random/out of context post but i want to say i’m so proud of my mom right now. she’s recently been diagnosed with adult asd after many years of wondering what was “wrong” and masking certain behaviors others had deemed “weird” to her. she has recently felt comfortable enough to share her story with me of her essentially masking her entire life because she and her brother were raised by highly religious parents that dismissed anything surrounding mental health. she’s finally been given the resources she’s needed for so long and i love seeing her happy and not trying to hide anything :) i love you so so much mama <3
