Born of the scourge is a bittersweet tales humanity at its worst.

In this world Stars fall on earth to cure the world of darkness or so is the legend. Celena, the sweet princess of this kingdom, catch Sol as he fell from the sky and thus start the story.

Sol is a celestial being, at times he feels like an innocent child discovering humanity and humans. When he meet the heroes who are to go with him to accomplish his destiny he’s immediately attracted to Loren.

And let me tell you: those two are the absolute cutest babies who ever lived. EVER. They’re so sweet and soft and damn I love them. Their romance is not the main plot point but it’s still so sweet.

Mira and Nebora were so damn cool. Especially Nebora. I mean woman with an axe, yeah, please and thanks.

If you enjoy fantasy, ruthless world and peaceful characters doing their best despite everything, well you might just love this as much as I did. It’s just so bittersweet and sad yet hopeful at time.

Book review !

I’m a huge fan of C.S Poe’s Memento mori serie, since I’ve finished the third one I decided to read all of her books while waiting for the fourth one 🫡.

Southernmost murder is a standalone, and it’s the perfect entry for C.S Poe works ! It’s funny, full of banter and a mystery that will keep you on your toes.

Aubrey is hilarious, he has narcolepsy and he’s full of sarcasm, and Jun is a sweetheart. It’s impossible to not love them both. I wouldn’t object to have more of them 🤞

It was super funny to see Sebastian too (he’s from Snow and Winter serie).

The mystery is super intriguing and the reveal was both satisfying and heartbreaking.

Anyway if you enjoy small town vibe, pirate stuff and swooning romance: then pick this one up !

*received an arc from the author and this is my honest opinion*

Time travel !!!!! Bisexual main character !!!! Magic society!!!!! Hurt and comfort bass boosted.

This was everything I wanted and needed to be honest. I just love everything related to time travel, it’s just a cool concept overall.

I loved the writing, the characters and the story kept me hooked throughout the whole book. Everything was so compelling. And I will sagely wait for more because I have so many questions.

Shoutout to Morgan who has the same name as me, love to eat, and deserve to be bubble wrapped. Darius deserve the bubble wrapping treatment too.

I loved the representation, Darius is a Demi-Bisexual man, and he’s super clear about it, and seeing it ON TEXT. Yeah love that. Fuck his coworker for being a biphobic piece of sh!t. Hated her so much.

Emily was a delight. Trinity too !

And Ines. Beloved, she’s just tired of everyone’s bullshit. I love her so much. She deserves 6 months of vacation on a spa.

Anyway I loved it!!!
