Hey! So, I know it seems like I've just suddenly disappeared, and I have! Just like Deshi, I got whisked away to another world. This world is so crazy, and it seriously bugs me that everyone here is magical except me. You'd think if I was brought to this world that I could have magical powers too. 😒
Yeah, well, whatever.
So now I'm a beast tamer! Which would be cool, if the weasel wasn't such a dick.
Anyway, there's this festival happening now and I was forced into wearing this weird getup, but after wearing it a while now, I guess it's not so bad. What do you think?
Tumblr media
I'll try to keep you updated on more strange things I experience here, but later. There are these guys trying to swindle free shit from my friend's mom's stall and now I gotta go beat 'em in a race. Shame I wasn't picked to run or we would've had an easier time winning. Oh well. At least the weasel doesn't get to run either. Chat with you later!

Still trying to make the eye glowy trick thing work. I mean, the way that I want. :/ Still pretty happy with it though.

12 Ways to Divide Japan
I'm basing this on the lesson I had today in Japanese culture class. Here is the picture my teacher shared with us. It is accessible on Google images if you search on the title of this post. I'm just sharing it here because I think it's both funny and educational.
Tumblr media
Most of it likely goes without explanation. I think my teacher said the picture was from 2011 or something. The political one is probably the one suffering from time the most. LDP still excists (they're the ruling party and have been for years. Anything else would be odd). One or more of the other parties may or may not still exist. As for Hashimoto, he was a well-known Japanese politician back when this picture was made. According to the teacher he should allegedly have told the people from Okinawa who were tired of American military bases that he'd gladlly have them. Then the people from Okinawa back-tracked because it would give them less places of employment. A say-whatever-you-want type of politician that got a lot of media attention.
NHK, for those who don't know, is short for 日本放送協会 (Nippon Housou Kyoukai) Japan Broadcasting Corporation. It is the Japanese national news station. This means, they are supposed to cover all of Japan in their news. The map allegedly tells the truth. In my home country, it is defiinitely true that the national news station only covers the capital area unless something bad, like an environmental catastrophe happens.
I'll also share this one of Kyoto (which I found on the same Google search. I don't know much about Kyoto, despite having been there twice, but I found this funny too.

Writing Announcement - The Changes of TLYFI
I will make this quick as I really should be in bed by now. I just need to post this before I can go to bed.
In case you have been following The Love You Fall Into on AO3, you will know that it was originally a series consisting of several one-shot (12 so far). I have made the decision to change that. It will now be a multi-chapter story under the name The Love You Fall Into.
Why did I make that choice?
There are a few reasons, but the main reason is that with the number of AC one-shots I have published over the past 2 years, it has run up the count to the point that it is probably the fandom I have posted the most for, or at least close to. My issue with this is that it doesn't reflect my feelings for Assassination Classroom.
Don't get me wrong, I love Assassination Classroom. It has a deeply moving story with many interesting characters and villains that I hate because I'm supposed to hate them. But it's not my favorite series. It's up there, yes, but it's not the one. Free used to be the top ranking fandom for me, and I feel like that was way more accurate, a better representation of who I am as a person and as a writer.
That's why I have decided to make TLYFI into just one story.
I will keep the one-shots that have already been published. The comments and kudos people have left on those works mean a lot to me, so I can't bring myself to even consider deleting them.
That's where we are.
The chapters will be in chronological order, so while the series starts with Kind Gestures, the multi-chapter story starts with Under The Surface. It is not a mistake.
This also means that for those who are fully caught up with the series, you will probably want to start from chapter 12. The title is Real Date. It will (hopefully) be up tomorrow, only a day late.
Thank you for reading my works so far. I look forward to you reading more of them.

