SOAP

-puts stuff in his mouth a lot to hold it when he runs out of hands (this includes when he’s making explosives, it stresses everyone out)

-gets cute aggression and bites people

-will also bite in a fight

-has bits and pieces of rubble from explosions that he thought looked pretty

-is feral, like he takes a hit to the face during a spar and grins with blood trickling into his mouth

-had a graffiti phase as a teen that never fully left and because of it he writes in all capital letters. this is great when they need something written down where no one can read it. (the 141 probably had a meeting where they went over how to read his handwriting)

-has dreams so realistic he wakes up confused wondering if it was a memory he forgot about even if it didn’t make sense

-military grade anger issues

-never fully grew out of his punk phase

-his childhood room was full of road signs and traffic cones

-would be interested in getting into blacksmithing if he didn’t grow up poor and hates spending money on himself that isn’t out of necessity (seriously you need like 30k to start a forge)

-can and will obsess over damascus patterns in blades (i feel like his favorite pattern would be fish bone or those really complicated mosaic patterns. he gets soap into it too by showing him fireball patterns)

-never grew out of echolalia and because of this is amazing at mimicking noises (he mimicks smoke alarm battery low noises and phone chimes to troll people sometimes.)

-is aggressively hydrated and is one of those people who carry around those big 128 oz water bottles

-gets competitive over karaoke (it took him months to convince everyone to join and he only got the idea after finding out soap wanted to be in a band as a teen and that he spent days learning how to properly vocal fry)

-says WOO! when he’s super fucking excited (will throw his arms up as well if soap is around because the two of them are an echo chamber of emotion)(the WOO! might actually be canon theres a voice line in warzone)

-ghost put soap in air jail once, it was very effective

-gaz and soap go to the gym together and take photos in the mirrors after they’re done (somewhere there’s a photo of the time they got ghost to join and they even got him to flex an arm)

-ghost and soap are professional assholes to each other.

-none of the 141 are allowed play card games and gamble with each other because they’re all dirty charlatans

-price tried to stop smoking only once and carried around gum and peppermints. ghost stole the peppermints and soap wouldn’t stop asking for gum

Close Encounters of the Third Kind (1977) - this one pretty much traumatized me as a kid but it's been on my mind again. guy gets alien visions & makes a big pile of dirt in his living room... big enough his wife wants a divorce. what more do you need?

Apollo 18 (2011) - one of my favorites of all time. i just think they did a stellar job using the NASA footage gimmick for found footage horror.

Evangelion rebuild original trilogy (07, 09, 12) - most recent movies i watched (today). i still think theyre neat but im one of those eva meta text freaks sooooo... watched em with a friend whos never seen eva before lol.

The Black Hole (1979) - "In! Through! And beyond!". another childhood brain worm... but this one SUCKS. theres a spaceship on the edge of a black hole, and you just wont believe what the megalomaniacal robot obsessed captain has done to his crew.

Bladerunner 2049 (2017) - has just been on my mind. i think they did a decent job making a sequel to bladerunner that doesnt feel like a hollow pander-fest.

The Creator (2023) - most recent movie i saw in theaters. oh my god if youve seen the trailers and thought it looked BAD. im here to tell you. it was. i was head in hands for half the thing stg.

Dinosaur (2000) - i always put dinosaur on lists like this bc it was the one i was MOST obsessed with as a kid. i wore that vhs OUT. and yet i cannot for the life of me remember how that movie ends.

I dont have loads of wips atm. Im now working on a tapestry which I am loving the idea of but am in such early stages so do check back in there lmao. And i have so many au Carlesme drawings to get through. How many did we count? Like 16 or something stupid?! I have been thinking about that ghostly drawing, need to get back to that one.

But fave wip by far is Rope. Rope Rope Rope. I love it so much I love the vibes, i love the tones, i love the macabre, the soft love brewing, i like reading it and i love writing it and like the scenes i love most are the ones I havent even gotten to writing yet. my favourite wouldbuilding thing i came up ever has to be my idea that orcs and goblins usually live in mixed species households/tribes bc they both come from the steppe (altho goblins actually come from more like the moutains on the edge of the steppe) and orcs herd large animals like horses yaks and cattle while goblins heard goats and ponies and sheep. so 1 family unit is actually usually made of 1-2 orc families and 2-3 goblin families. and well. uh. of COURSE theres a lot of cross species relationships and families! but when and orc and a goblin h*ld hands, that makes a hobgoblin :)

oh and i love that like lets say the whole tribe decides to move to a city across the country where there arent that many orcs or goblins or hobgoblins. and theyre looking for a house and are like :( were not all gonna fit in this apartment.. or this house.. or this apartment.. or this other house..

originally it came from an idea of the goblins seeing orcs comparatively massive tents and wagons and being like "yo i am like 1/4th of your total weight can i just like. like in between yalls bedrolls" and the orcs being like "yeah sure. i mean. what even is the con of this"

i think so! min wants to print them out & put them up for display when they sell at cons, but ill see if theyre willing to put it up digitally when the time comes (: theres a lot more art from min & some cool character intros they made to look like wanted posters, so def some sweet new stuff!!
