Chehel sotun is another classic garden that forms one of 9 Persian Gardens, recognized as the UNESCO World Heritage site. This garden was built in the Safavid era, under the reign of Shah Abbas II and was used for his entertainment and receptions. Kakh-e chehelsotun means the palace of 40 pillars, but there are only 20 real pillars and when reflected in the pool they become 40. The majestic palace in the garden is surrounded by tall trees and like other historical sites, this palace is adorned with mirror works and miniature paintings, depicting wars between the Persian and Ottoman Empires. (the battle of Chaldiran) what most travelers like about this building is that everything is kept like it was built and due to its proximity to Naghsh-e Jahan Square, it is one of the first attractions visited by many tourists visiting Isfahan. #Irantour #Irantours #Travelagency #traditional_gardens #Touroperator #history #historical_building #house #trip #tourguide #trip #architecture #Qajar #tours #traditional #Persian_Gardens #Persian #Persia #old #Chehel_sotun #Garden #legendoflostland #legend_of_lost_land (at Chehel Sotoun) https://www.instagram.com/p/B8lB4NKAnab/?igshid=x01b5jrz5ghi

Iran is home to one of the world's oldest civilizations, beginning with the formation of the Elamite kingdoms in the fourth millennium BCE. It was first unified by the Iranian Medes in the seventh century BCE, and reached its territorial height in the sixth century BCE under Cyrus the Great, whose Achaemenid Empire stretched from Eastern Europe to the Indus Valley, one of the largest empires in history. The empire fell to Alexander the Great in the fourth century BCE and was divided into several Hellenistic states. An Iranian rebellion established the Parthian Empire in the third century BCE, which was succeeded in the third century CE by the Sasanian Empire, a leading world power for the next four centuries. #iran_tour_travels #irani #iran_nature #iran_tourism #traveling #legendoflostland #legend_of_lost_land (at Iran) https://www.instagram.com/p/B8VmEE8Ai07/?igshid=b2wki7jgs8yx
