Lucy doesn't bring it up. Everyone went through a lot and Lucy didn't wanna add to that

The first person that figures it out is Gray right before Fairy Tail disbands

He sits next to her and asks who she lost. Gray says he can tell by the look in her eye. It's the same one he has

Lucy admits she had to break Aquarius' key. It's the first time she says it out loud and she turns into a sobbing mess again

Gray hugs her tightly and thanks her for saving them. He compliments her on making such a hard decision and assures Lucy that he will make it up to her

She just asks that he lives a long and happy life. Gray promises her and the two of them mourn their losses together

Natsu finds out before they leave to find Wendy. He snoops around her apartment and finds the broken key

He doesn't understand what happened but Lucy finds him holding it and explains what she had to do

Him and Happy feel extremely guilty for leaving her alone after losing her oldest friend

Lucy insists it's fine and that Aquarius isn't dead. She's still slightly bitter they left her so she'd rather not talk about it

Natsu and Happy make a plan that day to figure out a way to make it up to her

Natsu really starts pushing the 100yq when he finds out Aquarius' key is out there. His main priority is getting that key to Lucy

Wendy and Carla find out pretty soon afterwards. Lucy makes a comment about how she wished she could summon Aquarius and Wendy asks if the two were fighting

Wendy cries when Lucy tells her. She hugs Lucy tightly and tells her she understands the pain Lucy went through.

Wendy also makes sure Lucy knows how sorry she is for leaving Lucy alone (as if it was her fault) and how she will always be here for Lucy if she needs to talk

Lucy just thanks her and tells Wendy she is just happy she could save her friends

Carla thanks Lucy for making the right choice

Erza sees the necklace hanging from around Lucy's neck one day and questions it. The entire camp falls silent

Lucy just gives Erza a sad smile and tells her that she had to make a choice between losing one friend or all of her friends

Erza doesn't fully understand but Lucy won't talk any further so Erza drops it

The others eventually explain it to her and Erza decides she owes Lucy a life debt

Erza goes out of her way to look after Lucy and check on her for even the littlest things. (including dropping everything to bandage a papercut on Lucy's finger)

Lucy knows what she's doing, but she doesn't say anything knowing that Erza has a strict moral code
