We ventured to the Osumi Peninsula in eastern mainland Kagoshima Prefecture to @canyoningsarugajyotarumizu to learn how to make baumkuchen over a campfire! The process was really simple and fun and we added granulated sugar and cinnamon to our pancake batter to jazz up the flavor. First, cover the bamboo stick with aluminum foil and burn it so that the foil sticks firmly. Next, pour batter over the foil while spinning the stick. Once the batter is uniform, rotate over the flame until it gets dark and crispy. Then repeat. After you've created multiple layers, you can pull the baumkuchen off the stick while spinning it. Then cut it into slices and voilà! You have baumkuchen (German for "tree cake"). We covered ours in some Kentucky lavender honey :) Highly recommended for any campfire and be sure to roast each layer until it is very crispy🔥 #鹿児島 #垂水 #森 #バウムクーヘン #体験 #スイーツ #焚き火 #手作り #菓子 #大隅半島 #japan #kagoshima #kagofancreator #kagofan #tarumizu #campfire #baumkuchen #fire #experience #sweets #cinnamon #honey #homemade #forest #osumi #peninsula #visitjapan #kagoshimajapan #kyushu #natural (at 猿ヶ城渓谷 森の駅たるみず) https://www.instagram.com/p/Ck-FDS7Jv3T/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=
