Hope you get the chance to see it in a theatre again.

It's taken a few years, but Hog & Fog will finally be having its first public screening tomorrow (!) at Loose Frames' Poppy Hoppy animation screening at The Pop-Hop in Highland Park in Los Angeles. The film will be part of a loop that runs from 10 AM to 8 PM, I'll be there at some point in that duration. 🐷☁️

Finally, some good food.

I put in a lot of work leveling these tracks and remixing a couple of them where I could, but it feels nice to finally have this all in 1 package. The only music not included is Chris Roberts' (@orcalife) synced-soundtrack from Hog & Fog, as the music, while also not made by me, is so specific to the visuals that it didn't do it justice to remain only as audio. Chris does receive a thank you letter and illustration with the soundtrack download though.

I debated putting masks on them in the image, but 2 of them are inanimate objects... Also was trying to not remind myself that had the state of the world been different, I actually would’ve been able to go to this screening, having missed out on Animation Block Party screenings for both Brazey and the first Frog Dog Log due to scheduling conflicts.

In 2 weeks, Frog Dog Log: Live à Laval is coming (virtually) to Brooklyn for Animation Block Party. The stream will be available in the Experimental, Graphic Design and Music Videos program on August 22 (the day after my 30th birthday…) at: www.bam.org/film/2020/animation-block-party.

The stream is free with suggested donations to Black Lives Matter (Greater New York) and/or City Harvest NYC.

Hope you’re all safe out there. I was very glad Live à Laval finally got a screening date, and that the first film was accepted as well; truly an honor to be two twenty-fifths of a 90 minute film festival. It would’ve also been wonderful to get to visit Detroit but under the global circumstances it didn’t really add up for me, and ultimately the festival decided to go online and keep folks at home. But, on the bright side, now the whole internet can stream the festival online for free and you’re not limited to being in Detroit to see it all.

Frog Dog Log: Live à Laval will be having its festival premiere… online next weekend, screening alongside the first Frog Dog Log short as part of the Detroit International Festival Of Animation.

Originally set for the Senate Theater, the festival will now stream for free at www.difestofanim.com starting April 3 at 7PM through April 4. Stay safe.
