Can you tell me where we stand?

I loved you eagerly but they wanted me dead.

Your father the cruelest of all, he was waiting for me to fall.

A war you raised to stand up for me, for us but did it help?

All you loved had died, not once, not twice, but more than that and yet your heart still shines for those you met.

We weren't meant to be, we were meant to only fall for one another my radiant sun.

But I do not regret a thing, many turn and twist our story not knowing the truth, with a smile I died, smile meant for you.

They said Icarus fell in greatest doom, but the only reason I fell was to be closer to you.

Now my body rests peacefully as my soul reaches for sky, reaches for you to show Zeus not even god of sky can keep two lovers apart.
