Painting, Oil on Canvas, Size: 150 W x 150 H x 2.5 D cm
"Access to this image has been blocked by the artist's decision."
Turkey exhibits the most mediocre practices of the United Nations Universal Declaration of Human Rights regarding freedom of thought and expression. In order for their thought and artistic production to be published, they have to present their works in a different way. Even if people or artists with different views freely publish their works, they are blocked, threatened or placed under suspicion within the framework of the law. The internet, the platform of freedom, unfortunately encounters many obstacles. The artist produced this work by referring to self-censorship and closing his work. As a computer frame, the work refers to internet platforms and self-censorship.
Painting, Oil on Canvas, Size: 30 W x 42 H x 2 D cm
The artist designs this work based on the thoughts of that moment. He creates a collage with images and memories of his life at that moment. Referring to the postcards he made in the past and his latest works, he interprets the postcard visuals, the embroideries on fabric, the decorations and textures he paints on the walls that he frequently sees in his family and surroundings, and includes them in his painting. It brings together his relationship with the fishing rod, which reflects his enthusiasm for fishing at that moment, and the process of the fish coming home wrapped in newspaper. Using the figure's calm and thoughtful expression, the artist reflects the traces of the past onto the stamp, inspired by the Orhan Veli poetry book he read in the background. Again, the artist connects it with his circular gold leaf works and combines it with the figure made as if with a gold texture in Klimt's works. Thus, the artist presents his oil painting to us after designing his impressions and thoughts about the process in the form of a collage.

Diatom, 2023, Oil on canvas, 28,5x33,5cm. Fatih Sungurtekin, Turkey.
It shows the artist's interest in the large and small scales of the universe.
