Kafka and Blade carpooling to the express every once in a while so they can have weird, homoerotic, and vaguely murderous tension with their exes is actually the funniest concept I love morally ambiguous gay people

The Harry Potter fandom is fascinating. You have:
Fans of Harry Potter's era. Pretty straightforward.
Fans of both the Harry Potter era and the Marauders era. Believe in HP canon for both.
Fans of only the Marauders era who mostly subscribe to canon but wouldn't operate in the era of the books.
Fans of the Marauders era who have not read the HP books and do not care about the HP canon.
It would be so fascinating to take a seminar on this phenomenon. Especially item 4.
And then I'd want to write 20 page papers on the fandom perception of wolfstar, both whether or not it's canon and the interpretation fans have of the dynamic.
And then a 50 page paper on the incredibly strange treatment that Barty Crouch Jr. gets in this fandom, considering that he was a sociopath in canon who was considered Voldemort's most loyal supporter and he has been babygirl-ified.
And then a 100 page paper on how 20 years after the books came out, jegulus went from zero to one of AO3's top ships in a matter of about three years. It came from nothing, with no basis whatsoever in canon, and took the fandom by storm.
Like this is all incredibly interesting to me. I would like to attend this seminar. Hell, I would like to run this seminar. Marauders Fandom University.

The funniest and most underutilized thing in BSD is the language barrier and I will die on this hill.
Imagine… You are F. Scott Fitzgerald and you didn’t bother to learn Japanese before coming to Japan to search for the book (why would you care to) and all the sudden these two seemingly teenagers manifest out of buttfuck nowhere and are rapidly arguing in Japanese to each other.
Tumblr media
And you realize that you have to communicate your intentions to these two people who speak a language you didn’t bother to learn.
IMAGINE A VERY INTENSE GAME OF CHARADES ACROSS THE MOBY DICK AS SSKK AND FITZGERALD TRY TO COMMINUCATE WITH A MASSIVE LANGUAGE BARRIER.
Fitzgerald whips out Google Translate and Akutagawa and Atsushi stare at each other and try to figure out what the fuck he’s trying to say to them. Meanwhile, all he’s trying to say it “I will kick your asses.”
EVEN BETTER, Akutagawa knows some English because of the Mafia and has to play reluctant translator between Atsushi (who probably wasn’t taught anything at the orphanage) and Fitzgerald.
Atsushi: Tell him that I’m gonna kick his ass
Akutagawa: I don’t know how to say ‘ass’ in English.
OR
Fitzgerald: YOU TWO ARE DEAD!!
Atsushi: What’s he saying?
Akutagawa: Something about death??
I’m not a language expert so someone can come in here at any time and gimme stuff, but this concept is endlessly funny to me and is the most underutilized part of this fandom.

I think Kafka and Silver Wolf don't believe they can love.
And I think Firefly and Blade don't believe they can be loved.
Something that really fucking gets me about the Stellaron Hunters is the weird little ways they all challenge these assumptions about each other. Kafka and Silver Wolf are put into positions where they have to care for and support the others. Where they're unable to be selfish and their happiness is allowed to come from others. Where abandonment might not be a foregone conclusion.
Blade and Sam are able to be treasured for their abilities. For all the ways that they are - broken or no. For who they are and not what they're not. Able to be included and wanted, even though they simply cannot behave like "normal" people.
I have a lot of feelings about it.

i dunno if this is anything but i was looking through voicelines and it looks like blade, kafka, and silver wolf are the only ones that dont introduce themselves by name in the “first meeting” voiceline. interesting

Im gonna sound insane there for a moment bear with me here, but like. How fucking sad that is that Blade is in so much pain constantly that he can’t use his hands. We know that he was an inventor, which to me implies that he always tinkered with things. He was probably the person who would bring tea for the people he loves, or a very specific invention that can help them
I know he has to supress his memories not to go insane so its the least of his worries but its so sad that he cant take care of people like he did before. He promised SW to play with her but cant cause of his hands. Like imagine he instinctually tries to fix a watch but his fingers are so numb he can barely move them. God this depressed boomer

