Actually I think the cynocephali knight shall be nameless for now, I don’t know if any of the names I’ve tried work for her lol I do like Genneth, but I’m not sure how fantastical I want to go with naming conventions.

I’m considering combining Bridget with another cynocephali character I’ve been brainstorming, a silent-protag lady knight called Genneth. I had this idea for a choose your own adventure comic/game where you follow Genneth as she goes through a surreal medieval world in search of her lost beloved.

Bridget was intended to be an outcast-finds-community allegory, as dog heads have historically been used to denote Otherness. That said, traditional cynocephali’s were used to denote the Strangeness of Foreign Cultures, but I do not have the enough knowledge to play around with Medieval ideas of race/foreignness or representing race/foreignness through animal allegories in a way that is tasteful. Instead, I’m using the dog head as a means of denoting Otherness within one’s community, a stand-in for queerness and or neurodivergency. In-universe, dog heads are not a cohesive people like they are in Medieval literature, but a random occurrence among human births. She’s biologically human, but her dog head makes people uneasy: she’s like us, she’s made of familiar creatures, but at the same time she’s Not Like Us.

I think this combined character is a knight who has done a good job playing society’s game, but now she’s on a quest that takes her outside her home kingdom for the first time. She meets fantastical beings and begins to question things about the society that raised her and her own identity/how she relates to her society. As ya do.

I’m going to call her Gweneth, bc that’s what I keep accidentally calling Genneth in my head lol. She can’t speak human tongues because her mouth is biologically a dog’s, but she can understand and write in several.

An oldie but a goodie, this was a drawing I did of Cab back in 2021 during the first run of our Shadowrun campaign. This is still a good ref for his color scheme—he has the “distinctive style” flaw and I fuckin’ ran with it lol Someday I want to put together a full bodymod tour/ref sheet thing for him.

My friends and I restarted the Shadowrun campaign we started a few years ago and I’ve been drawing MY BOYYY Cabar3t (Cabaret). He’s a troll decker on the run from his Ares exec ex-boyfriend because he might’ve maybe uhh stolen his deck after the break up. He’s faggy, blunt, a bit of a coward, and has a rocky relationship with the ol’ meatspace, but he’s wicked good at decking and hacking, so the party of Awakened folks (and one stowaway college student) are keen on keeping him around. Oh how I love him so ❤️💜❤️
