Follow up because I'm feeling better now:

Romance is not a universal constant. It's not the only thing in life. And how sad for people to think that without romance you can't be happy. What petty existences they must be leading.

Friends, hobbies, games, interests, nature, TV, art, creation, music, so many things in this world bring sheer joy, and so many of them aren't romance.

People say college isn't for everyone, well marriage isn't either. You dont need it to get through your life. You're string and your happy on your own.

If other people are mad that you can achieve happiness without romance, then they must be jealous. They're angry that you can be happy with your life in a way that is different than how they became happy in there's, and that emotional burden is all their own, not yours.

Keep living happy, my aroace siblings. You're doing amazing and we're all getting through life in our own way that makes us happy. We love in a way that is so unique and expressive. So as people do with romance, male art, make music, make memories with this love that you feel.

Don't let people suppress your voice because of jealousy. Wear our flag proudly :)

There's nothing worse about being aroace than having people tell you that you're going to be alone in life because all your friends are going to eventually leave you.

That's not the case. Of course you can't monopolize on your friends time, but like, you can't do that anyways?

Romance and sex aren't the only things in life. You dont look down on someone because they don't want a certain food, whether they've had it before or not. It's not your job to make them try either.

I got upset today because my grandmother told me that I need to grow out of this phase I'm in or I'm going to be lonely the rest of my life because I'm going to lose my friends to their marriage. And the worst part??? This isn't the first time stuff like this has been said to me, I've had a COMPLETE STRANGER tell me this before, to my face. And I'm sick of it.

Why can't I be happy? Why do I have to do it your way? Why do you have to make me scared that I'm going to be alone in life when I know for a fact I'm not? Is it not enough to know that I'm content?
