The Pact:

"Become my Priestess, and the sky is yours for the taking."

One of the earliest, and most impactful, parts of Feather and Zephyr's friendship is the Pact they forge with each other. Its conditions are quite simple, really; Feather will pledge herself as an acolyte to help Zephyr regain his strength after his millennia long sleep. In return, Zephyr will give her the power necessary (and teach her how) to fly.

Many are concerned when they find out about the duo's Pact; for one, it was discovered that Briar once worked a similar deal with the Lord of the Locusts, and we all know how that turned out.

Two children forging a Pact, even if mutually beneficial, is entirely unprecedented. How long until Feather and Zephyr realize a Pact isn't your typical pinky swear?

Tickled Pink (and other colors)

Thanks to her Dreaming Eye, Joy has a very unique way of seeing the world. Every living thing has an Aura that has its own unique color and brightness. This aura can also rub off onto sentimental objects, or if enough people hold reverence to it, an expanse of land or even a landmark.

Joy can also be physically affected by the strength of an Aura, if it is strong enough. The aura of a Veni-Yan-Cari or a Dragon may give her a slight headache, while malevolent forces will trigger a nosebleed and make her lightheaded.

Eduardo wasn't quite sure what to introduce himself as. Tio Eddie did have a pretty good ring to it. But was that right?

There wasn't a familial word for "Imaginary Friend of a child's parent," but then again, most Imaginary Friends didn't stick around long enough to even be aware their creators had children at all, let alone hold them in their arms.

For that, Eduardo considered himself very lucky to have a friend like Nina who still cared.

Maybe, for now, he could start with that.

"...I'm your Mama's best friend in the whole wide world..."

She yawns, not caring for much else but sleep. It's tiring work, being a baby.

"...when you're big enough, I'd like to be your friend too."
