In your Dragon AU, how will things pan out for Audrey? Will her dragon curse be lifted? If not, will she at least get some kind of happy ending? Because Dragon Audrey has been through (at least in my opinion) more crap than she deserves, she realized her mistakes and paid her dues, she deserves some happiness after everything
Hi! It kinda depends on which version of the AU is followed :) she does get happily ever after (sorta) in both, but they are different types of happily ever after.
1.) Chaudrey: If the Dragon AU follows the Chad x Audrey route, true loves kiss breaks the spell. They take a bit of time to figure out how their love is meant to work, and the curse is there to help Audrey see that love can be found outside perfection.
2.) Maldrey: If the Dragon AU leans more towards Mal x Audrey, Auds doesn’t ever change back to a full human. This version of the story is about two enemies finding common ground and being pulled together through instinct, learning to live with mistakes and imperfections. Caught between a life of freedom as a dragon, or a life of royalty, but suppressing what comes naturally.
So it kinda depends, there’s no set canon for the AU 😅 whoops lol

4, 10, 15, 20 for the Descendants asks
4. Favorite song?
Oh my gosh, another three-way tie! It's "What's My Name", "Chillin' Like a Villain" and "Queen of Mean" for me. Those are my top three faves. But "What's My Name" gets extra points because it's the one song my little brother and I sing to when we watch the second movie.
10. Least favorite Auradon Kid?
I gotta say Chad for this one. I don't even completely hate him, I just hate how he was written from the second movie and beyond. Easily could have made him a lovable idiot that got character development! Come on! Just threw that out the window after the first movie!
15. Favorite ship? (Including non-canon and canon ships.)
I don't care what anybody says, Huma is canon to me! Their scenes are always good chemistry. I also like Audrey/Uma a lot.
20. What's something you wish could have happen?
I was gonna say a character for here, but then I remembered the deleted scenes they had for D3 and one I wished they added was when Jay and Carlos have this nice, cute talk about Jay going to college and the Smee Twins were there and it ends with Carlos having to penguin walk back to the house since the boys were hanging off him (relate to that as a big sister).
It was such a heartwarming scene! Like I wanted my boys to have a moment!!

I’m kinda late, but what are your brutally honest thoughts on these ships:
Chad x Ginny Gothel
Shang Jr x Jordan
Oooh, not going to lie, I haven't actually given too much thought into these until now.
For Chad and Ginny, its hard to say because it really depends on how you write them. For Chad, it depends on his arc, and with Ginny her personality is really up to the author. I can be okay, partially because I don't have a set person I ship Chad with. For Ginny, I tend to ship her more with Diego de Vil, but as mentioned, she and Chad can be cute. I do like the concept of Chad falling for an Isle girl, and someone who's not a royal. It can help provide character growth.
Now Jr. and Jordan... I can see the appeal, for once she's also out of Auradon Prep. These characters aren't ones I'm that attached to, so I really don't have feelings on who they are with. I do like giving Jordan a LI who isn't Jay.
But honestly, I don't have much to say about these ships. They can be cute. I probably wouldn't write them, but I find nothing wrong with them.

Dizzy: Doing people's nails and hair, talking about different kinds of hairstyles, hairstyles and....nail polish things...(I know nothing about this), making people look pretty - basically she loves everything about her job except the cleaning up - clothing styles, spending time with Evie.
Celia: Telling people's fortunes, tricking people, the occasional bout of pickpocketing, learning how to use her magic.
Squeaky and Squirmy: Spending time with their brother Sammy and their father, spending time with the Hook kids, learning how to be sailors and do....sailing stuff (I know nothing about this either.).

Zevon: Experimenting with potions and of course using them to try to take over Auradon, spending time with CJ (while they plot how to take over Auradon again), arguing with his sister.
Harriet Hook: Being in charge, having people listen to her and do what she says, not have to deal with whatever it was CJ just got herself into, sailing her ship, having time to herself, reading poetry.
CJ Hook: Explosions, crazy plans that will probably fail, spending time with her siblings (not that she'll admit it) climbing the rigging, sailing.

@chrmiing asked: " He said he's six-foot-two and I'm like, "Dude, nice try"." ( audrey + chad )
( a guts ask meme isn't a bad idea, right? )
Tumblr media
"Well, he sounds like an idiot." Audrey replied with a little roll of her eyes. She took his opposite in hers now, holding it gently as she began to brush a fresh coat of nail polish onto his nails. "I'm sorry little miss priss chose him over you." She stopped for a minute to look him in the eyes, her own shining with nothing but sincerity. "She doesn't know what she's missing out on."

