Hello everyone, although I wouldn't have expected to post stuff like this, this is a time of dire need.
At around 4 AM GMT+3, an earthquake hit the southern provinces of Türkiye: Kahramanmaraş and Hatay with the power of 7.8
The largest earthquake ever recorded in the region since 1939.
People were't able to escape as they were sleeping, there is over 5k injured right now and the estimated death count surpasses 16k.
The entire army and the special forces have been directed to the area to aid the rescue effort with many nations directing aid to Türkiye.
There is literal people, sharing their and their family's locations on Twitter, under the tons of rubble for the authorities to find them. over 140 THOUSAND building are reduced to dust and foreign report that the damage costs are estimated around 3 billion USD.
As a Turkish citizen myself, although thankfully not affected by it due to living far more west, I am devastated and exhausted by this. That my nation who is already struggling from many angles, stuck by such a natural disaster that affects so many people. It's just so exasperating.
For the ones who are eligible, I really really urge that you donate to the Turkish Red Cresent and AFAD (The Turkish Disaster and Emergency Management Office) to help the thousands and thousands of people struggling for their lives. I will be personally donating also and they accept donations in USD and Euros. For the ones not available to donate, plase share this post around more communities so we can spread the awareness of the situation to more people. I am linking the necessary websites below. (THE WEBISTES HAVE AN ENGLISH OPTION IN THE TOP RIGHT)
Stay safe everyone

Thank you.
Yuu the scientific phenomenon- part 2
Second part to the previous one.
Warnings: Blood, unaware poison consumption, Doctors flipping thier minds, swearing, once again not real medical practice methods. I apologize for any mistakes.
PART 1
-
Trey runs his hand through his hair. 'What is going on in there?' He thought. They have been in the waiting room for over three hours now. He had seen Yuu's doctor leave only to come back with more doctors. Then seen one of said doctors leave only to come back with more doctors. Rinse and repeat. What could possibly be taking so long for just a broken arm? Are they going to be staying overnight? Will the school have to pay for extra expenses? Is Yuu going to live? These thoughts ran through his head non-stop. Every minute was just a little more anxiety added to the situation. Which made it sting even more when the realization hit him like a goddamn TRUCK.
......................Yuu's from another world...................
Silver startled awake when Trey stood up abruptly and groaned into his hands. How could they gloss over such an important detail? Why did they only realize this NOW OF ALL TIMES? He has to go clear everything up with the doctors but he can't just walk into the medical ward without supervision.
"What's wrong Trey?" Asked a startled Silver.
"How could I have been so foolish?!" Trey whisper yelled to himself.
"Trey?"
"Yuu's from another world Silver."
"So wha-?...Oh! ...oh"
"This is bad"
"We have to go in there and explain."
"I know! *sigh* But we cannot just barge in there, that is a restricted area. We have to wait for Dr. Swarvoski to return. Then we can talk to him."
Silver looked like he wanted to disagree but said nothing to the vice housewarden. Soon enough he was fast asleep again. Something that Trey didn't think he would be able to do anytime soon.
-
The doctors had finally let you have a break from testing. You lurched your way to the cafeteria. Your stomach hurt from hunger. Dr Swarvoski had let you pick out any food there free of charge. He even seemed anxious to get some food in your system. You certainly did not decline the offer. Free food is not easy to come by recently for you.
On your way to the cafeteria you ran into Trey, with Silver right behind him. They both looked worried and proceeded to ask you multiple questions.
"What were they doing with you in there?"
"They were just running extra tests on me Trey. But in hindsight most of the tests didn't have anything to do with my broken arm."
"Tests like what?" Asked Silver
"Well they drew blood syringes from me, then tested my reflexes..."
-
Whilst you were talking with your friends. Dr Swarvoski and his fellow doctors were observing you from across the cafeteria during thier lunchbreak. They were taking notes whilst eating thier food and there was a lot to be studied about you. Of course to make it not look suspicious and creepy they also remembered to turn to each other and converse about other topics. Even then you were still the elephant in the room. They did not notice one of the child patients in the cafeteria walk in after going outside and put something down on the counter.
