PJO EPISODE 6 THOUGHTS (possible spoilers if you’ve only watched the show)

okay so, as a book reader I hadn’t really liked episode 4 and 5 of the PJO series, I was kinda put off by the changes BUT episode 6 quickly fixed all that. We are now off the beaten path and i’m actually really enjoying it??? the pacing in this episode was excellent, Lin actually did amazing as Percy, Grover felt like an actual main character again, Percabeth was percabething, the lightning thief reveal seemed a bit washed out and a lil quick but mmmm we can get past that.

(Percy driving the car and crashing bc he got lost in Annabeths eyes, someone sedate me im gonna lose my mind they’re so cute 😭 also that was so funny omfg right before i started the episode i was saying how i missed how funny the books were and how the show wasn’t as funny. this episode delivered on the jokes for SURE)

i was MAD mad last episode bc Percy didn’t get the pearls BUT i understand now why that decision was made. i like the change, im so curious to see what he’s gonna do with four pearls. im also very curious to see what’s going to happen now that the summer solstice has passed since that was a HUGE reason that they kept going in the book. I like that Percy has made the choice to keep going on his own, he’s not going to give up this quest. He never wanted to be on it in the first place but now he has this new sense of himself, he wants to make his father proud but i think he really just wants to prove to himself that he CAN be good enough.

oh! and the fight with Ares… what’s that going to be about??? If they’re accusing Clarisse of being the thief then is she going to be involved or are they going to just take it out on him? i’m just so excited bc it feels like i’m reading the books again, there’s a NEW twist!! i don’t know what’s going to happen anymore and i think that’s what breathed life back into the show for me.

I’m also very excited to see how Luke is gonna come back into play… the info from book 5 on May too?? that was crazy, i was shocked. I really like that, I feel like Rick is getting to do a lot more foreshadowing now. How is the reveal gonna go??? Are they gonna get to Olympus? Go back to camp? WILL THE PIT SCORPION BE THERE???

anyways, i was losing steam on this show thinking it was becoming a lost cause but i’m finally liking it again.

also the underworld looks SO cool next episode im so excited.
