Okay, I started it over and this time, the fit is so much better.
Welp, starting my sweater over 🙃

There's something vaguely satisfying about cannibalising a project that had maybe 12% of a plan to create a project that is closer to 80% planned.

I know the feeling
Sometimes I feel a weird sort of cruel pulling directly from an abandoned project to make something better. Something something metamorphosis...

Oh my.....
I make beautiful yarns for sale. If you could reblog this, I would really appreciate it. I recently lost my job in the shitstorm that is the tech world and I am trying to stay afloat from the sales of my yarns while I go through interview after interview after interview hoping somewhere will hire me.
If you have the money to spare in this hellscape economy and need some yarn, please consider my shop. Your patronage would be greatly appreciated.
My shop link is https://MountaintopYarn.com
I am very active on Instagram: @mountaintopyarn

I'm realising the centre section of my front panel has the wrong spacing to be just like the Knives Out sweater.

I hit the first repetition last night and I've only written down 3-ish rows of 6, but guys, this is looking so good
I had to figure out a spaced 4-strand cable, which is why I had the tests further down. I don't usually work spaces in between my strands, and I was too lazy to see if someone else figured it out. The 2-strand cables I already knew how to do from a pair of hand warmers I made for my mil.
This was the riskiest part of starting the front panel, to be honest. I'd figured out most of it on a test, but my test wasn't long enough to test all the strands I wanted to include. Once I got it set up, it's a lot simpler than I thought because the strands aren't weaving in and out of each other. I also didn't expect this to look as good as it's turning out.
These were what I was thinking of doing videos for. I'm writing it down, sure. But I feel like my shorthand might be a bit confusing for others when it comes to cables. Maybe a video with the written pattern in the subtitles?

I haven't even gotten halfway through the front panel of my sweater, and I already want to buy a sweater quantity of a lighter weight yarn so I can make one that isn't going to be oversized
