12月1日から、twililightにて、箕輪麻紀子の作品集『Afternoon Reading』（DOOKS）刊行記念原画展を開催いたします。

ぜひ足をお運びください。

会期：2023年12月1日（金）〜　11日（月） 会期中休み：12月5日、6日 会場：twililight

（東京都世田谷区太子堂4-28-10鈴木ビル3F＆屋上/三軒茶屋駅歩5分） 営業時間：12:00〜21:00 

今作には、本と向き合うゆったりとした時間や空想、 その周辺の風景が描かれており、 全て本書のために書き下ろした新作となります。

巻末には、台湾のアーティストであり、 ブックレーベルnos:booksを運営している Chihoiにとても素敵な詩を寄せてもらいました。

コロナ禍でChihoiから私への小さなお願い事のお礼に、彼自身の 著書　智海”Library & I’m With My Saint 圖書館 ＆ 我和我聖人”(nos:books)という本を送ってくれたことがあった。

Chihoiの本や図書館をテーマにしたコミック作品や、 韓国のUnlimited Editionで私の作品集を丁寧に見てくれたことを 思い出し、私のドローイングについてと、“Midnight Cat“という架空の本を題材にして、絵ではなく文章をお願いできないかという 無理難題に対し、予想を遥かに超える素敵な詩を寄せてもらった。

夜の煙草休憩の時間に何度も推敲してくれたことを教えてくれた。 この詩が出来上がった夜の時間を想像して、とても嬉しくなった。

本を読む人の姿は忙しさを忘れ、ゆったりとした時間が流れている 雰囲気がある。 忙しない日々の中、その姿にとても憧れた。 この作品群はそういった私の、時間や風景への憧れ、想像から出来上がった。

作品集『FILM』の刊行を記念して展覧会を開催します。

本展では、箕輪麻紀子が近年取り組んでいるリトグラフ作品と、ペインティング作品を展示します。

また、会場では、通常版作品集のほか、リトグラフプリント付の特装版も販売します。

Makiko Minowa will hold an exhibition to celebrate the publication of her second book "FILM," a collection of works by Makiko Minowa from

ELVIS PRESS.

The exhibition will feature lithographs and paintings that Makiko Minowa has been working on in recent years. In addition to the standard edition of the book,

a special edition with lithograph prints will be on sale at the exhibition.

Makiko Minowa's works are always filled with a sense of loneliness and nostalgia.

They tickle forgotten memories and foreshadow

the continuation of a dream that has yet to be seen.

The "nothing scenery" in front of the artist's eyes overlaps with the "daily life" of each viewer, and evokes many "nothing scenery" that is nowhere to be found, but seems to be everywhere.

I received stickers and store cards from Veranda Hwawon, a flower store in Gyeongju, Korea, where I recently painted a sign for their shop.

I was impressed with the printing on the stickers.

The rainbow hologram was 🌈 something I've never seen before.

I have a dream to go to Gyeongju and I want to go abroad more and more.♡

After the first three days of the New Year was my first visit to Kumamoto,Japan.

There was an incident that my flight back was cancelled due to snow in Tokyo.

As I love airplanes, I took a lot of pictures at the airfield and was satisfied.

I can't wait to go abroad with peace of mind.✈️
