Day 5 and 6: Alternative Universe and Royalty
I dropped myself into a Bleach crossover with Chuuya's old design via sword. So I thought why not make him an Arrancar?

Fun fact I learned from drawing the SB epilogue scene:
The epilogue says Chuuya was on a road in the San'in region. I looked up where that was on a map, out of curiosity for how far away that was from Yokohama:
Then, knowing Asagiri loves references (as should be), I went on a little wikipedia hunt and found that the Nakahara Chuuya Memorial Museum was built where his father's clinic was established after the war. The house's description and what was around it in the novel's translation didn't seem to match the museum, so I ended up improvising a new place. However, using that as a reference point for where the in-world house and clinic was, we get:
an 11 to 12 hours drive to get there
Chuuya showed up on his motorcycle. Akutagawa and Higuchi were already there in a mafia car. They all DROVE there!!! Chuuya stayed for like half an hour to watch from afar before just leaving!!!!!!!

Supernatural beings in Bungou stray dogs.
HP Lovecraft: Eldritch being. He's able to transform parts and even his full body with tentacles. His true form is a giant entity made up of squid like tentacles and bat wings.
Dazai has confirmed that this form is not be an ability, and can't be nullified by him.
Bram Stoker: Vampire, referred to as the undead king. His ability can turn others into his kin and works like an infection. Bram has quite typical vampire abilities.
He has caused one of the 10 great calamities.
Atsushi Nakajima: Weretiger. His ability can transform parts of and even his whole body into that of a tiger. Including gaining tiger like senses and speed.
Atsushi can negate physical wounds, returning his body to its original state. And has previously transformed under a full moon.
His ability has been called the antithesis (opposite) of all special abilities. It is also the guide to the book. Atsushi had stated his ability isn't an ability, it's himself.
And has been called a beast of calamity.
Chuuya Nakahara: Vessel of Arahabaki. Arahabaki is referred to as a god of calamity. Arahabaki first appeared as a 4 legged black beast of fire and smoke.
Corruption, aka the true form of Chuuya's ability is the result of Arahabaki overidding Chuuya. Turning him into a being wanting and relishing in destruction.
Paul Verlaine: Vessel of Guivre. Guivre is referred to as a demonic beast, as it was named after said mythical beast. A giant black beast that appears reptilian, but not made of physical matter rather as limitless energy.
It reacts to emotions, primarily hatred and would become hostile to anything it perceived as a threat. Becoming overridden by Guivre has a similar effect on Verlaine as Corruption has on Chuuya.
Spotting quite the similarities 👀
