Why do some ppl feel like its ok to black wash characters bc its “not the same as white washing”? Im starting to get pissed off at seeing some of my favorite characters black washed and the person doing it claiming its ok.
Its not pal, its like saying white washing is ok. Which it isnt. Just bc its a different fucking race doesn’t mean shit. Im sure some (most likely a low, low, LOW percentage) of ppl know about the girl on YT who black / asian washed deku from MHA (my hero academia) they also draw their characters with very unnatural thigh gaps.. yikes.
No one better say “its bc its black washing and not white right?” No you stupid fucking retard, i dont like it when i see black characters white washed either (specifically garnet from steven universe, she was white washed once in a CN post) just b its a different race doesn’t mean shit. Im basing this post off the black washing side bc the ppl who do it say its fine bc its not the same or bc its not racist. Honestly just stfu and actually think about it.
Ive seen Deku be black washed, darwin from TMWOGB white washed, fucking GREGORY FROM FNAF black washed, and like before garnet being white washed. If you like the character you wouldn’t need to change their entire fucking race. Just make an OC based off that character god damn.

So this will be a post that will most likely not be seen as so far the only ones that are are my moon uploads, so im cheating and shoving moon at the end of this. Heh.
If you are doubting your artistic abilities or even starting to hate your art, pls dont stop drawing. I recently have had a friend who believes they should quit art even though they make amazing art, a drawing of theirs and their Insta name
Bc they are starting to doubt themselves it reminded me of someone on this app that recently got hate for their art and had even taken a brake. Even if it was a small break they still took one. And yk who you are. You like most of my posts that never show for others.
Back to the main stuff, i want anyone whos starting to hate their art after posting it on stuff to stop and ask themselves. What do YOU hate and what do YOU love about your works? And i mean YOU, not what others have said or anything like that. YOU. What made you start drawing? What do you draw and WHY do you draw it/them?
If you started hating your art on your own without getting hate from others and want to stop / take a break, you can. You will most likely pick it up again in the future or even catch yourself doodling on things. Its fine and normal to stop drawing or doing any form of art do to hate or general feelings your head decided to share with you, its fine.
If you are someone who has gotten hate recently and just doesn’t feel like drawing any more bc of it, dont. Thats letting them win. You started drawing for yourself not for others, sure you maybe showed it to family or friends, but you made it bc you wanted to. Dont quit bc of others, prove those fuckers that they are just asses whove never picked up any drawing utensil and TRIED drawing.

Im starting a vote on my dicord every now and then for oc info. This is armani and markies. It will tell what life was before and after finding each other. Not super detailed just enough info to get the main gist of shit.
Markies and Armani are both apart of the shadow realm. Each realm has birth defects. Markies just so happened to be born with ALL of them.
Birth defects are-
•Mostly white fur
•cyan anywhere
•unable to turn glow off
•more than 2 eyes
Markies has black only on his face. He has cyan eyes, 4 eyes in fact, and cant turn off the glow for his nose. Shadow realm inhabitants have glowing fur, nose, eyes, inside of ear and inside of mouth. They can turn it on and off. Markies can turn it off on his nose.
Because markies is the only shadow realm inhabitant whos ever had ALL borth defects had been hunted his entire life. He was easy to spot and a target for many. He was a liability to his pack / family so he had been dumped in hopes of being killed and never being the realms problem ever again.
The shadow realm protector wanted other realms to think they went extinct as it would benefit them in the war (more info soon on war) so they didnt want to risk sending him out as others would know they exist.
Markies had been (again) hinted his entire life. He had sustained life threatening injuries more than 5 times but he was able to find ways to hide such as digging under ground.
Normally no one would get with a mutant as they cant reproduce and because they cant reproduce they usually die out quickly. He also had no one to help protect him bc of this. He did have ppl find him and try to help protect him / adopt him before turning 16 but they all kept leaving him so he eventually stopped excepting help.
Armani had no big problems growing up, ofc the shadow realm being one of the most dangerous realms didnt help.
She may not have had any specific reasons for being targeted but the shadow realm is full of cannibals.
Armani doesn’t have any mutations. She is how ever infertile. She doesn’t see a problem with being with Markies as they wouldn’t be able to have kids even IF she was considered normal.
Markies had separation issues do to so many adoptions and abandonments in his past.
Markies and armani would be a couple for a good 20 years before the war, both living in the shadow realm for 5 and the forest realm for 15 before the war.
The war is a big war that all my OCs go through unless they choose to stay at home, even then their homes are effected as the lava/fire realm invade all realms except for the forgotten realm.
Armanis dies during the war. Markies ofc finds her. When he finds her he doesn’t leave and instead slowly dies laying next to her. Ofc she smelled as she decade but he didnt care, she was the only one who actually showed him what love is like.
Armanis dies at 32 and Markies dies at 29.
