I haven’t been only clowning around in the studio. A few brain buckets have been appearing as well. If you have followed me or purchased my work you may have notice a little change in what I’m creating. I’m not one for doing the same thing over and over with my work, I always have to be pushing myself, challenging myself and listening to myself. I am applying all that I have learned over the past 4 years to my new work which is actually a sort of throw back to work I made a decade ago. Only now it’s better, way better. Sculpture has always been my first love and now that I’m finally comfortable making being me and making my work it’s nice to create what I love. Now I won’t lie that there is just a little apprehension as to how this new work will be received when it makes its big debut at art in the pass. I mean it could all be a commercial failure, and if it is I’m gonna be ok. Alright now get back to your regularly scheduled cat scrolling. Today was the NAHS All Star Challenge at the Mississippi Museum of Art. The only challenge to it was getting 14 teenagers on a bus at 6 am. I am proud to say that we accomplished the feat and were rewarded with a fun trip filled with art, workshops, laughter and snacks.
