~The Day After Part 1~

(Aaron’s p.o.v)

     I was sitting on the bed in my and Y/N’s room setting out some clothes for Evie while Y/N took a shower with her. We have about an hour until Evie’s appointment and she is being cranky because she hasn’t slept since she woke up at 4am and she’s feeling awful. Jack says he’s feeling pretty okay, just a little warm. As I was laying the clothes out Jack ran into the room, “Dada I can’t reach the shirt I want to wear to the doctor.” I nod and follow him back to his room. We’ve all decided to go to the doctor just in case Y/N and Jack need to be checked out too. When we get to his room I look at his closet “Which shirt do you want buddy?” He points to a Spider-Man shirt and I grab it for him, handing it to him. He smiles, “Thanks dada.” I smile and leave him to get dressed as I walk back to the room seeing Y/N standing wearing one of my old shirts as she tries to dry off a wiggly cranky Evie. I walk over and sit on the bed next to Evie and she looks at me stopping her wiggling just enough for Y/N to dry her off. Y/N hands her to me and I put a diaper on her as Y/N goes to get herself dressed. I hold up the two outfits I picked out for her. One long sleeved dress and one short sleeved dress, “Which one?” She points to the short sleeved blue one as she puts her hand in her mouth. I smiled and put it on her with some matching shorts underneath. When I’m done and putting her socks on she rubs her tummy, “Dada uuk.” I nod, “I know princess you feel yucky.” She shakes her head, “No no uuk.” I look at her as I get her shoes on, “I know princess you're sick you're gonna feel yucky.” She just shakes her head again and Y/N walks out of the closet looking at her, “Aaron she looks really green I think she’s gonna…” She trials off as Evie vomits all over herself, me and the bed. She starts to cry as soon as it happens and Y/N walks over carefully picking her up, “Yep that’s what I thought.” I look at Evie, “Oh uuk dada understands now princess. I will get this cleaned up, you get her cleaned up.” Y/N nods and carry’s Evie to the bathroom. 

     She comes out a few minutes late with Evie resting on her hip in just a diaper. She walks out of the room to Evie’s room. I stand up and take my clothes off, throwing them on the bed sheets then I go and change in the closet . I walk back out to the room and pull the sheets off the bed carrying them to the laundry room. I throw them in the washer and start it up.

     When I get to Evie’s room I set her on the floor as I grab a pink version of the outfit she threw up on. I kneel down next to her after getting the clothes, “Are you feeling like you're gonna throw up again princess?” She shakes her head and I start to get her dressed. After I’m done she crawls herself into my lap curling herself against my chest. I slowly stand up keeping one hand on her to keep her steady to my chest as I start to pack up a diaper bag with lots of extra diapers and a few extra outfits. I put a few toys and pacifiers in the bag as well. As I’m putting a pacifier in the bag Evie makes a grabby hand towards it. I smile and place it in her mouth as I kiss the top of her head. I walk out of the room with the bag making sure everything’s in it as I notice Evie’s eyes drifting shut. I hear Jack running down the hall and I look at him signaling him to quiet down and he nods looking at Evie. I start to walk to the front door with him and he says, “Mama can I bring my IPad.” I nod at him and he runs to get it from where it charges in Aaron’s office. I turn when I hear Aaron’s footsteps and he smiles walking over to me kissing Evie’s forehead as she’s finally asleep after being awake for 7 hours. He smiles and whispers, “Where’s Jack?” I looked at him, “He went to grab his iPad.” He nods and Jack runs back out with his iPad and headphones and Aaron picks him up as we make our way out of the house to the car. We got the kids situated in their seats and then we got in the car with me in the driver’s seat. I start to drive and say to Aaron, “Do you think we have some time to stop for coffee because I don’t know how long I can last on empty?” I hear him chuckle as he says, “Yeah I think we’ll have some time. We should go to our favorite coffee place because they have those bagels Jack likes and we’ll be able to get Evie a milk for when she wakes up.” I nod and start to drive to the coffee shop. When we get there I park and Aaron says, “I will quickly run in and get all the stuff. Do you want anything other than your coffee?” I shake my head, “No, but get an extra bagel so that if Evie’s hungry when she wakes up we can give her little pieces of it.” He nods and kisses the side of my head before he gets out of the car. I turn back to look at Jack and he smiles at me as I say, “You doing okay buddy? Is Evie still asleep?” He nods and says, “I’m okay mama and yeah she’s still asleep.” I smile, “Okay buddy. Dada’s getting you a bagel.” He smiled and clapped. I smiled and turned back around seeing Aaron walking out of the shop holding a bag and a drink holder. He gets in the car and hands me my iced coffee and a bag. I look at him a little confused and hold up the bag, “What’s this?” He smiled and said, “Well I know you said you didn’t want anything other than the coffee, but they had those donuts you liked so I got it. You can save it for later if you want to.” I smile and lean over pecking his lips before I say, “Thank you baby. I will eat it later.” He smiled and turned around to Jack, handing him a bagel and an orange juice. When he turned back around I started to drive again. It takes about 15 minutes to get to the doctors office and when we get there Evie is wide awake and fussing a little. 