-
Standing in front of the wide arrays of food was a sight to behold. There were so many choices. It made your mouth water. You got a plate and started choosing. You grabbed a piece of toast, some grilled chicken fillet, apple juice... you were about to pick something else when something caught your eye. There was a single big granadilla on the counter next to one of the empty trays. You thought that the granadilla was from said tray and was simply the last one, so you took it. You got your cutlery and made your way back to your friends.
-
The observation was proceeding normally. Nothing was amiss yet. Dr. Swarvoski was thankful for the fact that you were still otherwise fine. But he was still very much intrigued by you. There was nothing in Twisted Wonderland quite like you. You could possibly be a scientific break-through. And no doctor wouldn't be interested in that.
"What do you think we should do after this?" Asked Dr. Asake.
"If we're going to run more tests we first have to consult the two other students before doing so. In hindsight, we really should have told them beforehand. They were probably worried sick. I would be too if my friend were-"
He couldn't finish his sentence. Because as he looked towards your group he saw you cut a granadilla in half, fucking spread it over your toast, THEN PROCEED TO EAT IT!!
Chairs and plates flew as he and the other doctors who saw it ran over towards your group at breakneck speed. The commotion made Trey and Silver look up from thier food to see thier friend just casually munching on a poisonous plant. To say they were shocked would be an understatement. They were downright FLABBERGASTED! They immediately knew they had to do something.
-
You were confused as to why you were suddenly being yelled at by your friends. You wanted to say something so you swallowed what you were eating before asking them what was wrong. This only made them panic even more as they were now pulling you out of your chair and pushing you towards Dr. Swarvoski who was now right in front of you. You couldn't get a word in. They were all talking over you. You were now scared. What did you do wrong? You were just eating some food when they started panicking all of a sudden. They kept on talking about how you had "swallowed it" and now you're "going to die". You were pushed away from your friends towards another room. With Trey and Silver waiting outside. The door closed and you looked around to see a doctor with a stomach pump in hand.
'Oh shit'
-
Silver, for once didn't feel drowsy. Oh no. He was terrified. His friend had just eaten something deadly right in front of him and he didn't even notice. How did he not notice it on thier plate when they came over? Part of him felt like he had failed as a guard. Not to mention that if Yuu dies from this, he will have to face Malleus's wrath. And that is a bridge he'll have to cross when he comes to it because right now they are still waiting for the doctors to finish pumping Yuu's stomach.
"How could this happen?! You are Malleus's retainer! I thought you were supposed to be extremely observant whenever you're not sleeping!" Trey reprimanded him.
"You didn't see it either so you are just as guilty as me."
"Alright. I see your point, but still."
"What am I going to tell Malleus and Lilia?"
"Let's just see what happens and we can deal with that hurdle when we come to it."
"Okay."
-
*two hours later*
You feel like you've been hit by a bus. Waking up in a hospital bed is not the kind of thing you are exited about. The memories of what happened before being put under come back in waves. Soon enough you were rubbing the sleep out of your eyes and this caused Trey, who was sitting in the chair next to you, to wake up Silver to tell them that you were awake. They immediately asked if you were alright. To which you replied with yes.
"What were you thinking?"
"What are you talking about?-"
"You ate a granadilla. Yuu why would you do that?"
"Because I was hungry."
"There was plenty of food there for you to eat."
"Granadilla is a food."
"Since when?!"
"Since forever. We eat them all the time where I'm from. They taste delicious."
"WHAT??"
"So your saying that in your world you guys eat these thing all the time?" Asked Silver, dumbfounded.
"Well, depending on where you live, not all the time, but we do farm them and eat them, we even put them in other foods."
"So you could've eaten that and lived?"
"I could've eaten that and walked off with beneficial minerals in my system."
Trey and Silver had to have a moment of silence just to process this information.
"Your world sounds terrifying Prefect."
"It's actually not that bad but I see where you're coming from."
-

Crowley over there sweating bullet's.
I love it,you did such a good job.
Yuu the scientific phenomenon
Summary: Yuu's literally from another world so thier biology is different to Twisted Wonderland's. There's a whole discussion about this on the #Biology au. So this fic is about Yuu's first trip to the hospital in Twisted Wonderland, and how the doctors react to our different biology.
