so, feanorians in ukrainian embroidered shirts, I put in this more thoughts then I probably should have, so some fun facts

the main parts of embroidery is their names, in ukrainian embroidery you can encrypt words, dates, even family trees into patterns and this thing was so interesting to me that I encrypted feanorians names in embroidery

also these names are not their sindarin names, they're mother-names (aka amilessë) because it's very common symbol in ukrainian culture "a mother embroiders a shirt for her child as a protecting charm" especially before said child going to the long adventure and i feel some sad parallels about noldors adventure to the middle-earth

also amrad and amras's mother names are the same, so on their shirts there are two different varieties of "writing" the same name

I've said this multiple times and I'm reminded of it whenever I think of the Nargothrond coup scene - Curufin is not more persuasive than Celegorm, we see Celegorm persuade people multiple times in canon. The difference is mainly that Celegorm seems to have his father's leadership that has people agreeing with his passion before they can think things through, while Curufin seems to have his mother's quiet insight on how people work, which he uses to move everybody like pawns to suit his purposes. At the end of the day there's a whole lot of overlap, though

Curufin/Celegorm?

Celegorm sloshed through the blood, breathing heavily even as he ran through the flat land of their home. Dead bodies of orcs were scattered around him, soaking the grass with black blood and guts that still steamed as he ran.

Celegorm didn't dare to call out his brother's name, his instincts he gained from Oromë's cult snarled at him to be quiet! Even running was pushing it- orcs weren't elves any longer but in Celegorm's experience that didn't mean they couldn't hear the beat of shoes on the semi frozen ground-

He found his brother on the frozen ground. It was hard to see if he was injured due to his black riding gear, though with Curufin's frown, Celegorm doubted anything was wrong.

No, Curufin looked up as he entered the small area, rising to his feet.

The only blood Celegorm could see was blood that ran down Curufin's neck and below his collar. Celegorm felt a flash of relief that the blood was black and not scarlet before he was finally able to grasp his brother and pull him. With gentle hands, Celegorm cupped his brother’s face, ignoring his own hands that were drenched in blood, and rushed to put his lips against the shorter man's, stealing Curufin's breath as they kissed- chapped lips against chapped lips.

Celegorm could feel the sticky blood dry against his hands, and just didn't care, desperate to feel his brother's body against his own. Curufin wrapped his arms around Celegorm's, deepening the kiss until they were both breathless and Curvo pulled away, who still looked pulled together despite the unwanted battle and the crushing kiss.

"Tyelkormo-" Curufin's eyes seemed darker despite Arien still being high in the sky.

"I'm glad you're ok," Celegorm whispered, keeping his hands cupped around his brother. "Thank Eru, you're safe"
