When I return from the dead

So, where have I been these past few weeks?

Well, I worked hard to apply to all positions I could. Even still, I found myself feeling down in the dumps...No one was responding. Most of my friends had began their new jobs this month, while I felt left behind.

I tried to avoid most social media sites and posts because I felt constantly reminded that I was without permanent work, that I could not support myself anytime soon.

This past week and a half, a change occurred: I received a phone call a week after applying somewhere for an interview 5 days later. I prepared for hours, even did a mock interview. Then after that interview, I had a received a call scheduling second one there later in the week. Then a job offer! Even today, I received a call seeing if I had a job yet, because a job had become available at another firm!

I honestly never could see the finish line, the light at the end of the tunnel, the possibility of success for most of the past few weeks. But finally, it looks like the light has finally destroyed the darkness. While I know it will still be a struggle to get into a new routine, and that long days and nights lie ahead, at least I will be doing what I've been working towards for years and years.

Thank you for your support! While I will try my best to update more frequently now that I am feeling better, it may be tough since I will be very busy, but I look forward to reconnecting with you all!

Another song from Mr. Magoo's Christmas. This was the one I always remembered throughout my childhood and still remember as an adult. It's a very hopeful song, that in the future, things will get better, and although the present isn't very bountiful, it should still be treasured.