Warnings: Blood tests, needles, mild swearing, I don't know how doctors do their procedures so this is not a reliable source of medical field information.
Enjoy!
-
You had broken your arm. You had broken your arm from one of Floyd's bone crushing squeezes. He had a surprised look on his face whilst you were screaming in agony because you are the only Human who has actually broken thier bones with only a little force from him. Just another reminder of how you are not from this world and that not even your body is able to take on certain tasks. The only silver lining to this is that there was a student livestreaming in the lounge at the time that acidentally caught the whole thing on camera, which made Crowley HAVE to give you proper medical attention lest he risk the school's reputation. So here you are. Your first trip to the hospital in Twisted Wonderland. Maybe you could also ask the doctor for treatment for all your other injuries from overblots. Although before you do that you need to come up with good excuses as to why you have each of them.
You arrive at the hospital and it already looks ten times better than the small nurses office at NRC. There were lots of staff helping the patients, Doctors discussing ailments, nurses doing thier shifts. This place looked professional. That reassured you were in good hands. You and two other students were sitting in the waiting room when your doctor came out to greet you.
"Good Afternoon you three. I'm Dr. Swarvoski. And your names are?"
"Silver"
"Trey Clover"
"Yuu"
"Now I've been informed that one of you broke thier arm. Is that correct?"
"Yes sir" Trey helped you stand up without moving your arm too much, "It's Yuu here, they had a bit of an overzealous friend willing to show thier love."
"Oh. I understand. Well right this way Yuu."
The doctor leads the way into the examination room. There are tools in there that you have never seen before. Some you're sure are not used in your world. That kind of makes you nervous all over again. How would you tell this man that you're literally from another world? Before you can get too lost in though however, Dr. Swarvoski calls you over to lie on the examination table. You comply to his instruction and lie facing up. Floyd and Jade had lended you thier dorm scarves to use as a makeshift sling for your arm. They did so after Azul got mad at them for technically injuring a customer. Dr. Swarvoski then let you know that he was going to remove the sling to look at your arm. He did so with such care. It was evident that he had done this many times before. Laying your arm by your side he got out the needles needed to extract blood. He told you to relax your arm and look away for this part. Once again you did what he said. Not wanting to look at this part. After the extraction he put cotton on the tiny hole in your arm from the needle and told you to hold it there for 5 minutes. After that he put a band-aid on to hold the cotton over the hole. He left to go look at the blood and see the results. You watched him walk out the room. Then turned to look at the ceiling. Your head was numb from all the pain you experienced. Man, that hurt like Hell. You just wanted to get better.
-
Dr. Swarvoski was checking your blood under a Twisted Wonderland's equivalent of a microscope. And immediately noticed something off. Your blood was different. It did not carry as much oxygen as a regular person. The red blood cells were smaller too. Did you have a birth defect or something? He will have to search your medical history for answers. He goes to his computer to look for your file only to find nothing. He searches through all the records and finds absolutely no history of you anywhere. Not even a birth certificate. Now he's worried. And confused. How is there nothing about this kid on any of thier databases. Not even the internet had answers aside from thier Magicam page. It's as though this kid just appeared out of nowhere.
Just more questions he'll have to ask Yuu. And probably report this to the authorities if he must. But right now he must give this child proper medical attention. On to the bone scan.
-
You had been lying on that table for almost 30 minutes now and the doctor was still in the other room. 'What was taking him so long?' You thought to yourself. 'Surely he doesn't need this much time to do a blood scan.' You don't see the point in doing anything else other than stare at the ceiling. As you start to dose off, Dr. Swarvoski comes back in with some news. He looked nervous. That was not a good sign you thought.
"Okay so Yuu... I went over your blood results and the blood... doesn't look the way it should."
Your heart rate picked up at that.
"What do you mean it doesn't look the way it should?" You asked.
"I'm not sure what it is. Even with my experience. So that is why I am going to leave you for a bit while I consult our hospital's Hematologist on this matter. Whilst I am away I will leave you with another doctor to do your bone scan. Just follow them and do what they say."
Another doctor had walked in during his explanation. The other doctor he was talking about you suspect. You nod your head, Dr. Swarvoski walked off and whispered something into the other doctor's ear before taking his leave. The other doctor walked over to you and introduced himself.
"Hello there. I am Dr. Asake and I will be doing your bone scan today. Dr. Swarvoski has entrusted me with your care in the meantime, as you probably have been told."
This man had the same chill energy as Dr. Swarvoski and you feel cencerity coming from those forest green eyes. It helped calm you down a little bit after what Dr. Swarvoski had told you about your blood. He opened a cupboard in the room and pulled out what looked like a cast. Then placed it around your broken arm. He had to lift it a little to get it under there so you winced a bit but he managed to get it on. You were then moved onto a bed with wheels and taken to the bone examination room. You noticed how they were called 'Bone Scans' and not 'X-rays'. That made you think: 'Does this world even have X-rays? They have something akin to it but I guess without the discovery of radiation, X-rays were never invented.
You are moved to underneath a machine, then Dr. Asake moves to a room next door with a glass window viewing into the room you're in. You're told to relax once again and the machine shines a big beam of light up and down your body. The results appear on the screen shortly after. The doctor looks at the results. Then his eyes widen. You see him look at you. Then back to the screen. Then back at you. Then back at the screen. This goes on for some time. He eventually pulls down a curtain to cover the window. Completely blocking him from your sight. 'Great. That's totally not worrying at all.' You think sarcastically. Now even more scared than before.
-
The doctor had to process what he was looking at right now. Your skeleton was there on the screen but the bones did not look the way they should. They were thinner than regular bones. No doubt weaker too. No wonder you had broken your arm. Yet you still looked like a healthy teenager though. He noticed that you had suffered other injuries as well. There was evidence of previously broken and dislocated limbs that hadn't healed properly. He was going to have to look into this soon. However what perplexed him the most is the strange formation of sorts on your intestines. It looked like a skin tag, only on an organ. They will have to have that removed. That couldn't possibly be good for you. In the meantime he must focus on your current injury. That broken arm needs to be fixed.
He goes back into the room you are in gives you some medicine, then your arm starts feel numb. That must have been a painkiller because you don't feel sore when he moves your broken bones back into place in your arm. That must have been a magic painkiller. The cast is now adjusted and the doctor reinforces it with medical tape. He takes out a sling, pulls it over your head and puts your cast in the sleeve. After fastening the strap he lets go. You breathe a sigh of relief after the treatment. You feel better already. The doctor tells you to wait there again and to not leave the room. After he leaves, you sit there and contemplate getting up before you eventually do so. Looking around the room you spy all the various medical tools used by the doctors. You start to notice that half of these are not for human medical treatment, but for beastmen, mer and fae too. One thing that you were sure was for humans though was the skeleton model in the corner. It was life sized, so it stood slightly taller than you. But on a closer inspection you realized that the bones were thicker than a regular humans bones. Or at least, had thicker bones than a human from your world. There were other differences as well. Such as there was no appendix amongst the plastic organs inside it. 'This is probably for something else', You thought, 'It is very likely that this is meant to show a type of disease or something. After all. Why would humans not have an appendix?'
-
"Dr. Swarvoski!" Dr. Asake quickly caught the other doctor's attention. "There is something wrong with Yuu's bones and organs." This made the other doctor even more worried. First the blood, now this? There is definitely something going on with this kid, but what? "What is the problem with thier bones?" He asked.
"They are far smaller and more brittle than a regular person's. Yet they look healthy on the outside aside from some malnourishment."
"I ran some tests on the blood with the assistance of the Hematologist and there is no trace of any disease or viruses in the system. This is indeed perplexing."
"You were right when you said this was a special patient. I have never seen anything like this before. And how is this kid even still alive?! These bones are so weak that if a regular student were to so much as just punch them they would be dead."
"This is indeed troubling." He looked down and frowned. "I didn't manage to find any information about this child anywhere either. It's as if they don't exist."
"Wait. WHAT?!"
"This child is nowhere on the census. The only evidence of them existing is their Magicam account. And that's no substitute for an official document."
"This has just escalated so quickly! What can we do?!"
"Well for now let's just show them the results. They deserve to know."
"Alright".
