I know Scanlan and Pike break apart post C1 as stated in the Taldorei Reborn book. But I think that C3 needs a real time breakup because the fandom reaction would be a very fun kind of chaos.

I really dont like how much fandom focuses on the mighty nein and especially Caleb. I feel like it really draws away from everything else and makes it feel like the Caleb and mighty nein show. Even now I see a lot of people comparing c3 and c1 to c2 and saying c2 did it better and I just don't get it.

A lot of laudmoore shippers make up meta and post passive aggressive memes against Imogen because she gets in the way of their ship.

sometime cr3 feels like the imogen show. in cr1 it felt like the percy show. imo cr2 had the best balance giving attention to each pc.

I am ďżźhaving more fun with C3 than C2 because they are leaving more of their backstories up to be ďżźwandered about ďżźďżźďżźby the community.
For example, we learn about the most interesting backstories with in the first 20 episodes
With C3, we don’t know half of what some of their deals are.

C1 & C2 were better at creating the “found family” dynamic between Vox Machina and Mighty Nein group members respectively.
C3 just doesn’t give me that vibe yet. They did a little bit of bonding and confessionals during watches but since then they don’t really talk about themselves and open up about what they want to do with their lives outside of the party. Majority of the PCxPC conversations are about the current plot which ultimately isn’t revealing that much of their characters anymore considering it tends to be the same conversation over and over again. And it seems to be the same pairs interacting & checking on each other all the time which just continues the feeling of this group as disjointed subcategorized smaller groups compared to previous campaign parties.
Has Imogen and Ashton ever spoken privately one on one, a conversation between just the two of them? FCG went like 20 episodes without talking to Ashton and they’re supposed to be friends since before the campaign even started. When’s the last time Fearne and Laudna spoke about anything of substance (not including the fire lesson)?
All the prominent fandom ships for this campaign aren’t rooted on anything substantial hence the need for ship posts collecting “crumbs.” Matter of fact, most of the ships are primarily based on either aesthetics or out of convenience. Orym is gay so logically his only option for shipping is Ashton. Laudna is goth and Imogen is pastel and that combo of colors pleases peoples eyes. No one openly and proudly shipped the automaton FCG until a guest came on and proved automaton romance was possible. Fearne has all sorts of weird aging mix ups—she’s basically a 7 year old with the body of a 112 year old Fey raising a monkey as her child—but I guess fandom’s decided it’s more important she finds someone to waste her time screwing than her navigating her own independent story. People are only shipping polyships out of a weird sexual threesome fetish rather than it being a healthy throuple dynamic. It’s like every character *has* to be coupled off in order for Fandom to be satisfied with this campaign’s collection of characters.
These characters have been a party together for roughly 2 and half months and it still feels like half of them could leave at any time. None of these characters seem to be going out of their way to make or maintain long lasting friendships almost as if they’re just putting up with each other in order to get the job done. This party’s dynamic feels like that late-shift coworkers vibe: fun to be around for a few months and you may discover a lesson or two together but ultimately aren’t lifelong friends.

Sometimes it feels like half the fandom only ever seems to care about Taliesins characters in regards to how much they can ship them with one of Liam's.

I feel like I might be the only person in the fandom who vastly preferred C1 to C2. C2 has some great moments, the characters are all wonderful and likable, but to me, the story never captured the scale and weight that C1's story arcs had. Maybe C2 was intended to be a larger story made up of smaller-scale arcs, but to then have the end still be a potentially world-ending event didn't really match up with the rest of the campaign. The only thing I really enjoyed about it was tying it into Molly/Lucien and Marisha/Beau piecing it all together. That was a joy to witness. I think C2 kinda just went on for too long. And I know covid threw a giant wrench in things and put them outta commission for a few months there, but C1 is just superior in every which way for me.

A lot of the people who freak out over any criticism of Imogen don't actually have anything to say about her plot and the Reilora and don't seem to want to go to the moon, they only care about her as Laudna's girlfriend and not about her story

Kingsley makes me feel really unsatisfied with the entire ending arc of this campaign. Hes not Molly, hes not even a simulacrum of Molly. Hes just some guy. Maybe one day he'll get Molly's memories the way Molly and Lucien saw each others lives in flashes but he wouldnt be Molly. They raced into this arc without finishing their business so they could chase down their friend, went through hell and back, all sobbed over Molly, and now seem fine and content that they got a random dude instead?

unpopular opinion, i guess, but i'm still dissatisfied with the ending - i spent the whole campaign hype for caleb's storyline and the trent showdown/some kind of epic multi-episode Assembly arc and it got dealt with in like half an episode. didn't get the full treatment it deserved. nothing about caleb's story or character development felt satisfactorily finished yet. it's like if VM ended without ever letting Percy have the Briarwood arc

I find it fascinating that the people who continue to be pissed off at fan artists drawing glasses because it steals players agency, look at fanart of Orym with a tail and shrug. Either you care about player agency or you don’t. It’s almost like they care more about protecting their little uwu than the actual issue they pretend to care about.

Between EXU and Cr3 orym has been in a total of 16 episodes and he is still icredibly boring, you could take him out of the show and it wouldnt change a thing, im still holding out hope he will loosen up but i guess liams body is rejecting his character not being edgier than a 4chan user from 2006
