warnings: lol none I think

genre: fluff fluff fluff but lowkey crackheadedness

requested: nah I just wanted to make one and try it out BUT feel free to request anything!!

heeseung, being the fashionista he is, was out shopping in hongdae with jake during one of their breaks

“jake please don’t tell me you’re actually thinking about buying that..”

“hyung! it says bad & boujee on it, how can I not get it.”

they walked around for what felt like hours

heeseung just could not seem to find anything he truly wanted

they went to a jacket shop

then went to look at some shoes

some shirts

jeans, pants

even started looking at the weird sock booth on the side of the road (curtesy of jake)

after what felt like a lifetime, heeseung was still left empty handed

but now instead of just being empty handed like he was at the start

he was now empty handed AND accompanied by a complaining and tired jake

“hyunnnnngg can we go inside somewhere and sit, my feet are killing me and I swear the sun is following us right now.”

“wait hold on i’m almosssst done.”

“would you like me to blame you for when Sung Deuk hyung yells at me for not being able to dance during practice.”

“yeah because you walking too much will the reason why he’ll be yelling at you.”

“HEY.”

“i'm kidding. i’m kidding, but hey, there’s a library over there do you wanna just chill there for a bit. it'll be cool inside too.”

“anywhere I can rest my legs at this point.”

they walk in and jake's attention immediately gets snatched by the cozy sitting room right beside the front counter

heeseung's attention however was snatched by something else

you were sitting behind the counter, minding your own business when two people walk in

you immediately look up at them and welcome them in, receiving a nod from the two boys

not wanting to look creepy, you look away and start minding your own business once again

"jake. jake come here."

"i recommend you come to me, these chairs feel like heaven on earth."

"that girl behind the counter. she's like, unbelievably pretty."

jake takes a look behind heeseung and nods

"yeah she's gorgeous." he pats heeseung's shoulder, "way out of your league though."

heeseung slaps his hand off of him and pouts, "cmonnnnn, do you actually think."

laughing at his pout he says, "nah nah just teasing man, but lemme give you some tips."

a short while passes by and a book gets placed in front of your eyes on the counter, causing you to look up and notice that it's one of the guys from before

wait why is he actually cute though

“umm I-i really would like this book but I don’t have a library card.” he said, scratching his head

it took you an embarrassingly long time to register what he said

totally not due to the fact that you were staring at him

“oh, yeah! that’s fine. you can just tell me your name and phone number, then it should be ok.”

you realize that it's taking him an equally embarrassingly long time to respond to you

"yeah totally. it's lee heeseung and-"

you could tell by looking at his face that he was contemplating something, as if he wasn't sure what he should say next

"and my number... you're only gonna be able to get after I take you out for some coffee."

the boy immediately looks down and mumbles a, "sorry that was so stupid my friend told me to say that lemme just give you my number."

you started to laugh as loud as the max level was in a library and looked up at the boy

"i'm guessing you're not the type to usually hit on girls huh?" you ask

"is it that obvious." he says, lowkey laughing at himself

"i will say though, great effort and well executed. maybe a tad bit more of confidence and you could've received a perfect score. but I will applaud for the attempt."

you start clapping while heeseung steps back and bows, mumbling a, "thank you, thank you."

"my name's y/n by the way"

"would it be too much to pull another pick up line right now?"

"let me hear it first."

"pretty name for a pre-"

"yes, it would be too much."

you both laugh as you take the book that he was wanting to check out

"and I'm guessing the book was just a prop huh?"

"umm excuse you y/n, i happen to read many books. i'm much smarter than i look, mind you."

"ahh yes, because the smartest of the bunch always chooses to pick up, Knock Knock Jokes for Kids" you say, holding up the book

heeseung immediately turns red and snags the book away from you

"first you mock my pick up lines and now you're mocking my future dreams of being a stand up comedian. don't be surprised if you see a bad yelp review when you go home miss y/n."

"stand up comedian? and what will become of enhypen?" you laugh

the minute you said that however, it seemed as though his entire face went pale

you put two and two together and immediately console him, "don't worry, I'm not here to rat you out or get you in any trouble haha."

the minute the words come out of your mouth, relief washes over him

"are you a fan?"

"I watched i-land a while back but didn't realize you guys were already a group now until a couple days ago. Congrats by the way, ya'll went through hell and back."

"yeah, it was worth it though." he says, taking a glance at Jake who was very close to passing out on the big fluffy bean bags that were basically consuming him

"i mean, obviously, your favorite was me though right?" heeseung says, winking at you, expecting a snotty remark

"indeed it was." you say, winking back

he gets red for what seems like the 10th time in the short conversation with you and laughs

after you two talk some more, you both hear your names being called, one from the back room and another from the now ball of fluff named jake

you reach for a piece of paper and pen and start scratching something down

handing it over to heeseung, he notices that you wrote your number

"hey, i was supposed to give you mine over coffee."

"yeah, but you never said i couldn't give you mine." you smirk and wave goodbye as you walk towards your coworker who needed your help

he watches as you walk away, grinning to himself soon runs to jake, excited to brag about the number he got from not only just a pretty girl, but one he actually can see something with