-
The two doctors were showing you the pictures. You took a look at them only to find that what you were looking at were pictures of a normal human's anatomy. Yet they still told you that it was not normal. They then showed you pictures of what a "Normal human's" anatomy looked like. What baffled you about these pictures is that everything was much bigger. Denser bones, wider blood cells. Is this what a normal person's body is supposed to be like in Twisted Wonderland? As scary as it was, it did explain a lot. Even Epel and Riddle- people who are considered BELOW average strength wise- have accidentally caused you bodily harm during your school year. You filled up with a feeling of dread after this revelation. Dr Swarovski could see it immediately so he comforted you. You smiled and nodded but it still wasn't enough to make you feel better.
-
A/N: This turned out way longer than expected so I've decided to split this fic into two parts. Part two will come soon. I apologize for any mistakes.

hey, i know people typically dislike seeing posts like these but PLEASE pay attention to what’s happening in brazil right now. the federal police are conducting various unauthorized operations with the sole intention of blocking the roads and keeping people from voting, specially in places where people mostly vote for the opposing candidate to the current president. you can probably guess that this is a pretty illegal attempt to keep the current president in power.
i am asking you to talk about this, to spread the word, to not let this happen in silence because we cannot let our country receive such shameless attacks to our democracy like this.
here is a link to twitter also where i've shared one of the many videos circulating showing this happening:

Guardian Wolf
Summary: Jack is bedridden so Grim and Yuu visit him with a present.
Notes: Reader reffered to as Yuu and Yuu uses they/them pronouns in this.
Happy Belated Birthday Jack!!
Tumblr media
Jack, Yuu thinks, is an awkward kid. Like a baby bull trying to walk on hooves meant for the great pastures and hills beyond but finding itself in a China shop, where every mistaken move could end with porcelain scattering across the floor and an uproar that leads to more shards scattering.
Gentle like an elephant yet still fearsome in his own right. He walks with an assuredness that strikes envy into Yuu's heart, the type of envy born out of wanting to improve themselves, wanting to be better than the mopey mess they've been reduced to.
And yet, when Yuu squints all the more closer, they see someone who is awkward. Not in the sense that he fumbles over his words or his stride suddenly breaks in the face of those he deems better than him but rather... in the sense that Jack guards himself more than Yuu ever realized.
That Jack, despite being one of the tallest teenagers they've seen, at the end of the day he's still a teenager—susceptible to the highs and lows of a transitional period that feels like a nightmare to some and a paradise to others. Where people flourish or remain stunted.
Yuu guessed it was no wonder why Jack liked raising cacti so much—for they weathered and conquered in one the toughest biomes, for they remained steadfast even when the sweltering heat seemed nigh impossible to survive through.
For they displayed tenacity that Savanaclaw valued as a trait amongst all members.
But, you can't be tenacious all the time.
"It's just the common cold," Jack grumbles from under the covers as Yuu steps into his Dorm room, noting the various get well cards and flowers and presents. A smile curls onto Yuu's lips as they ease over, Grim prancing towards a particularly nice bouquet.
"See, Henchman, worried for nothing!" The cat monster then procures a can of tuna, making room on the already overcrowded desk that makes Yuu cringe and reach over. Fortunately for the two of them, the tuna fits snug against the gifts.
Though Yuu still waits at attention. They squint at Grim, unamused. "Weren't you the one begging for me to hurry up?"
"Of course, I don't want anyone showing me up."
"You... two were worried about me?" It's quiet, a question meant only for Jack's ears and Jack's ears alone but Yuu picks up on the contemplative look on his face, the frown of confusion and furrowed brow.
"Duh," Yuu settles at the foot of Jack's bed, fiddling with the handmade gift. It was a simple—doubly so compared to all the gifts that lined the side of his room— it'd been a wolf teddy, small and beady eyed, clearly handmade judging by the unsteady patterns of different fabrics being Frankensteined together and stuffing procured from old pillows.
It was rushed. Embarrassing in the grand scheme of things and Yuu wondered if they could sneak away before Grim said a word about it.
"All these gifts and well wishes are because everyone's worried about you." Then comes the lump in Yuu's throat. They'd never considered that if they fell sick who would care and who wouldn't, hadn't thought about how much they'd yearn for their family in the delirium of a fever.
