Angel S4E5

So towards the end of this episode they basically do body disposal by dumping it into a portal to a different dimension (not exactly the original plan), and that makes me think of so many interesting possibilities!

For example, there's a serial killer in 1 dimension, dumping all their victims in a different dimension that's similar enough to the first dimension that the victims are recognizably people. So in the second dimension, a task force is set up to investigate this serial killer who they believe is somehow wiping all traces of their victims from the world. They're thinking it's an expert hacker, or they somehow have access to a group of people that's kept completely of the grid.

Eventually the ME would start to notice all the victims have unusual levels of something that makes it clear they're not actually from the dimension their in. Hygincs ensue, ppl from dimension 2 go to dimension 1 (or serial killer falls into his own portal) and he ends up brought to justice.

Lol, there wasn't even any follow up or consequences for Dawn on this (shown at least) despite Buffy knowing she did push the kid down the stairs for RJ. Like, I get Dawn was under a spell so it would be kinda messed up for her to need to deal with the full consequences of hurting a different kid badly, but they're throwing that other kid under the bus letting everyone believe he's a clumsy liar?? I would be so pissed if I was his parent, like, it would be so obvious to me that favoritism was going on since Buffy literally works at the school so of course Woods is gonna believe Dawn over my son 🙄

And!! Depending on how bad his injuries are, this could have major consequences for him! Not just from any chronic pain or disability, but also if it makes it so he can't play anymore. Even just the loss of the starting position can be a big deal, considering how sports is one of the big ways you can get into colleges and get tuition covered!

BTVS S7E6 Him:

Lmfao, Principal Wood really just decided this football player was clearly lying and the slayers sister would obviously never act in a violent manner unexpectedly just cause a kid lied a few times and Dawn said so??? That's so messed up.

I think it's really sweet in Once More with Feelings how Spike tries his best to get Buffy to leave before he breaks into song. He's been so careful with her since she came back to life, even before knowing she had been in heaven. Never pushing to hard or demanding anything. Just trying to give her the support and space her friends were denying her.

He wanted to protect her from his feelings breaking out, just like he'd been trying to protect her since she came back. He knew she wasn't ready for them and he didn't want to add that pressure on top of everything else she's dealing with. So he tried to get her to leave, but then the song took over and it was too late. Honestly he's just so incredibly sweet so far this season, he knows how lucky he is even to have her back and he just wants to be part of her life and doesn't want to risk being excluded again.

Buffy was definitely an enemy of the state for a bit with the initiative. The head of the initiative even tried to get her killed, wasn't exactly state sanctioned, though. I think an argument could be made for her gaining followers as well.

I think education about asexuality would really help Angel out, lol. Cordelia and everyone act like he can't be in a relationship cause he can't have sex, but that's not a requirement! Him and Buffy were together without sex for quite awhile!! Just find a nice ace person to go out with and he's good!

(Ignoring that he clearly can have sex, as long as it's not "pure bliss" lmfao. Also, if the orgasm is really the problem, there's lots he could do with a partner that doesn't result in that, lol.)

It's also interesting that Xander ends up dating the girl Jesse was super into, though the fact Jesse is never mentioned again is also super weird. But no wonder Xander won't let anyone go off on their own to get killed/is constantly following ppl into dangerous situations (which is why Buffy even survives season 1, which I'm surprised doesn't come up more when Xander's feeling like he isn't useful?) He already lost one friend when Jesse got separated from the group, and he isn't letting that happen again.

currently on season 6 of btvs, but my mom wanted to start watching it with me so I’m ALSO on season 1 again, and I just wanted to say I completely forgot Jesse existed. his character was so fucked up. you’re telling me Xander and Willow’s childhood best friend was turned into a vampire then Xander (technically) killed him in the second fucking episode!?? instant trauma, no wonder Xander’s like that

The implications of Spikes blankets and other coverings bursting into flames in the sun when he seems unharmed are pretty interesting. Like are the clothes/things he's touching a part of him somehow?

The fact that clothes and what not turn to dust when a vamp gets staked definitely fits with that theme. I know in an episode of Angel he grabs sunglasses right as he stakes someone so he could keep them.

I'll have to pay more attention or go rewatch some episodes to see if weapons or other less cloth like objects gets dusted as well, I know the stake at least doesn't turn to dust if left in from what I remember.

Buffy S5E14, Crush:

As fucked up as Spike trying to force his feelings on Buffy was, and trying to force her to be open to the possibility of romance with him, I do really respect that he committed once his feelings were outed. He barely tried to pretend it wasn't true despite logically knowing Buffy would never go for it. And then he fully owned up to his feelings and expressed them very clearly (if not in a socially acceptable way, lol) and that's really hard!! You gotta appreciate him making the choice to not hide anything about his feelings even though we know he has a lot of issues with rejection.

Buffy rewatch S3E18 Earshot:

I really appreciate the pay off in this episode with Buffy learning Joyce and Giles had sex, every interaction between Giles and Joyce since the band candy episode was leading up to this episode 🤣

Every awkward interaction and them avoiding each other while managing to keep Buffy in the dark leading to Buffy becoming telepathic and finally finding out. All so she can say "You know, if you aren't too busy having sex with my mother" and make Giles walk into a tree 🤣🤣. The writers planning and execution of this joke was perfection.

2003: Omg Xander is so funny, and the girls just don't appreciate him.

2024: Xander was a manipulative sadsack who felt that he was entitled to a woman, whether it was Cordelia or Buffy, and when faced with the consequences of his actions, he attempted to magically influence Cordy into loving him again. How is what he did any different from slipping something into someone's drink? If that spell hadn't backfired, would Cordy have just been Stuck Like That forever? Forced into loving Xander? Xander's motives and judgement were at best unreliable and at worst self-centered and toxic, and yet he had the arrogance and audacity to make the Choice to not pass along Willow's message in the season two finale. Xander Harris is a toxic narcissist, Buffy was right to never date him, thank you for coming to my TED talk.