     After I park Aaron gets Evie out of her seat resting her on his hip. I grab mine and Aaron’s coffees and put the bagel for Evie in the diaper bag swinging the bag over my shoulder. Jack gets out of the car putting his iPad in the diaper bag as he holds his bagel and orange juice in his hands. I walk behind Jack as we walk through the parking lot. When we get inside the doctor's office Aaron checks Evie in while I take her and Jack over to the waiting area. Evie cuddled very close to my chest as I sat with her in one of the waiting room chairs which is a testament to how sick she is because she is never a cuddle bug like this. I look at Jack as he plays on his iPad and I move some hair out of his face, “How are you feeling buddy?” He smiles, “I feel good mama. I don’t feel sick anymore.” I smile, “That’s good buddy. I’m glad you're feeling better.” He smiles, “Me too I just wish sissy would feel better.” I look at Evie, “Me too buddy.” Evie looks up at me and slowly takes her pacifier out of her mouth, “Mama I drink.” I look at her and nod, “Okay princess I have milk or water which do you want?” She pouts her lip out for a second, “Water pwease.” I nod and grab the sippy cup of water I packed from home for her. I hold it up to her and she opens her mouth a little. I put it in her mouth and tilt it a little for her so she can drink. I pull it away after a few minutes and she starts coughing like crazy so I sit her up and tap her back a little as she coughs. She starts to cry loudly as soon as she’s done coughing and Aaron walks up and says, “Here let me hold her, maybe walking around will calm her.” I nod and hand her to him. He grabs her sippy cup and pacifier as he starts to slowly walk around with her. She continues to cry, not calming down. A few parents in the waiting room with their kids give us sympathetic looks as Evie’s crying gets louder. 

(Aaron’s p.o.v)

     I rub Evie’s back as she cries and I hum try and comfort her and normally it works immediately but it doesn’t seem to be working this time. She starts to heave a little and I pat her back a little looking at her, “Evie you need to calm down your gonna end up puking again if you keep heaving like this.” She looks at me crying and shaking her head, “Can’t dada.” I put my hand on her cheek, “Yes you can princess just breathe in and out.” She nods and takes a deep breath, but her voice is all groggy and her nose is so stuffed that she starts to cry again. I rub her back patting a little as I walk to Y/N, “Love, do you have any tissues I want to blow her nose?” She nods and reaches into the diaper bag pulling out a pack of tissues. I smile and grab the tissues and take one tissue out of the pack. I put the rest of the pack into my pocket then held the tissue up to Evie's nose, “Can you blow your nose baby?” She nods and blows her nose and immediately stops crying. I pinch the end of the tissues and pull it off her nose making sure to get all the snot. She smiles at me a little “Can you breathe a little better now?” She nods as she takes a deep breath through her nose. 

