I must confess that it’s incredibly upsetting and downright aggravating to me that Mikasa and Armin were just so blind to Eren’s clear sorrow and discomfort for so long. Either they didn’t notice at all or willingly looked the other way.

They’ve known him since they were 8 or 9 years-old and endured a lot of struggles together. For Eren’s childhood friends, of all people, to not see his pain or overlook it is just depressing. 

However, I don’t think this is out of character for Armin and Mikasa because they’ve already exemplified this behavior towards Eren earlier, during two distinct times: the conclusion of the Uprising arc and the ocean scene. Both featured timeskips that involved drastic and visible changes in Eren’s personality. Those changes resulted from Eren learning an incredible amount of distressing information that destabilized his entire worldview.

but this is also sort of interesting… it feels like kou should know how old kei is because he was on the news constantly, but it kind of implies he saw kei with his lack of innocence and thought he was older. “i am a high schooler” is like, reminding us how young kei really is (17 years old) despite everything that is going on

Do you guys remember the episode in season 1 during the villains vs. heros exercise where Bakugo sees everyone else's quirks and starts to have a mental breakdown and doubt his own abilities?

That's the same energy as being the AP/Honors kid since middle school, getting good grades, and graduating at the top of your class all without trying and then going to college and realizing almost all of these people are on the same level as you and I have never laughed at and related to a character more.

He’s fastidious

When the dead boys come for him in the standpipe he defends himself using his bird-book and shouting out the names of birds (it works)

Has an adorably dry sense of humour

Makes the suggestion to clean up the blood from Beverly’s bathroom (and then pays for the rags to get cleaned and jokes that it was a laundry date)

Was offended when he saw the dead boys (which is way worse than being frightened in his eyes)

Was the most successful young accountant in Atlanta

Played baseball and “had the reflexes of an angel” according to Eddie (and I honestly don’t disbelieve, cause my boy Stan is an angel)

He is the one who cuts the rest of the losers palms because he knows that it wasn’t really gone
