Hello Trafficblr!

I'm doing a bit of a comparative survey on fandom views on main characters in different MCYT SMPs (possibly for some cross-fandom analysis later, we'll see how this goes)

Feel free to elaborate in the tags or the replies or in reblogs or even in my inbox if you want, any of those would be much appreciated!

Also let me know which other MCYT fandoms I should poll. It has to be something that actually has some kind of a storyline though, or at least a fanon storyline, and preferably let me know how to tag it properly if it's a fandom I'm not familiar with

(And if any of you wanna run the same poll on like Twitter or Reddit or YouTube or TikTok or whatever, I'd love to hear the results)

I was inspired by @temporaltemporary's Bdubs chart and decided to add data of Joel as well

Interesting things to note:

Because the length of episodes were so different not only between Joel and Bdubs but also between their own episodes, I decided to use percentages

Joel does not (afaik) mention Etho in his episode 2 and 5, so I put those percentages at 100%

Both Bdubs and Joel mention Etho within the first minute in both their episode 7

I know Joel is up to episode 11 now, but this is about the difference between the two, so I'm currently only going to use the episodes both of them have released

Oh yeah parkour warrior! I think they changed it for the better with the difficulty tiered routes. Definitely achievable for everyone. I think the last one I watched was MCC Scuffed so that really paints how long it’s been since I watched some lol

Yes this spring weather is very lovely! IKR THE TREES! The ones in my neighborhood are like a magenta pink and the ones in my campus are linen white and they like liter the floor with petals it’s been great.

the reason the announcers scream at the first jump is because it's a quad axel. the axel is the only jump you start facing forward, but like all the other jumps you land facing back. this means you have to do one additional half turn to land it. aka, for a triple jump you usually do 3 loops, but for a triple axel you do 3.5 loops. for a quadruple (quad) jump you usually do 4 loops, but for the quad axel you do 4.5 loops, which is super super hard

malinin is the only person in the world to have landed a quad axel in competition, and he just does it amazingly well

he also did a total of 6 quad jumps (including the axel), including some at the second half of the program and in combinations, which is incredible

and yes he is dancing to music from succession

something that i will always remember of technoblade is how he was kind just for the sake of it.

i will remember him claiming the monopoly sound was too loud for him to hear wilbur when he spoke of techno staying up all night to comfort him when he was sick. i will remember him taking the time to add watermarks for his artists when they themselves forgot. i will remember niki and sophie saying how he always somehow made sure they never felt excluded or neglected and how he would hate it, it would embarrass him when they spoke of his kindness publicly. i will remember him personally dming ponk to thank them for sending a 45-minute video of someone feeding hotdogs to raccoons in chat and timestamping his favorite part. i will remember his love for the people who created for him, how he would keep his mentions on for everyone before his fanart tag was formed and would just scroll and scroll to make sure not to miss any art someone made for him. i will remember half his friends and peers having some kind of a story of him reaching out to them during tough days, reassuring them, believing in them, making them feel loved.

i will remember him in every act of kindness i receive and i will remember him during times in my life when i will need to remind myself to be kind despite it all.
