Update

Hello beautiful people!!! It’s been two years since I’ve posted here (ouch). Last time I was on tumblr life was really different, I was 19, living in Austin, and the world hadn’t ended. Now I’m 21, been through the worst year of my life ever so I have some fun new trauma to write, and living in Lubbock! Only one thing remains the same; a deep and overwhelming obsession with Hadestown. I miss my tumblr days but I’m afraid I don’t have a lot new for content, so I wanted to let you know where I am now. 

I AM WRITING FANFICTION!! on Ao3. I’m working on a long-form Attack on Titan AU/Sequel about Levi’s daughter filled with fun trauma, cool action sequences, strategically placed scenes to hurt you, and a dash of smut. It’s called “Ackerman” My Hadestown Epilogue that I posted here is also there as well! You can find me under @ackerman_trash. 

I am also on Tiktok! I post content about my personal writing project of over two years, Prophet, as well as AOT headcanons. I also plan to start posting about Hadestown soon. You can find me under @trash_writer

Ok anybody else slightly dissapointed in the Moulin Rouge Broadway Recording? Like Aaron Tviet is amazing and wonderful as always but what is up with these acoustic versions of songs? Like the orchestration in the movie is MAGICAL- and the fact that Katy Perry’s firework is a featured song??? Like the actors are doing a fantastic job but I DO NOT appreciate the lyric and orchestral changes.

Samford University, a private Christian school in Alabama, rejected a $3 million donation from a group of churches who wanted the school to shut down its newly-formed LGBTQ student group. 

Samford’s LGBTQ group, Samford Together, only formed this year. The Alabama Baptist Convention offered the sizable donation on the grounds that the school reject Samford Together. The school decided to voluntarily reject the donation and keep the LGBTQ group going. 

“I believe the action taken by our trustees is something that both parties have been anticipating for some time and will serve the best interests of both Samford and the Alabama Baptist State Convention,” said university president Andrew Westmoreland.

“Our longstanding educational and ministry relationships with Alabama Baptists have always been more significant than money, and these relationships will continue and flourish.”

Dr Westmoreland added he wanted the university to address topics related to human sexuality and "other important issues at the intersection of Christian understanding and cultural reality.”

He stopped short of offering formal recognition to Samford Together, but said the university would “work to accomplish each of the group’s worthy goal.”

It warms my heart to see a story about a religious school that does right by its LGBTQ students, even at an actual financial cost. They’re not as commonplace as they should be.

i just gahhhh the beauty of the story like how ajdsfhk how hurt by the world eurydice is and how kind and gentle orpheus is just cause like hhh he loves being alive and living and he teaches her to be vulnerable and actually love but in turn she tries to teach him to be more down to earth and practical but he gets HHHHahhf FJH the obsession! The passion for the craft that drives Orpheus crazy! how dedication and passion can be inspiring but also detrimental! not judging people who make decisions out of necessity with the same morals and virtues that rich people can strive to reach because circumstances are not the same and like…… choosing to give in and work with the capitalist system to death even if you don’t want to because you don’t have the privilege of another option or the naivety of ignoring your necessities. How the idea of work is sold to everyone as the right lifestyle that will provide you with what you want even though in reality it is not but society gives no other choice. Jealousy and revenge! in romance and in life and how unhealthy it can be to yourself and the world around you and how communication is so important in relationships even if they’re no longer new and the hope that !!!! AFJH the hOPE THAT COMES OUT OF GRIef and the human need to continue on even when everything seems bleak and the persistence for the things we love and how arts and craft can change the world for the better and actually *do* things and how the ones you love, though you can’t depend on them, can remind you of who you are and how a loss of hope in the world can bring even the brightest down and how decisions in governments or companies are never made for the people but rather for keeping the decision maker in power and how they try to crush unions and rebellions and how everyone chooses to keep to themselves instead of banding and how only those who are brave enough to look up make a change and how no matter how hopeful you are, human beings are insecure and doubt is a human thing to have and doubt in yourself and others can lead to chaos! but even from chaos you can help others as long as you keep trying again and again and if you try you can have hope and spring will come again.
