At this point, I'm just going to say it: the whole final scene in the Living Waters was unnecessary. EVERYONE already knew that Grogu was Din's son, he just needed to say it at some point. There was no need to say "I adopt him". In fact, in my opinion, it's counterproductive because it implies that up to that point he wasn't his son. Doesn't the term foundling already mean "child adopted by a Mandalorian"?

Btw, the Ragnar thing was also pretty random. It would have been much better to make a small tribute to his father instead of a second baptism.

I wonder why Din's helmet is wet in this scene? According to pre-season leaks supposedly the "Mythosaur is awoken in the finale. It chases everyone around and causes a bunch of trouble before it is brought under control. (MSW)". And MSW got quite a few things right.

Is it possible that they got to film something like that but had to cut it for some reason? Too expensive perhaps? That would explain why the episode is so short. It would have been great.

About this season of The Mandalorian, it hurts me that they are not giving Din the development he deserves. Din needs to evolve as a character, what he is learning with Bo-Katan should make him start questioning his beliefs, even if he decides to follow the old ways in the end. 

But for that we need some background. We know almost nothing about his past or the time he spent at Concordia and, considering Bo's past, I think they should talk about it. Bo and the Nite Owls were members of Death Watch, a criminal organization that was based on the same planet where Din grew up. There's no way he doesn't know who they were and surely the Children of the Watch had some sort of relationship with them, even if it was just a pact of neutrality. Surely the Children of the Watch did not agree with Pre Vizsla's vision, so they either broke away or never wanted to be part of the Death Watch in the first place, but something happened between them. I NEED them to mention it, please.

Considering how many times Concordia has been brought up this season, I'm hopeful that they will mention some of this in the two remaining episodes. Maybe even a visit to Concordia? It would be great if they had to go there and Bo and Din had a heart-to-heart conversation about their past. We've seen them work so well together, maybe it wouldn't hurt for them to have a little argument to cement their relationship.

I know I’ve been pretty inactive on the blog lately, mostly because I’m paying more attention to my Instagram…but, here’s something fun for you! Ha nope it’s not Batboys, I know you were thinking it, I KNOW IT. Kidding.

Anyway, these are the two main characters from K.D. Edwards’ Tarot Sequence series! I picked up his Last Sun a few months ago, just got the second book a couple of days ago, and I am hooked. It’s a genre-mashup fantasy-mystery-action story based on tarot Arcana that I can’t even describe and there’s tons of queer representation as well. The dialogue is what’s really drawing me, it’s HILARIOUS. Kind of reminds me of Midnighter banter, which is always a good thing!
