A blog where I just talk about comics, my opinions about comic stuff, and other things. I’m always willing to hear other people’s comic opinions. This blog is very Anti-Scarlett Witch and Anti-Iron Man.
I’m giving up on Marvel comics, I honestly don’t like them anymore. The writing is bad, the continuity is bad, the whole concept of switching writers is bad, the fact that characters don’t age, certain characters don’t receive any consequences for their negative actions, some of the fans are really mean for no reason, etc.
I just don’t like it anymore, and to be honest I wish I never got into Marvel in the first place. I’ve wasted so much time on it when I haven’t truly enjoyed it in years
Marine Biologists studying a new creature discover that Green Goblin is one of Peter Parker’s greatest fears.
The Green Goblin was the first villain to discover Peter’s secret identity, was the first villain to use Peter’s loved ones against him, and was the first villain to kill one of Peter’s loved ones. All of which happened during Peter’s early years as Spider-Man.
The Green Goblin was Spider-Man’s first *real* villain, one which was truly depraved. Thus making him one of Spider-Man’s greatest fears-
Silver Surfer cause he’s the only (male) superhero I know of who has depression, has tried to kill himself, has been sexually assaulted, and has had loved ones who’ve committed suicide.
All of which are relatable to me, as a male who’s dealt with all of that.
what are your guys' single top #1 most fav marvel character & the reason why you like them more than the rest?
I agree with this, but Magneto didn’t even kill Steve when he was the Nazi Dictator of America in Secret Empire. That was cause of bad writing though imo
…look, if you’re going to posit that, of all people, the marvel villains (i.e. loki, killmonger, magneto, etc.) would take tony’s side against team cap, who are the real bad guys here, you’re…no, I got nothing, I’ve really got nothing
it is just so depressing how companies will continue to hire people who are known perpetrators of domestic abuse or transphobic violence or sexual harassment….it’s so prevalent in the entertainment industry and its so frustrating knowing that the people with power in those industries just do not care that they’re hiring despicable people who often continue to target those with less power than them
“This, is Steve Rogers. The First Avenger, seen to be the embodiment of America. He believed that this country was pure and any crime can be undone with the use of Truth, Justice and the American way, and EVERYBODY believed him because he’s been saving them since World War 2. Until another Avenger came around. Tony Stark, he disproved that Black and White mindset once the Stamford, Connecticut incident occurred. Making Steve Rogers and everyone else who supported him, look like a *SMACK* bitch.”
“Of course, Tony Stark then thought, all of us super powered people should sign the Registration Act, and there was no way bad things could ever come out of it. Everybody believed that because he saved them countless times as well. He was also, WRONG! Making him and everyone who supported him *SMACK* look like a bitch again!”
“And then, best of all, Ms. Carol Danvers joins the team, and blows everyone’s brains with her mindset on keeping an Inhuman who can predict the future and prevent atrocities from happening, of course she also thought it was a good idea to keep around a skrull masquerading as her late predecessor and lover, Mar-Vell and those futures were disproved. Making her, yet another stupid *SMACK* BITCH! Are you seeing a pattern?”
Part of me wants to think it’s for publicity but I can’t imagine that it could actually be for publicity. Cause like they’re Marvel, they don’t need publicity...
also as a general rule of thumb if an asian character is bright fucking yellow in a comic theyre probably getting treated racist……. and even if theyre not the comic is racist since theyre perfectly okay with making the character not look like a human being
Marvel: Since people are still pissed off at us for turning Captain America into a Nazi a couple years ago, we need to do something to appeal to the people that we pissed off to get them to like us again. How can we do that?
Somebody: I don’t know, make fun of them?
Marvel: You’re a genius, you’re hired, everybody look at our new superheroes:
