In an attempt to save another Fragment from being used for evil, Carrie stole the soul shard and ATE IT because:

1. Didnt want it to get stolen bc it was mid-combat

2. "Noirak could eat shards and take them out later so surely I could do the same thing, right? Right?"

3. The overwhelming 8-month old child impulse of shoving objects into your mouth to investigate them

It failed a constitution save moments later and underwent a gruesome transformation as a side effect. In front of the two guys its in love with no less rip

The Dream

Carrie has never known sleep before. For the first six months of its existence, it resided in the body of an Astral Elf named Khloros. A series of unfortunate events led Khloros to betray Carrie, leaving it for dead. An Eldritch Lich named Noirak who was also left dying due to Khloros' betrayal fashioned a new body for Carrie in their final moments. Though hodgepodge and barely functioning, the body was stable enough to prevent Carrie's soul from disappearing into nothingness. This new body came with new powers, and with new needs-- one of them being the need to sleep. And thus for the first time, Carrie slumbers... ...and dreams. (17 pages total, more under the cut.)
