a blog dedicated to documenting my art journey. I also post about projects that have gone wrong and the occasional text post, when I have something to say. Aspiring artist and autodidact.
Since I have started taking actual drawing/art classes I’ve had much less time to draw the things I like. But at the same time I have made SO much art and progress in the last 5 weeks, it’s amazing ☺️
I still have a long way to go though. It is also a little stressful, but I put this workload on myself, so I’m the one to blame 😅
Anyways - here is a little sleepy bunny. With shiny gold stars! Wow ✨
This peculiar creature know exactly how to play with their victims. They lure you in with their irresistible scent and humming the most enticing melodies. It does not take them long until you bow to their every will. And once you are in their lair - caught in their web of sweet nothings and beautiful visions - it is nearly impossible to get out again.
The Sorcerer left you alone and in charge of the chores. Of course, as any ambitious apprentice would, you used your newfound knowledge to make it a little bit easier, right? Oh look, there goes the bucket! The dishes too! There’s the broom, sweeping and flying around the room! Oh boy, it is getting a bit out of hand now, is it?
And nobody there to stop it!

Little, innocent girl with her red hood. Strolling through the woods and visiting her grandma. She doesn’t know in how much danger she is. The villain is already waiting for her - dressed in white, hiding, lurking.
But what is this? The little girl is not as naive as you think she is. She knows of the danger and came prepared. Now she’s coming for the wolf.
It does sound amazing, having a pot that cooks food and food and food for all to eat. And the more you eat, the more you get. Imagine not ever having to be hungry again. Not a single person in the world has to starve.
The small village who received this treasure thought so as well…until it started to get out of hand. The mountains started growing and encompassing everything, flooding the houses and fields, drowning people in goopy, beige porridge.
Eat up!

Hide, little kids. The wolf is just around the corner. Fletching his teeth, stretching out his claws.
He's out the window now, this is voice and his paws covered in chalk, to appear innocent. But he's not gonna stop until he snatches every last one of you. All seven of you.

They come straight from the flames of hell to visit your children. Unlike his heavenly companion, this devilish fiend picks out all the nastiest and baddest of children and shows them what they’re in for. And all that during what should be the most peaceful time of the year.
It’s as if their sharp teeth sparkle in midst of the fire and smoke that accompanies them where ever they go.
And once they have you on their list, there’s no way to run from them.
How could I do a folklore/fairytale theme without including the best folklore creature of my home country ?
Many have tried, but the sword is not even shifting in its place. It is waiting. Waiting for the one with a pure heart and good intentions. Waiting for the right time.
It might as well take a future king (or a small elvish friend in a green tunic) to free it from the rock.
riiight. I know it’s the end of November, but I still have half of my Inktober drawings left to post here. I will just do that now. Sorry for the spam!
