Don't be super excited because there's a chance this won't be produced at all considering people who volunteer will do this free, no one will be paid before, after or during production. No exceptions either.

Chances are, this could be bad, I don't get enough volunteers, or some drama will happen and production will need to be halted, or (and knock on wood) put on hiatus indefinitely.

Personally, I prefer the youtube series, but I want to give people an option as to what they want from this, because as much as it's mine, it's also something you'll be taking the time out of your day to enjoy. So choose wisely.

Pros for series on Youtube:

Each chapter will be a season, meaning there'll be multiple episodes

(Hopefully) voice acted

Animated scenes(?) (Hopefully, I'm not an experienced animator, so someone will need to volunteer to help with that)

The weird route/snowgrave route will be adapted into a comic later

Cons for series on Youtube:

No series for the snowgrave route/weird route

Each episode will take some time to be made

Unfortunately, there won't be a satisfying clip or those rainbow bouncing balls beneath the video to stimulate you

Delays in production due to my life being busy and this being free access

Production will take some time

Pros for game:

Gameplay

Full game play of chapter 1 will be completed

More difficult game play due to this being a "hard mode" au, if you're someone who enjoys a challenge

Both the pacifist and weird route/snowgrave will be made

Cons for game:

I'm not experienced when it comes to writing story for games, expect there to be a lot of mistakes, especially for a game as detailed as Deltarune

Production will take a while

Again, delays in production due to my life being busy and this being free access

I'm not a modder, so I just need to get lucky and hope someone who knows how to mod will volunteer, chances are, the game won't even be made. But I'm just leaving this option out here.

I really like your AU! It's very fun and now I kind of want to expand on a little AU concept pretty similar to yours! Things are a bit confusing for this AU... but still, very good! I probably just need to look at more stuff, and look closer

Feel free to expand on the universe! I always take suggestions since this is currently a concept!

I don't actually have any "defined" story line as of now (at least until chapters 3-5 come out and I can hopefully get some people to help make this au into an actual game, or if not that, then a comic), but I can clear up some of the confusion you have!:

Like I said in the summary (pinned post), this is Deltarune in hard mode, it's not as forgiving or nice both in story and gameplay as the og game. Secret bosses don't exist (which I said in this post), but that doesn't mean there aren't major changes to the game (though I didn't change too much to the point that this doesn't feel like Deltarune anymore)

The world Neglected Oversight is set in isn't hometown, but instead homecity (as implied by this post). Meaning there are more opportunities and places where you don't normally have access to in the original game. Including castle town (which is called castle city). But I don't want to get into that yet, so I'll go into the characters right now:

Kris is more reserved and keeps to themselves, but they're especially not as forgiving as Kris is in the og game. ESPECIALLY when it comes to Susie. They're not aggressive-aggressive, but they're aggressive to the point they're merciless. Basically, both Susie and Kris have a like-hate friendship. After the events of chapter 1, they're both "okay", but Susie being Susie, she's a bully and is incredibly stubborn when it comes to what she thinks is right. She's also more aggressive and unwilling to try to better herself, meaning she's practically brutal when in and out of battle (each chapter will have her grow as a character, since people don't change that easily). And while with Ralsei, or more known as Serial in this au, he doesn't help, like, at all. He's practically useless.

Getting into the weird route because this is getting long: it's still kind of the same as the og game, but instead of us, the player, manipulating Noelle, we're instead forcing Berdly to kill and using Noelle as a victim. Any acts in the game that seems like the enemy attacked you (ex. Pushing Noelle, screaming that you're hurt, taking small damage), will have Berdly defending you and Noelle, and if pushed too far, ultimatly will have Berdly kill someone.

I explain more about what happens and stuff in the concepts.

But I hope this at least cleared some stuff up!

I'm sorry, I don't understand what you mean, do you mean if I've written a fanfic for this? If so, no, I haven't. I've explained it before, but I'm not writing an official story for this AU yet until chapter 3-5 is out, it's just a precaution so I have a better idea of what Deltarune is about and I'm not making content wildly out there that doesn't feel like Deltarune anymore or assuming stuff and getting it wrong.
