Inktober Day 4: Freeze
I want to bottle this moment; I want to capture the way you look right now, glowing and happy and perfect, into marble that will last for centuries after our bones turn to dust. I want to paint the light in my chest onto canvas, but Michelangelo could never do justice to the way your eyes gleam, bright and so very, very alive. I want to freeze Time and soak in every heart beat, with no care for past or future. Let there be only this~ let there be only us.

Inktober Day 3: Bait
It had seemed such a simple thing at the time, to take his hand, offered with a smile that could outshine the sun, and follow him over the dappled pathway. (Once, she would have followed him anywhere.) A bit of mischief hardly seemed nefarious; after all, what harm could shadows do?  But now she stood on a cliff's edge, watching as the last star fizzled out, and he stood before her, teeth gleaming sharp like a bear trap.
"Why?" she asked him. Why did you let me do those things? Why did you never warn me of what I would become?
"The choice was always yours," he told her. The sun had long burned out of his smile. "It wasn't my fault you took the bait."
He extended his hand. The trap's jaws creaked open.

Inktober Day 2: Mindless
Don't look up, whatever you do. Don't look around, keep your head down, color within the lines and don't (whatever you do, don't) let yourself think. It's the only way to keep yourself safe. In a world in which Logic is the enemy, the Mindless rule and roam like the living dead.

Inktober Day 1: Ring
If you see one, stay away. They'll draw you in, with music that tastes like hot summer nights and dreams long forgotten. They'll reach for your hand with the promise that they'll never let go (and you'll never want them to). But when you stumble drunk on revelries that would put Bacchus and all his nymphs to shame, and see how the world has passed you by, that even those who loved you have forgotten your name, you will understand that there is no joy in being Chosen. (To think the Fae consider such cruelty a blessing.)
If you see a Fairy ring,
run.

So, I've always loved the idea of inktober, but I'm not much of an art person, so instead I thought I'd use them as writing prompts! Anyone else thinking of doing this?