     I walk to a trash can and throw the tissue away. As I’m walking back to Jack and Y/N a nurse comes out and says, “Evelyn Hotchner?” Y/N and Jack stand up and we all walk over to me and Evie and we all walk to the nurse. The nurse leads us back to the examination room. I sit on the examination table with Evie on my lap as Y/N sits in the chair in the corner with Jack on her lap. The nurse takes Evie’s temperature then says, “The doctor will be in in a few minutes.” We nod and she leaves. Evie turns around in my lab and nuzzles her head into my chest. She has never liked the doctor and normally gets very shy and cries a lot. I rubbed her back gently to keep her a little calm. There was a knock on the door then it opened slowly and the doctor peaked her head in. When Jack saw the doctor he immediately stood up because he loves the doctor because he knows he’ll get a sticker after he sees her and because he likes to comfort Evie. He gets closer to me and He reached his hand up starting to rub Evie’s back just like I am. The doctor sits and looks at Jack saying, “Hey Jack how are you today?” He smiles and says, “I’m good, but Evie is sick.”

The doctor nods and smiles, “I know that’s why I’m here to check her out and see what's wrong. Would you like to help me?” Jack nods quickly and walks closer to her. The doctor hands him gloves so he can really pretend as she types something onto her computer. After a minute she rolls her chair closer to me and Evie with Jack in tow. She grabs a thermometer and says, “Jack want to help me with this. I think Evie will trust you more than she trusts me.” Jack nods quickly and I move Evie off of my lap so she’s sitting next to me on the table. The doctor helps Jack with the thermometer and Jack makes silly faces at Evie while he does it, making her smile a little. While they do that I look over at Y/N and see her rubbing her stomach and forehead with her eyes closed. I call her name quietly and she opens one of her eyes looking at me. I mouth to her, “Are you okay?” She nods smiling a little before she closes her eyes again. I assume she’s just tired so I turn back to Jack and Evie seeing Jack hold the flashlight while the doctor looks down Evie’s throat. The doctor looks at me and says, “It looks maybe like a cold turned into strep throat. I can prescribe some liquid antibiotics that will help to soothe her throat and she should feel better in a few days.” I smile at her, “Thank you doctor.” She smiles, “It’s no problem. Now who wants stickers.” Evie and Jack both start to cheer and I set Evie onto the ground so she can go pick a sticker with Jack. I get up and walk over to Y/N grabbing the diaper bag swinging it over my shoulder as I tap her gently. She opens her eyes and I hold my hand out to help her up. She smiles and takes a few steps forward before she wobbles a little so I quickly rush up behind her putting my hands on her hips to keep her steady, “You okay baby?” She nods slowly, “Yeah just…” She doesn’t finish her sentence as she falls back and goes completely limp in my arms. The doctor got up and pressed a button on the wall of the room when she noticed Y/N limp in my arms. I slowly pick Y/N up and lay her on the exam table looking over at Jack and Evie as they both start to cry looking at Y/N. I walk over to them and pull them both into me as the doctor rushes over to Y/N. A bunch of other doctors and nurses rush into the room and I quickly move Jack and Evie out of the room. Some nurses with a stretcher come to the room next and the doctor walks out of the room and looks at me, “Mr. Hotchner they are going to take her to take some tests to figure out why she passed out. If you wait in the living room someone will tell you when she can have visitors.” I nod and pick Jack and Evie up leaving the pediatrics ward heading to the waiting room for the emergency area. I decide to actually go to the pharmacy in the hospital to get Evie’s antibiotics then I call Penelope. She answers immediately and says, “Sir what can I do for you?” I set Evie and Jack in a waiting room chair as I step to the side of them and say, “I’m at the hospital Y/N is getting some tests done do you think you can come pick up the kids? Evie is sick so she will probably mostly sleep and I have some medicine she needs to take.” She gasps a little then says, “I’ll be there as soon as I can.” She hangs up and I sit down with the kids. Evie cuddles close to me and Jack looks at me and says, “Dada is mama gonna be okay?” I nod at him kissing his forehead, “Yeah buddy she’ll be okay.”