They wondered, in that moment, they wondered if... Anyone would ever care if they got sick—for all they do for others, in a school like this where only extraordinary thrive would they slip through the cracks?
"Yuu," Jack leans up. "Are... Thank you."
Yuu smiles despite themself, despite the mounting fears that seem to tip the scales of rational and irrational. They know that it's probably not as serious as they're making it out to be but... Yuu can't help but wonder.
"You're welcome."
"Funaa!" Grim hops onto the bed, batting at Jack. "What about me! I came here to!"
Jack tenses before chuckling. "Thank you, Grim."
"Yeah, yeah." The cat monster moves on to his lap. "Yuu made you a gift and I helped, so be grateful!"
"You did?" Something akin to fear, ice cold and electrifying, spears through Yuu's heart as nervous hands fiddle with the gift. They hadn't expected Grim to mention it so soon, but knowing him and his tendency for praise—especially if he contributed the bare minimum—they shouldn't have been so surprised.
"I... um—yeah." It's an awkward bend, clammy—near shaky hands removing the gift from their lap and offering it to Jack who is practically glowing, the tell tale thump of his tail a dead give away.
They just hope he likes it.
The wrapping crinkled under the weight of Jack's hands, claws already bursting through. He peels it slowly and Yuu looks away. Near ashamed at the idea of a present.
They'd wanted to recreate the feeling of home. How, whenever they were sick their mother would slip through with soup and their favorite wolf teddy before ushering off to bed with a kiss on the forehead and a promise that they'd get better soon.
They wanted to recreate all the things they knew they wouldn't have now that they were stuck in Twisted Wonderland with effectively no way to return home.
Yuu wanted to give the same comfort they ached for on cold nights, where their bones felt hollow but their chest was full of something that felt so close watching their memories die.
"I love it."
"Huh?" Yuu perks, widened eyes flitting to Jack's mesmerized face—as if they'd dropped a star into his hands.
"Of course you do, we made it!" Grim exclaims, though one look at his wagging tail tells them all they need to know. Eager for praise even at the smallest expense.
"Thank you."
"I..." Yuu struggles to make sense of it, how Jack could find such a juvenile teddy nice enough that his whole face is glowing. "No problem."
Settling the teddy near his pillow, Jack falls back under the covers. And they take it as a sign to leave, Grim hopping from the bed and Yuu peeling themselves from their spot on the bed.
"Yuu," Jack calls from.the bed just as they flick off the lights. The undertone of pleading not lost on them, they peer back into the darkness of the room, the light of Savanaclaws hallway pouring in.
"Yeah?"
"C...could you stay with me?"
"Really?" Grim cheers, hopping from his perch on their shoulder. "It'll be like a sleep over we have! Yuu come 'ere!"
"Yea—yeah, of course. Yuu snickers as they settle on Jack's right. They'd remembered doing the same, calling out for their mother to watch them while they slept, remembered getting forehead kisses and an extra tucking into the bed.
"You..."
"Hm?"
"...You can lay down."
Jolting at the invitation, they squint into the dark before a smile curls onto their face. Because for all the times Jack is designated the role of protector, he's just as awkward as the rest of them.
Bending down, Yuu presses a kiss to Jack's forehead—hot from the fever. They can feel the boy tense under them before relaxing, the furrow of his brow melting away.
The kiss lingers on their lips as Yuu curls into Jack's side, a strange wash of contentment settling under their skin as the watch him settle into bed.
Because, for all Jack's bluster, Yuu's sure he misses home just as they do, even under the pile of gifts.
"Goodnight, Yuu."
"Goodnight, Jack."

Ace was pretty.
Pretty stupid, pretty irritating, pretty in the sense that his skin was smooth and rough and told everything and nothing about him. How, when the pads of his fingers pressed down upon Ace's skin the boy would rear back on his heels, scoff, and shove him.
Ace was pretty.
Pretty warm and pretty lively, like the nightlight Yuu had treasured as a child—to chase away the shadows of his room and the monsters that curled under his bed and awaited the moment his feet would kick out the covers and finally drag him under.
