can i just say that “im the one who gripped you tight and raised you from perdition” is such an objectively bonkers insane WILD line of dialogue to say- much less to be the FIRST WORDS of a CHARACTER that the show was meant to KILL OFF after 3 EPISODES. like. you dont let THIS be a character’s first words and then fucking kill them off 3 episodes later. NORMAL TV SHOWS would be like “i’m the one who pulled you out of hell” but meanwhile on cw’s supernatural the writers were too busy tripping and stumbling into GREATNESS like i truly cannot believe cas was supposed to get offed after 3 episodes. im the one who gripped you tight and raised you from perdition. who wrote this. what the actual fuck

pro tip on how to explain the spn ending to your friends

Have them imagine an alternate ending for the Harry Potter saga: what if Ron died in book 6 and never got mentioned again? Imagine he had no funeral and he was never grieved by any of the characters. 

After Harry kills Voldemort he starts planning to get a wizard career and finally rise to his full magic potential. First, he wants to visit the Dursleys and he falls off the stairs in their house. Hermione offers to heal him with magic but he says “he was always supposed to die in this staircase”. He promptly dies, right after a semi-romantic moment between him and his cousin. Nobody has time to attend his funreal because they’re busy with work (maybe?). Only Hermione and his owl show up.

Hermione moves on, gets a party wig and marries a man (but we never learn anything about him, his face is blurred). We do not know whether Hermione manages to follow her dreams and become the cleverest professor in all of Hogwarts, the details of her life are left out in favor of showing her son for some reason. 

All of the other characters - the Weasleys, Luna, Neville, Draco, Snape and Dumbledore - are killed by Voldemort and then resurrected off screen, we never see them again. 

Ginny’s arc is building up to have her be the love interest of one of the leads but then she’s just never mentioned again. 

Harry reunites with his abusive adoptive family in heaven because he doesn’t want to meet his actual parents. He doesn’t want to see Ron either but he smiles when he hears that he’s here.

The last shot is just Daniel Radcliff waving at the drone camera, thanking everybody for coming to the movie theater, as a Katy Perry cover of the main theme plays in the background.

I AGREE! I think even the cast members said it was a 'homosexual decalartion of love' but it can't be, when Cas is not a male, right? So because we don't know surely if Dean reciprocates or not, there's still nothing gay about this, at least for the fans who pay attention. I really needed Dean to reciprocate somehow, even after Cas' death, maybe in just praying for him. That would be that for me, then they could mention he went to rebuild heaven and Dean would smile and I'd be way happier about the finale.

Castiel - genderless

People tend to get mad at me over this but… Castiel is in a male vessel, but he, himself, is not male. He, himself, has mentioned this in the series; that angels may have the vessel of one sex or the other, but that the angels, themselves, are genderless. I didn’t look at this as a proclamation of his sexuality, but a proclamation of his love for Dean. Sexuality doesn’t matter. The love is what matters. People are hyper-focused on sexuality, it’s kind of odd. If Castiel were to live in a female vessel, which he has before, he would not, in this case, be considered homosexual. I think the only issue in this situation, according to Castiel, is that he didn’t think Dean would be able to look past the vessel. But I don’t think Castiel looks at himself and thinks of himself as being a human male. I think he looks at himself as being an angel in Jimmy’s vessel, so in this case, I can’t see it as a proclamation of sexuality, but instead, a declaration of love. And in this show, many many many characters die after professing their love.