~Time skip to an hour later~

(Your p.o.v)

I wake up to a pounding in my head, a steady beeping noise and a heaviness on my arm. I open my eyes then close them quickly before I start to blink to let my eyes adjust to the harsh light. I look around and see Aaron with his head on my arm. His shoulders rising steadily let me know he was asleep. I move my other hand to rub my eyes before I slowly start to sit up and Aaron starts to stir a little. He looked at me and smiled as he quickly sat up, “Hey baby how are you feeling?” I smile at him as he helps me sit up, “I’m feeling good. What happened though? Why am I in a hospital bed?” He rubs my knuckles with his thumb, “Well after Evie’s appointment you passed out. The doctors took you to run some tests and they found out you were severely dehydrated, fatigued and that you're pregnant.” I bite my lip as I look at him, “I already knew about that last one. I found out the day before you left for your last case. I was going to tell you that night before you left, but we took the kids out and I just couldn’t find the time.” He smiles and kisses my forehead, “I understand you wanted the best time to tell me.” He puts his hand on my stomach, rubbing a little, “I can’t believe we have another kid in there.” I smile, “Me either. Also speaking of kids, where are our kids?” He looks at me, “There with Penelope I called her after you had passed out she’s gonna keep them for the night.” I nod at him moving over in the bed, “Well then you can be my cuddle buddy.” He smiles and carefully climbs into bed with me careful of the Heart monitor cords attached to my chest. I rest my head on his chest and he plays with my hair. I slowly start to fall asleep listening to his heartbeat and the steady rhythm of the hospital machines.

Sick Days part 1

(Your p.o.v)

     I was laying on the couch in my house. My son Jack and my daughter Evelyn were cuddled up next to me. My husband Aaron has been out of town on a case for almost 2 weeks. The second day he was gone Jack and Evelyn got sick at daycare. I ended up getting sick while caring for them obviously. Right now we were watching a Disney movie and the air conditioner was on full blast to try and keep us all cool. We had just had some chicken soup for lunch and the kids were shifting between sleep and not sleeping. I had gotten a text from Aaron that said he would be home later this evening and I was glad about that because as much as I love Jack and Evelyn it’s hard to take care of two sick kids alone especially with Evelyn only being three. I heard Evelyn start to cry and I rub her back while I turn to look at her, “Hey princess what’s wrong?” She looks up at me and says, “I yucky mama. My voice owie.” I kiss the top of her head knowing she means her throat hurts, “I know princess. Want brother to get your sippy cup?” She nods and I look at Jack, “Hey buddy can you grab sissy’s cup real quick.” He nods and gets up slowly walking over to the pile of blankets on the floor grabbing Evelyn’s sippy cup and his water bottle. Both of their bottles had a mixture of juice and medicine. Evelyn smiles at Jack a little when he hands her the sippy cup and she says, “Tank you Jack.” He smiles at her and rubs her cheek, “You’re welcome Evie.” I sat up slowly as I went into a coughing fit and I gently moved Evelyn from my lap to the couch. I got up and Jack said, “Where are you going mama?” I look at him and ruffle his hair a little, “The bathroom and then to refill my water bottle. Keep an eye on Evie for me.” He nods and I smile as I walk out of the room. 

     When I walked back out to the living room after refilling my water bottle I saw Evie and Jack cuddled up on the couch asleep. I smiled and slowly climbed onto the couch next to them laying down with them cuddling them close as I started to fall asleep. I heard my phone go off before I fell asleep completely and I reached over to the coffee table picking it up. I saw a text from Aaron saying that they were getting on the plane to come home. I texted back telling him I hoped the flight went well and I love him. I put my phone back down then turned back around and closed my eyes slowly falling asleep. 