Pretty. Pretty in the way Yuu wished boys couldn't—shouldn't be. Fingers clenching when his friends would tease and prick at him— made him feel awkward in the skin his skin, made the tightness in his chest so unbearable he'd found himself balled up in the corner of the shower an overwhelming sense of something akin to dread—the fear your life was slipping from your fingers, that you were slowly losing pieces of you to an unknown force.
That the world felt like it was ending and beginning and you'd be the only one there to witness such a beautiful and horrific thing.
Ace was pretty in a way that jerked tears, that made Yuu want to weep—keel over and cry because this overwhelming feeling had reached a fever pitch, and that the butterflies in his chest had been flies slowly eating at him.
Ace was pretty because all these bitter and sweet emotions. The taste of passion strong enough that it coated Yuu's mouth and dashed all the things he'd wanted to say. An ache so great it sent him into frenzy trying to placate that burning under his heart—so close to being painful, so close to feeling good.
Finger pads drag against skin, Ace snickers—and its nothing short of irritating how easy it is for the cherry eyed boy to send his heart into a frenzy.
"I should get a marker and connect all those dots in your face."
"Go to hell,"
"'S not my fault you have connect the dots for skin." Ace huffs, pulling away taking a piece of Yuu with him. Red eyes search the coffee table, a dusty old thing that is surprisingly still holding its weight and then some with all these books spread across it—some they'd struggled to carry.
"Oh no—" Yuu leans away when he realizes that Ace had found what he was looking for—a marker, red like the color of Ace's eyes. "You are not marking my face."
"C'monn." The boy uncaps the marker, a smirk playing on his lips. "I won't do anything weird."
"I've seen what you wrote on Jack's face when he fell asleep first, fuck no."
"Okay—" Ace attempts to inch closer, assuming Yuu's eyes are on the tip of the marker rather than him. "And he got me back."
"He gave you a week long black eye..."
Cherry eyes roll. "Exactly, he got me back."
"You're not putting weird messages on my face, Ace."
"Who said I was gonna do that?" The floorboards creak at the sound of Ace rocking on his knees. "What if I just wanted to connect the dots on your face?"
"Im gonna connect my fist with your face if I look in the mirror—" Yuu nearly chokes on his spit—and words—when Ace nearly crawls onto him. Body slotting into his in a way that made Yuu want to shove him away and call this study session off.
He doesn't think his heart can take anymore.
Jolting at the cold nib of the marker, brown eyes flit to the side in an effort to ignore just how close Ace is or the warmth of his hand heating the skin of his face and chin as he tilts Yuu's head in a way to get a better look.
Yuu feels as though he's ready to burst at the seems and leave nothing behind. The sheer intensity of his gaze has teeth gritting and nails digging crescents into palms.
He can't do it.
He can't look at Ace, it's too much.
The drag of marker, the light puffs of breath being pushed through gritted teeth, the warmth of Ace that heats his chest and the pressure of his arm as his wrist commands each movement.
It's too much.
Yuu wants to burst into tears. Wants this mounting passion and gnawing ache to go away that it feels near desperate how his eyes flit to every bit of the living room and focuses on each minute detail.
"Ace..." He calls, though it feels more strained than anything. Yuu doesn't know what he's even asking for but it settles on his tongue all the same and that's enough for him
"Mn?"
"You..." The boy rasps out. "You're... heavy."
The huff of breath that Ace takes dances against prickling skin and Yuu thanks every higher being that he isn't standing, for his knees would buckle under the absolute weight of the situation.
"I'm almost done." A swipe of wetness, near sticky, drags against Yuu's bottom lip and it takes a moment for him to realize it wasn't a dream.
Ace had dragged the marker nib against his lips.
And like that, the boy pulls away allowing the warmth and closeness that caused his body to tense up to dissipate into the cool air of Ramshackle.
Ears pick up on the sound of the marker cap settling and slowly but surely, Yuu lifts up to peer at Ace in near awe.
"What? Stop being dramatic we have to study for this test or Crewel is gonna kill us."
"I..." Yuu clears his throat. Willing the giddiness of knowing his feelings might be reciprocated down into the deepest parts of him. "Yeah..."