Writing Announcement - TLYFI 2024
So, I have been neglecting the announcements a little bit. If someone has missed anything, I'm sorry.
In case I forgot (my memories of November and December last year are a bit hazy) a total of 3 new stories came out for TLYFI in 2023. For the People came out in October. Eyes and Ears came out in November. Keeping Secrets came out in December.
I plan on continuing 2024 by publishing one story for TLYFI once a month. So far though... it's not going so well.
Don't get me wrong. I published Training Session earlier today and it's still January, so it's not like I'm off schedule. Even the story for next month is written and only needs editing.
However, I'm starting school in two weeks. I had hoped to at least have a few more stories done by this time. The one after the February story is going to be a... two or three-short, depending on what I decide to do with the last part.
I am considering to post the remaining stories in one. We will see what I end up doing. The rest will remain as it is. I would rather avoid deleting all the comments that people have written.
If all goes according to plan, I will be posting once a month through July this year. However, I am not going to make any promises.

Anime Talk - In Memory of Nami Sano
As we are nearing the end of the year, I would like to bring attention to one manga artist who is no longer in this world. I write this with the intention of paying her my respects. Anything that may seem offensive have no such intention behind it.
Nami Sano was born on April 17. 1987 and died August 5. 2023. She was 36 years old and passed from cancer. She left behind many works, two of which have been animated. The first one was Sakamoto Desu ga? (Haven't You Heard, I'm Sakamoto) which was animated in 2016. The other is Migi to Dali (Migi and Dali), which was animated in 2023, the last episode airing December 25. 2023.
I have watched both these anime and want to talk a little bit about both of them. I want to start with Sakamoto Desu ga?.
The story is about a cool high school student named Sakamoto. He transfers to one school and solves problems in the coolest way possible, making friends and enemies along the way. I didn't watch the series as it aired, but it's still been a while. I do remember enjoying it a lot. It is seinen and mainly a comedy series. I can't describe it very well, so I encourage you to watch it, or at least check it out on MAL. I gave it a 7/10 ranking. This is also called "good". I will admit, comedy is not what makes me rank a series highly. My favorite part about the series is probably the titular character, Sakamoto and all the character dynamics he is part of.
As for Migi to Dali, I have quite a lot to say. I had seen the series as part of the line-up of the Fall season 2023 and was considering to watch it. I originally decided against it because I simply had too much to watch on the airdate, Monday. Yet, after another student from my university recommended it to me and mentioned that the author had passed, I decided I should at least watch the first episode and see if I liked it. I definitely did. I couldn't look away. A middle-aged couple named the Sonoyamas, living in Origon village, decide to adopt one child, just one. They find the perfect son, a 13-year-old boy named Hitori. However, there is something the couple do not realize. Hitori is not Hitori. Hitori is two 13-year-old twin boys named Migi and Dali, who both play the role of Hitori. They often swap places and pull off little tricks to make sure that no one will ever catch onto this.
I will say no more on the story. As it is a comedy, mystery and suspense story, I would hate to ruin all the fun. The final episode is great and I ended up giving it a 9/10 score (great) on MAL. If you enjoy mysteries like I do, then I can't recommend this series enough. You can check it out on MAL if you feel like it.
Knowing that this is Sano-sensei's last completed work, you would suspect it ended around the time of her death, but this is not the case. Apparently the manga finished in November 2021, long before she was diagnosed. According to Wikipedia, she was also working on a new project around the time of her death, which further proves that Migi to Dali ended as she intended.
While it is possible to tell that the author is the same through the art style, the stories of Sakamoto Desu ga? and Migi to Dali are so different it is hard to believe they are written by the same author.
What I can conclude is that Nami Sano had a creative mind with many ideas for gimics and interesting stories. It is sad that the world has lost such a great, creative mind this year. My heart goes out to her loved ones, and I hope that none of them are left alone at this difficult time.

so I'm Canadian and I grew up ALWAYS taking my shoes off in the house. I watch a lot of American TV though and they almost never take their shoes off in the house, which for years I thought was just for convenience when filming, but I've learned that apparently some people actually do leave their shoes on???
anyway all this to say can you reblog this with where you're from and whether or not you take your shoes off in the house?

