One Night Stand Prompts

Person A is not a kiss and tell kind of person, so their friends start to think that they have been alone for way too long now and set them up with Person B. What the friends don’t know is that they both already know each other – intimately.

It was supposed to be a one night stand. Then it became a second night. A third - and suddenly they realized that they had never left.

Person A normally does not go out to clubs. They normally don't accept drinks from strangers or dance with them. And they normally do not go home with them.

Remembering every last inch on Person B's body is not a weird thing, just because they only hooked up that one time. They had just been very thorough. And now the memories are haunting them. In the best way.

Person A's last one night stand ended with a misunderstanding and a lot of awkwardness. To cheer them up again, their friends set them up with a blind date. They meant well, it’s not their fault that it’s the person they had previously slept with.

Person A's friends are obsessed with setting them up with blind dates, and A knows they mean well, but they are just not interested in dating, so they just ask their last blind date and one night stand, Person B, to fake date them, so A's friends stop setting them up.

Can you still call it a one night stand if they actually already had one years ago?

Person A had never had a one night stand before, so they don't know what the correct etiquette is. They are currently bringing breakfast to Person B, who is still in bed, because that's the polite thing to do, right?

What is the worst thing that can happen when you have someone in your bed that you just had an amazing night with? Your parents deciding to pay you a visit, who are just so excited to meet your new partner.

Person A and Person B are in a committed relationship and very happy. So happy that they decide adding a third person for just one night won't change anything.

"Would you let me take care of this for you?" - whoever you've thought of most recently among your ocs

So this is WIP of sort, although was 100% started because of this ask. lol My GW2 pair has been on my mind recently, even though I'm pretty certain no one else cares for them--either that or the fanfic community for GW2 is very small. In any case, here's what I've written so far!

A frustrated sigh escaped Rhetton’s lips when his lover batted his hands away from the armor piece he was trying to remove. Those same hands then took over, carefully peeling the gauntlet off. “Canach, I can undress myself…” the former commander trailed off when amethyst eyes glared daggers at him. Wincing, he turned his head away, knowing full well the look was warranted…. ...because he once again ran off head-first into danger, causing the older man to worry over his safety.

It really didn’t help that he had nearly gotten himself cut in two by an enraged Ascended chasing after the refugees trying to flee. Rhetton had stepped in to help but was injured in the process. He could clearly remember the panicked look on Canach’s face--even from under that helmet of his--as an Agent named Kossian dragged him back to the Order of Secret’s outpost where his friends were. Thankfully, he had sustained only minor injuries--just a couple of bruises and scrapes…and the rather long and bleeding slash across his chest. Unfortunately, there was nothing he could do to hide the blatantly obvious injury from his partner. Not that it would have been a secret long, especially with Canach dead set on looking him over.  The older sylvari had practically thrown Rhetton over his shoulder to get him to a healer--much to the amusement of the man already helping him. While Rhetton found the action endearing, he knew he scared the shit out of the warrior…again. “Would you just…” Canach started to say, pulling the engineer’s attention back before he shook his head and sighed. “Never mind.” “No, Nach, don’t ‘never mind’ me,” Rhetton said, stopping the warrior’s hands from peeling him out of his sylvarin armor. He held them and squeezed lightly. “Talk to me.” A long silence followed before Canach sighed again, leaning in to press his forehead against Rhetton’s chest. “Would you just let me take care of this for you?” he asked quietly. “I’m aware I’d never be able to stop you from stepping into danger. You’re too much of a good person to just stand aside and do nothing--especially when you know you can help. All I ask is when you do, at least allow me to take care of you in the aftermath.” Rhetton could not keep the smile from his face, even if he wanted to. Pulling the older man closer, he wrapped him up in his arms and hugged him tightly. “I can do that…although you may need to remind me some days,” he chuckled softly, “I do tend to have an issue knowing when to rest.” The soft laughter that left Canach was deep and rich. “Yes, dearheart, I am well aware of that issue of yours.” Rhetton scrunched his nose at the endearment. “I take it dearheart is not to your liking?” the warrior grinned. “It is not…heard Foalin call Caithe that far too much,” Rhetton replied, “It’s rather ruined for me.” “Hmm, understandable,” Canach said thoughtfully, rubbing his chin, “I’ll work on coming up with something else.”

