to enssure his own survival. Also, in the context of their canons, creators will still create, maintain, and abandon AUs _regardless_ of Ink and Error's actions. So, these are roles they've adopted on their own, not because anybody told them to keep eachother in check.

However, I will say I don't mind if _charathers beileve_ there is a balance between them. But as far as like, the reality of those two, there's not really a balance, they just get in eachother's way constantly.

confession: sans isn't actually that cool. the fandom and AUs are the only thing that make him special and powerful.

you could easily replace any "outcode" sans or whatever with literally any other character and it would be cooler tbh. the only rare exceptions to this that I can think of would be error (and geno by proxy), fresh, and I guess Cross.

Unpopular opinion: Horror Sans should not be part of Nightmare's gang OR the murder time trio. He should be on Not-Ink's side additionally if it's a "star sanses" thing. Let him be truer to his character!! He's not a deranged murderer, he's a guy who starved himself for YEARS to make sure everyone in Snowdin could eat!!!

Also I think every single character in undertale deserves to do multiverse shenanigans except Maybe Jerry but that's unrelated. Let them go feral, your honor. It would make even cooler wars if that's your thing!! Keeping track of nicknames is difficult but it Already Is so why not have more fun with it??