(Aaron’s p.o.v)

     The team had just landed back in Virginia and I was the first to stand up and grab my bag. I heard Derek chuckle and say, “You excited for paperwork bossman.” I look at him, “Actually I’m going straight home. I’ve got two sick kids and a sick wife waiting for me. Everyone take the weekend off.” They all smiled at me and as soon as the plane doors opened I got out and walked over to one of the black SUV’s. I got in and threw my bag in the passenger seat then started my drive home. When I got home I walked inside, shutting the door as quietly behind me as I could just in case they were asleep. I heard the sound of the tv from the living room but no other noises. I walked to the living room after taking my shoes and coat off. I saw all three of my people passed out on the couch in a cuddle pile. I slowly walked over and knelt down by the couch brushing some hair out of Y/N’s face making her stir a little. She woke up and turned and looked at me smiling a little, “Hey baby how was the case?” I smile and kiss her forehead, “It wasn’t too bad, just long. I heard you had a harder time than I did though.” She chuckled a little, “It was rough, but not too bad Jack was being a good help with Evie.” I smile at her, “Yeah he’s a good helper. How much sleep have you gotten the past two weeks?” She just shrugged, “Eh not enough, but making sure our kiddos are safe and healthy is worth the sleepless nights.” I smile and kiss her cheek, “I’m gonna go change real quick then I will come back and watch over the kids while you go and get some rest in our comfy bed.” She nods at me and I stand up and make my way to our room changing into an old t-shirt and some sweatpants. I walk back into the living room and help Y/N up off the couch, “Go get some sleep my love.” She nods and kisses my cheek then walks towards our room. 

     I walk around cleaning up some of the trash and dirty dishes from the coffee table quickly bringing them to the kitchen. I ran back out to the living room when I heard Evelyn crying. I walked over to the couch and saw her crying even though she was still basically asleep. I gently picked her up and grabbed her sippy cup walking over to the rocking chair in the corner of the room. I sat down and held her against my chest as I rocked back and forth slowly. Her eyes slowly opened as she coughed a little. A smile spread on her face when she looked at me and she said, “Dada I miss you. I yucky.” I kissed her forehead and said, “I know princess mama told me how yucky you felt. I missed you too princess. I wish I could have come home sooner.” I pat her back gently as she goes into a coughing fit. She whines after the fit and I kiss her forehead, “Is your throat hurting princess?” She nods slowly and I hand her her sippy cup. She slowly drank from it, her eyes closing again. I start to quietly hum to her as she falls asleep, her little snores filling the air due to how congested she is. 

     I look over at Jack on the couch and see him rubbing his eyes as he sits up. He looks over at me and smiles widely, “Hi dada.”  I smiled, “Hey buddy how are you feeling?” He stood up and walked over to me, “I’m feeling a little better. Can you help me get some more juice?” I nod and slowly stand up keeping my hand on Evie’s back as I walk to the kitchen with Jack in tow. He hands me his water bottle and I put some juice in it and a little bit of medicine, shaking it up for him. He smiles when I hand it back to him, “Thanks dada I’m gonna go try and sleep in my bed.” I nod and lean down kissing the top of his head, “Okay buddy just call if you need anything.” He nods and walks off to his room. I walk back to the living room sitting back in the rocking chair. I rocked back and forth to keep Evie asleep. 

(Your p.o.v)

     I slept for a few hours and woke up due to my parched throat. I grabbed my water bottle from the bedside table and walked out to the kitchen. I smiled to myself as I passed the living room and saw Aaron asleep in the rocking chair with Evie on his chest. I go and fill up my water bottle then walk out to the living room gently shaking him awake. He looks at me as he rubs a hand over his face, “Huh what’s up my love?” I smile at him, “Let’s get you to bed.” He looks down at Evie, “But what about her I don’t want to leave her alone?” I chuckle a little, “I moved her crib into our room the day she got sick so if she needs anything we will both be close by.” He nods and slowly stands up. I grab Evie’s sippy cup and we walk to our room. When we get there Aaron gently places Evie in her crib kissing her forehead. I smile and kiss her forehead then me and him get into bed. He pulls me close to him and I rest my head on his chest. He kisses the top of my head, “I wish I could have gotten home sooner.” I smiled at him, “I know, but I had it handled here and the people you helped needed you more.” He nods and I yawn a little, closing my eyes as I say, “I love you Aaron.” I smile as he says, “I love you too my love.” I fall asleep with a smile on my face in the arms of the man I love. 