Sylvari Headcanons

Headcanon 1: So, as a race, I believe all sylvari are able to change their appearance to suit who they become once they awake from the Dream. And not just features like hair and clothes, but facial features, eye color, bark/petal/skin color, voice, gender...EVERYTHING. They're living sentient beings made of compacted plant matter that bleed golden sap and are born fully grown, so it doesn't feel like it's out of the realm of possibilities. When they do want to make more drastic changes, I envision them creating some sort of pod where they slumber while the changes are made. It would take a few hours for smaller changes and a couple of days for larger or more complicated ones. I was rather inspired by Canach's transformation from boy band member to heavy metal drummer. Although I just read a lovely post from someone about him being a hawthorn tree, it fits him rather well!

Headcanon 2: This one concerns their lifespan. I believe sylvari are ageless. Because they don't age like the other races, there's a good chance a sylvari could live for thousands of years—as long as something doesn't come along and kill them (or they get themselves killed).

Headcanon 3: It's not safe for work (NSFW) because it deals with their anatomy—more specifically, the lower bits of most male sylvari... >.>

Their dicks, I'm talking about their dicks. Yes, I'm a bit of a weirdo...-sigh- Anyway, yeah, they have non-human-looking genitalia. It's mostly the fact that they store those bits inside themselves until they're aroused. As for the penis (...why does that word feel dirtier than dick or cock... >.>), I don't know...I'm leaning toward something similar to humans but slightly different- ribbed, maybe. Definitely, nothing you'd find on Bad Dragon or a specialty site. =P

Again, yes, I'm weird.

Hawthorn

I am the first to affectionately call Canach a cactus - and it is fitting! both physically and in terms of his prickly character - BUT! Allow me to bring forth an alternative! Canach is not a cactus. He is a hawthorn.

As a sapling, Canach arboured light green bark, and white leaves / petals, his features remarkably devoid of thorns.

Come a few years and a few hardship, and there's Canach as we now know him, his bark turned dark grey and quite a few thorns marring his features.

And now for the comparison. Hawthorn.

As for how far as the comparison goes...

Hawthorns are shrubs, or small trees.

Their bark is dull brown with vertical orange cracks.

The name itself is derived from the anglo-saxon word 'haguthorn' meaning "wall of thorns". "The bramble walls were a stroke of genius. If I do say so myself."

And as for the symbolism of hawthorn, they are associated with protection and isolation, thriving in defensive, thorny hedges, and as solitary trees, with love and renewal, blooming in may, and with death.

I don't know what it is, but I can't seem to get into Baldur's Gate 3--and I feel super bad about it.

From outward appearance it seems very much my thing. I can create a character (spent more time in the character creator than the game, I swear...song will forever be stuck in my head). It has choices and romances (I want to romance Astarion and Karlach)! Interesting characters galore and beautiful scenery! But I can barely get to the part where you see Wylls.

I have started more than a few times to see if maybe it was the class or what not. I know the overall gameplay isn't entirely my cup of tea in terms of the over head isometric feel--definitely more of an over the shoulder type of person. I found that using a controller over m+k helps a bit in that regard, although it's very odd for me to use.

I know do get annoyed when I seemingly need to quick save constantly because I don't know if there's gonna be a cutscene soon and I might pick a wrong choice or roll really low. I know I like things playing out in a certain way and it's sometimes difficult to do so--yes, I am weird, I know. I also feel a bit lost at time, and while I love exploring in games, I hate accidently progressing something too fast and missing something. Sure, I could just let it play out as is because that's what happens in DnD, but I never feel like this when it happens in DnD so I'm not sure. Granted, I am a very newbie DnD player.

-sigh- I don't know. This is driving me batty.

By now people have played it several times over and I can't seem to even get a full hour in (not including character creation). I honestly feel left behind because I can't get into what is an amazing game from a kickass studio.

Sorry for the rant...I'm not even sure if it makes any sense. -sigh-

Maybe I'll try again and just force myself forward with it? I'm already sticking with the story driven version because I'm not a min-maxer with this type of thing. Stick with Warlock or Sorc for cantrips and simple fighting.
