Honestly? My main piece of advice for writing well-rounded characters is to make them a little bit lame. No real living person is 100% cool and suave 100% of the time. Everyone's a little awkward sometimes, or gets too excited about something goofy, or has a silly fear, or laughs about stupid things. Being a bit of a loser is an incurable part of the human condition. Utilize that in your writing.

🧃 ⇢ share some personal lore you never posted about before

Um, I'm a bit of a...collector 🫣 Luckily not a hoarder, since I will get rid of things that I collect occasionally, but I definitely like to hold onto a LOT. Those of you who know what my offices look like know this is true 😅 (I have a few special edition Nedoroids -- two Hinata, a Kageyama, and a Bokuto -- that are my pride and joy)

📚 ⇢ what's the last thing you wrote down in your notes app? 

I don't really use my Notes app, so the last thing I did with it was back in Nov. 2023, when I made a to-do list. It's not terribly interesting, I know!

🌿 ⇢ give some advice on writer's block and low creativity

This is a GREAT one. I'll try to do my best:

I think that, oftentimes, with writer's block and low creativity, we're more burned out than anything else? Like our minds are so full, we can't possibly think about the act of creation. It's too much, it takes too much out of us. So in those moments, it's definitely important to breathe and to give yourself the space to heal so your mind can work properly again.

For low creativity, generally I do one of two things:

I look for prompts (usually on Tumblr) and try to find something that inspires me. I just wrote a BokuAka fic based on one that I saw, and it came out quickly and easily!

My brain is a stubborn bean who really just wants to do what it wants to do. So in that case, I try to let it. If I have a deadline, but my brain is working in another direction, I give it the space to do so. Then, usually, I'm able to return to the thing I need to do.

I talk to other people about my ideas! Sometimes, I'm feeling really stuck about what to do, so I will pitch it to a friend. In talking things out, I start to get a sense for what I need to do.

I ask someone to read what I have thus far, with some specific questions in mind. Sometimes, that discussion also helps ignite the creative juices. If someone feels like it's working, then that usually gives me the confidence to keep going.

“I’m bored.” These words were now the refrain of the kitsune child that had joined them on their quest. At first, Kagome took these words to heart. Indeed, Kikyō’s scoff rang in her ears when Shippō would say such things. That was, until the true meaning of the words was revealed. When Shippō said he was bored, what he meant was “please play with me!”

Oh man, I answered this in another ask probably broadly enough it's hard to come up with something (everyone is vers, everyone loves snuggles, intimacy as important as the sex)

So let me see if I can pull in another favorite ship with headcanon. We're going with SessKagu. I don't think Sesshomaru would have let Naraku win by killing Kagura so easily. His family are able to walk through the underworld willy nilly, so I think after Naraku's fall, Sesshomaru would have surreptitiously entered the underworld again to find Kagura.

when I was a little kid at some point I got upset with my parents because I didn't have a crucifix in my bedroom and they did- I was like why do YOU get to be safe from vampires??? you're okay with me getting my blood sucked???? so we took a little trip to the catholic store but the one closest to us was run by a group of nuns that had been moved here from romania. I got a little baby pink cross and this sweet old nun was like 'aww, is this a baptism gift?' and I was like no. I need to be protected from vampires. and she immediately got SO serious and was like 'this is the best one we've got, you'll definitely be safe' and since she was literally from vampire land I was convinced she was like, van helsing. like the whole time my parents had been laughing about how cute my fear was but she literally Knew dracula and was taking my concerns seriously I held this over my parents for so long lmfao

sorry idk but the way the world is so fast and the people in it still want it to be faster is sooo annoying to me. people groaning while standing in line for 3 minutes people being mad the train ride is gonna take 2 hours people complaining that the bus is a few minutes late people being angry that construction work is taking months even though it used to take decades. don't you see the world is already so so so fast in every single aspect can't you understand that being mad will do nothing and just make your mood worse. enjoy the moments of stillness you're given. just stand in line and look at the people around you. sit on the train and watch the scenery. you'll get there.
