I had a dream all the strawhats wore strawhats and then they couldn't tell which one was Luffys original hat cause he went around trading with people so they all looked through all the strawhats looking for something that indicated it was the original strawhat but they all looked the same

So clearly the next logical thing to do was to order (Luffy is the king of the pirates here) everyone in the world to bring any and all strawhats they can find to Luffy and they offer sanjis hand in marriage to whoever finds the right one

Before my dream ended Sanji screamed something along the lines of "wait I can't do this! I forgot I was already married!" Sanji was the one who volunteered to be the prize btw

Highschool lawlu where they met cause they were in the same math class and the teacher did the thing where they pass out the papers to a random student for them to grade

Luffy got laws paper and law got a 96 (luffy got a 28)

When they give back papers Luffy sits down next to law (there are no assigned seats and law sits alone) and tells law that he's really smart and that he didn't know anything on that test. Right as he says that he gets his paper back and shows law being like, see? I told you you're smart

From then on luffy sits next to law cause he decided he likes him

Law at first assumes luffy is just trying to cheat off him and is being hostile in hopes of him getting the hint though luffy just doesn't care

Eventually law realizes Luffy isn't trying to cheat off him since if he wanted to cheat he would have stayed in his original seat by Zoro, who constantly gets 100's on his math tests

He kinda remembers doing lamis hair when they were younger and puts it into practice with luffy

It's pretty therapeutic for law and it's become common to see luffy running around with his hair all done up with flowers or hairclips in his hair

Ever since they left punk hazard luffy just hasn't been himself, he claims he's not hungry, his sleep schedule is off, hes quiet a lot, yet he also seems to be louder and more clumsy.

Chopper has been doing countless exams on him and can't find anything wrong with him, he's cleared luffy about 10 times only to later get so concerned he has to do even more checkups for his and the crews peace of mind

They've tried talking to him but Luffy insists he's fine, better than fine actually, he's felt fantastic lately. They're reluctant to believe him, but they know how bad a liar luffy is and have no choice but believing him, though they're still not completely sure he doesn't have a mystery illness

Eventually they'll find out what's wrong with luffy

Why he hasn't had as big an appetite as usual, why he's been staying up late, why he has moments where he just stares into the ocean, why he's been louder trying to get everyones (though he was mostly doing it for one person) attention, and why he's been falling into the ocean a lot more

Later they'll realize and it'll all click in their minds

Back in saboady, Luffy and law went on an amusement park date idc about canon this happened because I need them to attempt to win each other plushies only to fail miserably so they stole them and spent a good half an hour running away and then they had to find somewhere else to take their date

Btw the date happened because luffy ran into law and thought he was pretty and he told him so and asked him on a date, law was stunned but figured why not? Besides he'd be lying if he said he didn't think Luffy was pretty cute himself

law and Luffy are sitting in the crows nest, luffy was keeping watch and law couldn't sleep so Luffy insisted he stayed there with him

So they're talking and law brings up the alliance and luffy quickly says 'affiance' as soon as law says alliance to correct him

Law at this point realizes that Luffy knows the difference between the two but he's trying to be in denial so he tells luffy he's pronouncing alliance wrong (as if his crew haven't been telling that since forever)

Luffy argues and says he knows the difference between affiance and alliance, and he knows he's been pronouncing it right because robin taught him that and Robin wouldn't lie to him

And law is slowly losing any and all hope that Luffy just doesn't know what he's saying, so law asks if he knows what affiance means to which luffy responds 'of course I do! It means torao and me are going to get married' with his arms crossed, looking at law as if challenging him to prove him wrong

They have a mini argument about why or why not they're getting married with law progressively getting more and more flustered

By the end of the night law starts referring to them as affianced captains

So one day while luffy is out on the deck she goes up to him and says she's been thinking about their affiance with law and up to this point everyone has been saying alliance so this is the first time someone said that they were all in the 'affiance' and luffy immediately corrects her and says, 'you mean the alliance'

And Nami gets her answer