Anime Talk - This Is Not BL
It looks like BL. It sounds like BL. It smells like BL and it... isn't BL?
In case you don't know what BL is, here's the short explanation. BL is the abbreviation of Boys Love, which is two guys who are sharing romantic interactions and may or may not be in a relationship.
There is a new anime this season, Atarashii Joushi wa Do Tennen (EN: My New Boss Is Goofy). To summarize it briefly, Momose was abused so badly by his former boss that he developed an ulcer and finally quit that job. Naturally, he is terrified to start at his new job, worrying that his new boss might be the same. However, he couldn't be more wrong. Shirosaki is quite goofy, actually. Shortly after Momose has started work at the company, his ulcers start hurting because of his worries. Seeing this, Shirosaki runs and gets him the first thing he thinks up when needing to treat a stomach that hurts, period pads.
To begin with, it just looks like a boss and his subbordinate who are going to get surprisingly well along and the goofiness of Shirosaki is probably going to completely heal Momose eventually. I still don't doubt that this will happen but...
They work at an ad company and it is not rare for Momose and Shirozaki to work together on making ads. You will be surprised at how many of those ads are for normal dating locations, such as amusement parks, theme parks and hot springs. On top of that, many of the goofy things Shirosaki does leads people around him and Momose to assume that the two of them are dating.
Adding the couple of Shirosaki's boss, the needy Aoyama, and another guy who was abused by his former boss named Kinjou, they have time to cover all the BL tropes they can think of.
So they are two guys in couples, going to dating locations, having people thinking that they're dating, but they're not dating and don't seem to plan on getting into relationships either. We're only five episodes into the series, and ever since the beginning, there has been no hint that the relationships in this series would ever turn romantic. I think episode 3 will probably be the closest we ever get to this series turning BL, so I'm fully convinced we're not going to go in that direction. I identify as a fujoshi (a woman who enjoys seeing boys in relationships) and I honestly wouldn't dream of shipping any of the characters.
Oh well, this is just my thoughts on the show. Go see for yourself if you have a different opinion than mine. It's allowed. And if nothing else, watch the series for this cute kitty!

"Please take me in."
If that cat was real, my mom can be as allergic as she wants to be, I can hate cat poop as much as I want. I had adopted him.

Writing Announcement - TLYFI Continues!
Yeah, remember that I made a post about a year ago, announcing this series? Remember how I posted 8 stories while I was in Japan and then suddenly stopped, even if I had talked about posting a 9th work?
Well, the 9th work is not a myth. I did write it. It only needed editing. I recently went back to the document where I keep TLYFI and edited it. Then I got some more ideas for other stories.
So, now with a monthly publishing schedule in stead of a by-weekly one, TLYFI will be back, starting October 31.
Why that day?
I know I mention it nowhere in the story, but the majority of the plot of that story is supposed to take place on that day. It's not a big spoiler. It's a festival. Someone tell me a better day to hold a festival in hell. I dare you. It's not really Halloween themed though, sorry to disappoint you if you were hoping for that.
I will also tell you that the story is in Maehara's POV, and it's called For The People.
Another story is going to come out sometime in November. It only needs editing. The publishing date is scheduled for... whenever the editing is done.
The last story that I have written does have a publishing date decided though. It's December 25. Anyone reading is free to guess a theme and a POV. Considering the publishing date, the themes should be easy at least. The POV might be a bit harder, but I'd still clasify it as easy.
A Valentine's story has also been planned, but knowing me, seeing as I haven't written it yet, I will not make any promises on whether it's going to come out or not.
But there is a little bit for everyone in the line-up of stories. At least so long as you understand that this is a Karmagisa series and I do ship MaeIso, even if I try to make it seem platonic, sometimes I'm more successful than others.
I need to stop thinking on this series. More ideas are creeping up, and I'm not sure I need them.
I hope to see you in a week.

Because i feel like i might be overestimating what the average is, i shall Conduct Research
This isn't about how many languages you speak, but how many youre able to count up to at least 10 in, since basic numbers are some of the first words you learn in a foreign language and sometimes you catch them without having studied the language at all
