👩‍🎨🌸 I titled newest painting collection “Open Air” not because they were painted outdoors, (my canvases are a bit too big for au plein air), but for the craving of the airy outdoors and vast expanses many of us have now. This collection of expressionistic landscapes and abstract coastal paintings was inspired by both the California landscape (my home), as well as by my unbelievable urge to fly away and travel the world! 👩‍🎨🌸 So, Sweet Friends, I am curious, if you are one who works from home, as I do from my studio, what is your favorite “must have” to get you through the day and to help you be focused & creative (if your job requires creativity)? I’d love to hear, especially since so many are still working at home due to the pandemic. I have worked at home from my home studio for about a decade now. I LOVE it! 👩‍🎨Today I realized that I should introduce myself to those of you who may have recently began following me. 👋🏻 Hi! I am Christine Bell, I am a professional Contemporary Artist. I live & breathe art. I live in beautiful 🌴 California & am continuously inspired by the beauty of the sea, the coast, the flowers & nature of this state! My Original Coastal Paintings & Prints reflect the scenery which surrounds & inspires me. I am fortunate in that my eyes seem to find beauty in the smallest detail in our world.. the shimmer of light on the ocean waves, the sunlight enhancing the hue of a flower petal, blowing grasses.. I love it all. I’m often asked “How did you start?”Well, as a child. I was never not making art! Lol! Artists run in my family. About a decade ago I decided to give up my 20+ year career as a teacher & paint full time, dedicating myself to my artwork. It was a bit scary at first, especially since at the time I was a single mom, going it alone, but I took a big dose of COURAGE & jumped right in. I have never looked back. I am humbled & thrilled to have collectors all over the world. It is solely through the amazing support of my clients and collectors that I have been able to support, raise my 3 amazing children by doing what I do dearly love. (My deepest thank you!) FunFacts about me… 🤗🌸 I LOVE learning! I read as much as I can. I love history, architecture, nature & art. I am passionate about equality in our world for women and people of all races. I love travel & I am dying to get out and travel again… Next up on my husband’s and my list is Scotland and France 🇫🇷!
