A common complaint I've seen about the proship community is that we don't take callouts seriously enough. Which, understandable!

But my 2 cents is that when "this user is an actual child predator", "this user ships minor/adult ships" and "this user is against harassing people over minor/adult ships" are treated with the same amount of severity, it is genuinely difficult to determine if someone is an actual threat to others.

If I see a callout post with evidence that could easily be doctored, or no evidence, its easy to assume that antis are making it up to ruin lives, considering the batshit insane shit antis send me on the reg.

It’s also interesting how many times I’ve told someone that I’m not trans, I’m intersex and technically cis, and then they turn on this sort of “I’m talking to an idiot who doesn’t know anything about complex gender shit” baby mode

As if being intersex and starting to grow a beard as an eleven year old little girl didn’t force me to develop complex thoughts and ideas and opinions on gender and sex

As if I’m not in my thirties now and have been out of the intersex closet for almost five years and it took years of work to even accept my intersex body

As if I’m not a woman who has intentionally passed as a man for my own safety. For years. In Texas. And lived with the discomfort and dysphoria of hating being perceived as male despite needing to for my safety

But yeah. I don’t know shit about gender, please be condescending to me and treat me like an idiot bc you don’t know anything about intersex people or our experiences

For context im about to turn nineteen. I've been feeling more and more guilty about still being into fandom and having hobbies instead of spending 99% of my time looking for a job and talking about taxes or whatever the fuck antis think grown adults do.

Antis have created this narrative that the moment you turn 20 you should immediately drop everything you love and get a dead end job and be miserable for the rest of your life. And if you don't do that you're weird and creepy and a freak who's probably a pedo/s

Seeing people in their 20s being called freaks for still writing fanfics or just having fandom related hobbies in general makes me wanna throw my phone into a lake and never log on ever again
