I've been resource gathering for YEARS so now I am going to share my dragons hoard

Floorplanner. Design and furnish a house for you to use for having a consistent background in your comic or anything! Free, you need an account, easy to use, and you can save multiple houses.

Comparing Heights. Input the heights of characters to see what the different is between them. Great for keeping consistency. Free.

Magma. Draw online with friends in real time. Great for practice or hanging out. Free, paid plan available, account preferred.

Smithsonian Open Access. Loads of free images. Free.

SketchDaily. Lots of pose references, massive library, is set on a timer so you can practice quick figure drawing. Free.

SculptGL. A sculpting tool which I am yet to master, but you should be able to make whatever 3d object you like with it. free.

Pexels. Free stock images. And the search engine is actually pretty good at pulling up what you want.

Figurosity. Great pose references, diverse body types, lots of "how to draw" videos directly on the site, the models are 3d and you can rotate the angle, but you can't make custom poses or edit body proportions. Free, account option, paid plans available.

Line of Action. More drawing references, this one also has a focus on expressions, hands/feet, animals, landscapes. Free.

Animal Photo. You pose a 3d skull model and select an animal species, and they give you a bunch of photo references for that animal at that angle. Super handy. Free.

Height Weight Chart. You ever see an OC listed as having a certain weight but then they look Wildly different than the number suggests? Well here's a site to avoid that! It shows real people at different weights and heights to give you a better idea of what these abstract numbers all look like. Free to use.

#reblog #I remember when I would go to the local libraries in my area because that was the only internet connection I had access to #i would come in with my laptop with the screen attached to a cardboard box with binder clips because the hinge broke #I would try to download music/youtube videos/streams/games so I would have something to watch/do at home #and i would send out job applications that I never heard back from the majority of #it wasn't the easiest time but going there was a comfort for me during it all. I always felt welcome. #Meanwhile this Audible or Kindle shit or whatever the fuck probably just stops working if you aren't hooked up to the internet or have data #They try to act like they provide something no one else will but it's a lie #And it costs money too. monthly subscription bs that you can't escape from these fucking days #And when you cancel they always try to force an answer as to WHY out of you as if they're entitled to that #Or try to trick you or guilt you into staying #I wish i lived closer to my libraries. I want to be able to walk there and get out of the house sometimes. Can't take a bus either...

#reblog #polls #I never experienced sexual attraction until I was 21 #Up until that point I didn't really know what sexual attraction was definitively like if that makes sense? #Because people described it as like- seeing a person and having an intense desire to have sex with them #And all I could think was “that sounds a bit exaggerated that can't be right” #And I mean I guess in a way I was both right and wrong?? Its not that simple but its the quickest way to put it I guess #and I don't really know if I experience it as strongly or as often as others #I definitely found people attractive as a kid/younger adult but it never really went beyond wanting to go out with them #I had a basic concept of what sex was so its not like I just didn't know #It just grossed me out and honestly still kind of does? #Like I experience sexual desire but the actual act itself kinda grosses me out #but i also don't know how much of that is dysphoria based or how much of that is kinda trauma related? But both definitely play a part in i #It doesn't really help overall that Sexual Education fucking sucks (at least in the US idk about anywhere else) #I remember being frustrated as a kid when I tried to ask about it since the answer would always be “We'll tell you when you're older” #I mean I guess it makes sense because no one wants to explain such an adult topic to an 8 year old #but it still felt dismissive to me back then because they wouldn't tell me WHY they wouldn't explain it to me then. #And I never looked it up or anything because I never thought to look up stuff I didn't know about online #idk #IDK the best way to put my sexuality is like “Pan/Bisexual but it's complicated” I guess

just ended up sending in feedback about the layout to support. But I have to say it here too, this new layout is such a pain in the ass to figure out. I hated twitter's layout for the same reason, its so annoying to use and everything feels so cluttered and squished in and distracting... it's actually headache inducing.

I really wish I had the option to switch back. I wish there was an option to CHOOSE between the two layouts. I wish I had the choice to opt out of "testing" this thing.

"If it ain't broke, don't fix it" really should have been brought up before they even tried making this. It was fine before, and now the new layout is completely different and frustrating when it didn't need to be.

If I wanted Twitter's layout, I would have just fucking gone to Twitter.