SV Malevolent AU where, due to a system error (Shen Jiu not actually dying from the qi deviation? Mu Qingfang being present and resuscitating him in time maybe?) Shen Yuan ends up only half-possessing SJ by gaining control of his eyes.
SJ, of course, fully believes that he's been possessed by a demon and wants to evict the creature in question as soon as possible. However, he's still a paranoid bastard before anything else, so his first attempt is to just quietly do it himself after chasing Yue Qingyuan and anyone else away from his house. He doesn't want either a reputation for being weak and susceptible to possession, or one for having ties to demonic influence. There's enough grime on his reputation and the ONE thing he has confidently never been at risk of adding to it was consorting with demons, and he'd like to keep it that way.
Except, of course, Shen Yuan's not a demonic spirit, so none of the efforts to "evict" him actually work. Much to Shen Yuan's relief. A blind cultivator is still plenty formidable, but after a few days of deadlock over the issue, and with Shen Yuan fully in control of Shen Jiu's eyesight but otherwise unable to do much, Shen Yuan negotiates with the system (which SJ cannot perceive at all) to be able to tell Shen Jiu some things. Enough to get him to do something other than crack and run out of his house to let the other peak lords try their hands at ousting SY.
He tells Shen Jiu that he's not a demon (not for the first time, not that SJ believed him) but that he IS a spirit from another realm, and that he got turned around somehow on his way to try and warn this world about an impending catastrophe. SJ is naturally still suspicious, but after SY provides him with enough tidbits of information to verify that he's not completely lying, he decides to at least entertain the idea that SY isn't a demon and that a more nuanced approach is called for (also this route is appealing for him because it means he can still avoid telling anyone else that there's anything wrong with him).
Thus, uneasily, the two Shens reach a truce. Shen Yuan offers to help SJ navigate the world by describing things to him (within the privacy of their now-shared mind, of course), and SJ just sort of gives up on destroying him. For now.
Shen Yuan also, of course, tries to stop SJ from abusing Luo Binghe. Both because he would do that regardless, but also because he's now co-piloting SJ's body, which means he has a vested interest in making sure it retains all of its limbs. This has varying degrees of success.
But mainly I think this would be hilarious because Shen Jiu would essentially be held hostage to Shen Yuan's descriptions of things. Flowery, detailed and fascinated descriptions of monsters (at least these are useful because SY also has encyclopedic knowledge of their weak points). Largely vibes-based descriptions of scenery and women. Glowing assessments of Luo Binghe. Constantly bringing up Liu Qingge's beauty. Shen Jiu doesn't need his own shidi described! He knows what the asshole looks like! Go possess his body instead if you like it so much! (SJ was maybe kind of hoping that would happen when the spirit did something during the debacle in Lingxi Caves -- but no, SY just saved Liu Qingge's life, like some kind of not-evil creature. Infuriating!)

Zarc became his opposite
You know the latest episode puts the final pieces on Zarc and honestly it’s depressing. Zarc like Yuya wanted everyone happy. But not just humanity, he wanted the monsters happy too. But his accident and humanities’ blood lust meant that Zarc became more and more violent to make humanity happy but making the monsters, the Dimension Dragons, especially, angry that they were nothing but toys to humanities’ sick entertainment.
Zarc’s attempt to destroy the world was in hindsight a happy middle ground. Humans wanted the ultimate duelist, a god of unbeatable strength while his dragons wanted revenge. By destroying the world, he could finally make both of them happy again …. in his mind at least. It’s possible under it all though that Zarc was just sick of all this too. He was sick of being a toy that caused pain to the monsters and at least partially hated humanity for their actions as well but deep down he still wanted to make them happy and couldn’t throw that desire away. That lead to Supreme King Dragon Zarc, a mix of hatred and revenge but still holding his desire to make people happy. Zarc became someone that deals sadness and despair instead of happiness. That’s why Zarc’s spirit cried, he finally remembered his true dream and how fall he had fallen.

Thinking about episode 71 or Yuya’s duel against DC 227 where Odd-Eyes tipped 227′s D-Wheel, we all thought it was responding Yuya’s rage but what if Odd-Eyes was just angry itself. I mean the City’s people were just like the Original Dimensions’ people. What if their bloodlust reminded Odd-Eyes of it’s home and it just got pissed. Adding that Yuya was also mad which probably just pissed off Odd-Eyes more.

Me watching it first time: Oh this looks cool.
Me now that I know everything: SON OF A BITCH!
But seriously this opening foreshadowed something BIGGG!!! Or more like it’s a literal wealth of foreshadowing knowledge. Like god damn it writers.