     I woke up about two hours later to the sounds of cry’s filling the room. I slowly get up and walk over to Evie’s crib seeing her stand up. I picked her up immediately feeling her full diaper. I rub her back gently as I carry her over to the changing table, changing her diaper quickly. When I pick her up off the table she looks at me and says, “Mama milk?” I smile at her, “You want some princess?” She nods, “Yes pwease.” I smile and walk over to the crib grabbing her sippy cup before I walk out to the kitchen. I hold her on my hip as I rinse out the juice from her sippy cup. I put the cup on the counter then open the fridge, grabbing the milk. As I pour it I say, “So are you feeling any better princess?” Evie has had it the worst out of all three of us and I think it because she’s so young. She rests her head on my shoulder holding her fingers up as they are almost touching, “Dis much.” I look at her fingers as I put the milk back. “Only that much.” She nods and I make a mental note to make a doctor's appointment for tomorrow. I screw the lid onto her cup and hand it to her, “Okay back to bed.” She shakes her head, “No mama not eepy.” I nod, “Okay what do you want to do?” She looks at me, “Watch Doc.” I nod at her smiling as Doc means Doc McStuffins and that’s her favorite cartoon. I kiss her forehead, “Okay mama’s just gonna go grab her phone and water bottle so we have to be quiet so we don’t wake dada.”

     She nods as I walk to the bedroom grabbing my phone and water bottle from the bedside table as I look at the time and see it’s 4am. I walk out to the living room again and put Doc on the tv turning it down a little so it’s not too loud. I lay back on the bed couch situating Evie so she’s laying on my chest while she watches and sucks her sippy. As she watches I pull up the app for our doctors on my phone scheduling an appointment for Evie at noon tomorrow. I heard Jack’s door open in the hallway and his little footsteps walking towards the living room. I smiled at him when he walked in until I saw he looked like he was about to cry, “Hey buddy what’s wrong?” He pouted at me as tears fell down his face, “I had an accident mama.” I slowly sat up putting Evie carefully back down on the couch making sure she was in a safe position before I walked over to Jack wiping his tears, “Oh that’s okay buddy that happens sometimes when you're sick. Let’s get you cleaned up then you can sit with Evie while I change your bed.” He nods and I lead him to the bathroom. I start a bath helping him take off his wet clothes, putting them in the hamper. I hear footsteps coming down the hall and look up seeing Aaron stopped in the doorway, “Hey baby.” He smiles and walks over, “What’s going on here?” I look at him then Jack, “Jack had a little accident I’m helping him get cleaned up. Can you change his sheets?” He nods, “Yeah of course. Where’s Evie though?” Jack smiles and says, “She’s on the couch watching Doc. Mama said I can watch too after I get clean.” Aaron smiled at him and nodded as he walked out of the room and I helped Jack into the bathtub, “You can wash your body yourself right buddy?” He nods, “Yep mama.” I smile and kiss the top of his head, “Okay I’ll go get you some new clothes. Do you want long or short pajamas?” He thinks for a second, “Short mama.” I nod and walk to his room going to his dresser and pulling out some shorts and a t-shirt and some undies before I walk back to the bathroom. When I get there Aaron is helping him dry off with a towel. I smile and hand Aaron the clothes so he can help him dress while I go check on Evie who is now sat up on the couch as she watches the show instead of laying down. I go and get a cup with a lid and put some milk in it for Jack mixing in a little bit of sugar because he doesn’t like the taste of regular milk by itself but he loves milk.

