Greetings! I'm Galore 🌸

I have been on this platform since 2009, never truly loyal to the accounts I've created. If I could remember correctly I have another account which I forgot the password to, along with this one with a separate page, which make up to 3 blogs, and I'm about to break down the reason why I've stayed on this app for the longest time ever.

1. Tumblr is my source of inspiration

As much as I love Pinterest, there's nothing like the exploration of artistic boundaries like Tumblr. I go here for visual and linguistic inspirations I won't get anywhere else.

2. I find people to be honest with their thoughts

I would look up any book, movie, or manga I'm reading here just to see how people perceived the piece. It's such a helpful space to intepretations whenever I fail to have one myself.

What do I post here?

Anything. I read as much as I write, and I write fanfictions for Sasuhina. I promote it mainly on my Sasuhina blog where anything sasuhina remains there.

And on this blog is basically a substitute for an account I've lost the password to.

I will be sharing my heart out, reviews, and whatnot, on things I take refuge in. Who knows, it contributes well to those who search up inspiration on here from time to time like I always do.

Anyways... yep. I don't do eloquent reviews like people on goodreads. I just pour out my frustration and treat my posts as if I'm speaking to you in person. I just can't find myself sitting and outlining a book review essay-style while my heart is imploding with so many emotions, so I've decided to be myself about these things.

Hope I can gain friends here, and I'll still post even if this particular one won't reach many eyes. 🌸

So I finished The Memory Police by Yoko Ogawa, and GURL.

*takes a moment to sip tea and sighs violently*

I DON'T KNOW HOW TO PROCESS IT AND I'M LAYING IN MY BED, IT'S 01:03 AM, MY ASS HURTS FROM SITTING 7 HOURS DEVOURING THAT BOOK ONLY TO FEEL SO UNEASY.

I never thought a novel would ever make me so stressed, I've never been this agitated since EVER.

I even skipped dinner because I couldn't put the book down...

ANYWAYS, I love the dynamic between the unreliable narrator, which happened to be unnamed, and I love R. I have this guilty pleasure of loving their small attraction for each other that ended up into a kiss and a whole lot of time spent together. I love how they're in love with each other. I love the old man and the scene when the 3 of them celebrate the old man's birthday together. I love the dog.

What I can't get my head wrapped around was the ending and how she disappeared, and how R waited for a long time before leaving her in the hidden room to finally see the outside world. I can't get my head wrapped around the connection between the narrator's novel and how it reflects her real world.

And as I'm laying here straigthening out my spine and ass cheeks, I'm beginning to realize how I have certain memories I made sure are "disappeared" because I can't handle the pain it brings me and I'm currently on the journey of confronting those memory-related traumas.

Not sure how to tie it back to the novel but, I absolutely hated the fact R left her there. I mean, yes, I get it she's disappearing, but hOW COULD YOU.

Why didn't you take her writing, the precious manuscript.... why didn't you take anything that has something to do with her?!

Or is the disappearance of R the end of her whole existence?

I'M SO FRUSTRATED AND I THINK I HATE HOW IT MAKES ME FEEL BECAUSE IT DEFINITELY MADE ME CONFRONT SOME THINGS I'M TOO SCARED TO FEEL ABOIT.

I'd give this book a 7/10, solely because I'm still trying to find resolve........... do I recommend it? Welp. If you like plot and character developments, then no, I don't recommend this. But if you like your emotions and consciousness regarding memories challenged, then yep I definitely recommend this.

I'd say another thing though;

It was very beautifully written.

I ship Sung Jin Woo with Lee Ju-Hee the most BECAUSE SHE CARED FOR HIM WAY BEFORE HE GOT STRONG AND WANTED TO GO THAT DINNER WITH HIM WHEN HE WAS A WEAK PERSON, AND SHE STAYED IN THAT DOUBLE DUNGEON BECAUSE SHE CAN'T STOMACH LEAVING HIM SIXOKDODOXOSNSKSOZNWOSNSKZKSNSOSNSOWNSKOWKDKS.
