imagine if Valentino had a young daughter, probably like 7 or 8 and basically he didn’t even care enough about her to teach her how to use her wings and was overall just a bad dad, but at one point Angel Dust just sees her on the street and is just like “you’re coming home with me” and basically just adopts her. But she looks a lot like her dad so he kinda knows she’s his daughter but at the same time she’s a sweet kid and can’t imagine her being related to him, but at one point Val comes to get her and he hits her in the process so Angel just gets ready to murder him.

Angel Dust was on his break, Husk and Nifty had came with him as they wanted to spend time. Angel Dust smiled as you walked around him happily babbling about something random, for being the daughter of his boss you were a sweetheart. You all left. Valentino stared in surprise as Angel Dust coddled you, Nifty was going manic as she kept shouting she was going to avenge her best friend while Husk was whispering to you. They took his daughter yet you don’t care. Angel Dust actually harmed him to the point he almost coughed up blood. Valentino was speechless…what just happened?

Valentino’s daughter reader anon! What about Husk teaching the reader how to use her wings? (I mentioned Valentino didn’t care enough to do that in my last post) but she has trouble trusting people so she’s always nervous if what he’s saying is try and she acts as if she’s walking on eggshells to not make him mad like her father.

Husk smiled as he watched your happiness and interaction. He knew you still had training to do but you were a strong flyer which is a good thing in hell, you can get away from things faster.

Summary: You had a dream again…it had Valentino…it’s been like this for weeks

You knew this was a dream…because this took place in the past. You sighed. This one reoccurred so often that you just go through it to make it stop. Getting up from the spot you where sitting in you grabbed the drawing as you walked down the hall. It always seemed so long when walking. You looked down at the drawing. It was a scribble of you and Valentino smiling, but not holding hands. You were beside him and holding a bucket that said ‘Tips for dad’ and Valentino was smiling as he held money in his hands.

He always seemed so happy when he had money…or anything or anyone else around him yet he seemed disinterested whenever you were around. You remember wishing to someone that he would finally love you for once. You wanted it so deeply. Before your mama and dad came around, you begged for Valentino’s love. A little part of you still does.

You finally reached the door. ‘Valentino’s office’ You sighed as you knocked on the door then meekly said. “Dad…it’s me…can I come in?” You waited…and waited until you heard a groan. That always meant yes so you entered, with your head down staring at the drawing. You didn’t wanna risk seeing one of Angel Dust’s coworkers in there, while they were pretty and cared for you..you didn’t wanna risk seeing them in their most vulnerable time..you know that whenever a worker enters here their vulnerable.

“Here you go dad” You softly said as you put the drawing on his desk. You could hear him snatching it. “Do you like it?” You softly asked. You heard him mumble something under his breath. If you were to look up you’d see him shaking his head and rolling his eyes. “Yeah sure” he said in an annoyed tone. You knew he hated it but that little part of you felt happy that he said he liked it. “Now I got work to do. Go play with those toys” he said as he waved his hand. “Can…can I hangout with Angel Dust?” You softly asked.

He thought about it then shrugged as he pushed you out his office. “Sure, I don’t care. I’m busy so don’t bother me okay sweetie?” He said in an annoyed tone. He hates calling you that. But you were happy, you got some love from him. Smiling widely you headed towards Angel Dust, this was always your favorite part of your dream. Going to play with mama.

You smiled as you on the ground drawing, you’ve always liked drawing. You tried to get into reading but sometimes the words would jumble up or they wouldn’t make sense at all so you stopped trying. You read when you were asked but besides that? You never read, it was way to difficult for you. Angel Dust and Husk had noticed this, at first they thought it was just you being a kid but when they saw you struggle they realized it was deeper

It honestly didn’t take them long to realize what it was after Vaggie asked you to read a book out loud, you kept saying the wrong words and had to be corrected or you would hold the book close to your face as you sounded it out. Angel dust sat beside you as he gently said, “Hey sweetie. I wanna ask something.” You looked up as you smiled. “Yeah mama?” He softly smiled as he looked down at you. “Can you describe to me what happens when you read?”

You pouted softly as you remembered. “The words jumble up or I don’t understand them sometimes, it’s so odd and hard” you reply as you sighed. That was all they needed. Angel Dust softly sighed as he rubbed your cheek and pat your head as husk sat on the other side of you. “That’s fine baby, how about we practice huh?” He softly suggested. Husk joined in. “It’ll be good for you and we’ll help you out”

You smiled as you nod your head and hugged them. You went back to drawing as Angel Dust and Husk decided to make a list of books that would be good beginners for you. They also did a lot of research on how to help you with your dyslexia

I like to think that spider-bat!Reader tells Miguel in Spanish in front of the batfam “Your the reason I believe in fate because your my paradise.” Or something like your my safe place. Just spider-bat!Reader making sure that Miguel feels like he’s a good dad.

Miguel hugs Spider-Bat!Reader while thanking them and thanking any god out there for giving him them in Spanish. The batfam doesn’t understand but they get a jist once they hear Miguel say “I’m so proud that I can be called your dad” and Bruce gets extra pissed off!