I went to ask a question when Y/N quickly turned around shining her flashlight behind her. I looked at her, “What?” She turned back to me, “Um I just thought I heard a whisper.” Sam and I nodded and Y/N shined her flashlight back again as I asked, “Was that you who just whispered so Y/N could hear?” Y/N looked back at me as we waited for any answers. Would you be willing to do the Estes down here before we move on to the next room?” Y/N nods and Sam goes to get everything needed for the Estes. I turn the camera off for a minute as I look around the room for a place to set up the camera where we would all be able to be seen while we did the Estes. Y/N sat down on the ground in front of the rempod getting ready to do the Estes.

I put the camera down on the floor a little bit away making sure it had a good angle before I turned it on and walked back over to Sam and Y/N. Y/N had the blindfold resting on her head as the headphones rested around her neck. Sam looked at her and said, “You ready?” Y/N nodded and put the blindfold and headphones on. Sam did a test to make sure she couldn’t hear then I said, “Is there anyone here who want to talk to us?” Immediately Y/N said, “Hello.” We freaked out a little and Sam went to saying something, but as he opens his mouth Y/N said, “I see you.” Me and Sam looked around the darkness as Y/N said, “Cold.” I looked around and said, “Are you cold?” We wait for a few seconds then Y/N says, “Run away.” Me and Sam looked at each other quickly then Sam said, “Are you telling us to run?” All the sudden there was a loud boom and what sounded like footsteps as Y/N said, “He’s here.”

As I was listening to the static from the spirit box through the headphones it was giving me a little bit of a headache, but that wasn’t going to stop me. When he took the picture I let Sam film the scratches for a little before I put my shirt down and looked at the picture Colby took. I moved into Colby more and said, “I think we should get out of this basement or at least I should.” Sam and Colby nodded and Sam started to pack up all of the stuff while I went and picked my camera up while Colby walked towards the door of the basement. I grabbed my camera and when I turned back around Sam had already made his way to the door of the basement. I held my camera with one hand filming the area around me as I walked to the door. Right as I got to the door it slammed in my face making me jump back. I grabbed my flashlight from my pocket shining it around the basement because with the door being shut the basement was pitch black.

I could hear Colby and Sam freaking out on the other side of the door trying to open it, but I was trying to stay calm. I backed up against the wall next to the door and took a few deep breath’s to stay calm. I continued to move my flashlight around. Suddenly I felt a tug at my shirt and I flinched away trying to stay calm just pushing it off like it was just a draft. I jumped and screamed when I heard a voice whisper in my ear saying, “You can’t escape.” My hands started shaking and I slide down the wall putting the camera on the ground next to me as I continue to shine the flashlight around quickly. I dropped the flashlight and pulled my knees up to my chest resting my head on them as I covered my ears. I hoped the boys would get the door open soon. My body started to shake and my breathing got heavy. I took a few deep breaths as I tried to calm myself feeling a sense of panic rising in my chest. I felt hands on my arms and start to move away until I heard Colby quietly whisper, “Hey it’s okay it’s just me come on Sam got your stuff.” I nod and slowly stand up wrapping my arms around Colby as he lead me out of the room. I was still shaking a little and Colby was running his hands through my hair. We walked up some steps and then Colby said, “There’s a couch here want to sit down?” I nod my head and he sits down then pulls me down next to him. I moved into his lap and rested my head on his shoulder. After a while my breathing evens out and I have mostly calmed down.

When I’m calm I look up and Colby and he says, “Are you okay?” I nod slowly, “Yeah that was scary, but I’m mostly feeling okay now. I was panicking when it happened but I’m all good now.” He nods and kisses my forehead, “Do you want to continue with the investigation or take a break?” I think for a second then say, “I’m okay to keep investigating.” He nods and pecks my lips then we both stand up and I grab my camera and equipment from Sam and we start to walk to the next place we are going to investigate. The rest of the night goes pretty easy and it seems like whatever wants to talk to me stayed in the basement when we left.