A Little Bird Told Me - Tara Carpenter
Summary: a badly interpreted tweet makes Tara get jealous
Warnings: Fem! Reader, a bit of angst, mentions of yellowjackets characters (Lottie Matthews and Lottienat), curse words
Word Count: 5.3k
Tumblr media
"I propose a movie night at Tara's house!"
That catches the attention of the younger Carpenter, making her turn away from the direction of the Blackmore University library to answer Mindy with a teasing smile. "And who said I want you all at my house tonight?"
"You don't have a choice!" Mindy retorts, tossing a fallen leaf from the table they were sitting on towards Tara. "And you definitely want a certain someone to come to your house tonight."
"Yeah, you've been staring at the library door since she went in there." Anika joins her girlfriend in the argument, causing Tara's face to turn even redder.
You had been at the table earlier with Tara, Mindy, Anika, Chad, and Ethan, but a message had arrived on your phone and you hastily headed towards the library, letting your friends know you wouldn't take long. Since you left, the freckled girl couldn't help but look expectantly in that direction, missing your funny comments and calming presence.
It's true that Tara might have had a little crush on you since the beginning of this year, when you patiently and non-judgmentally listened to a long rant that Carpenter had been holding back about everything that had happened in Woodsboro. You had been there too, but you let her say everything she wanted and didn't even mention your own traumas, being more concerned with holding Tara in your arms as she shed the necessary tears. Since that night, she couldn't help but see you in a different light.
"Well, if everyone's up for it, I don't think Sam will mind having you all over." She tried to smoothly change the subject.
"I'm in!" Ethan was the first to confirm, followed by the other three instantly. Tara took the opportunity to take her phone out of her pocket and message Sam, informing her about the plans for later.
"Wow, who's that?" She heard Chad say, but didn't lift her head from her phone, thinking he was talking about some random girl he found attractive. However, Mindy's next sentence made Tara snap her head up so fast she almost got whiplash.
"Ooh, Y/n is in good company!" Mindy teased, and Tara followed her gaze until she spotted you, coming out of the library laughing alongside a girl who was clearly beautiful even from a distance. The dark wavy hair framed her face perfectly, and she was tall like a model. There was no reason for it, but the Carpenter girl suddenly felt intimidated by this new mystery girl.
You continued walking with her towards your friends, and as you got close enough to be seen clearly but not close enough to overhear the conversation, Chad blurted out a comment. "Damn, is that Charlotte Matthews?"
"Fuck! I think it is!" Anika added with excitement. Seeing the huge question mark on Tara's face, she hurriedly explained. "Lottie is on the college women's soccer team, and they're basically unbeatable. She's, like, super popular."
Tara crossed her arms and looked in your direction again, a bitter taste forming in her mouth as she noticed you were still laughing at something the girl had told you. What could possibly be so amusing?
"I didn't know Y/n had rizz like that." Mindy added with a thoughtful expression. "Good for her."
Before Tara could say that there was nothing to indicate you had any interest in Lottie (something she was also trying to convince herself of), you finally reached the table, greeting your friends with a smile. "Hey, guys."
"Hey." Lottie spoke after you, a bit shyly. How dare she be beautiful, tall as a goddess, and yet still have an adorable charm?
Everyone responded, and Tara found herself forcing a smile to hide her conflicting feelings. She sought your gaze, and some of the knot in her stomach unraveled as you locked eyes. "We're having a movie night at my place tonight, do you want to come?"
Your expression twisted into one of sorrowful regret. "Can't, sorry. I'll be tutoring Lottie in organic chemistry, it'll probably take the whole day." Tara realized you were still looking at her, trying to decipher if she was upset about your absence. Ever since movie nights had become a kind of tradition within the group, you had never missed one. This would be the first time you wouldn't be there, and Tara could tell you felt bad about it.
"Don't worry about it!" Mindy waved her hands nonchalantly, then turned to Tara with a teasing smile. "We get that you have bigger priorities, right, Tara?"
You still looked at the girl like a lost puppy, eagerly awaiting her reaction. Tara swallowed a sigh and forced herself to maintain a fake smile to calm her nerves. "Right. It was about time you put that brain of yours to some use."
With the girl's joke, you laughed, visibly becoming less tense as if a weight had been lifted off your shoulders. "Well, I'll see you guys tomorrow. Bye, everyone!" You waved goodbye to everyone at the table, Lottie doing the same out of politeness, and Tara watched bitterly as the two of you walked away side by side, probably heading towards the player's dorm.
"I bet 5 bucks Y/n will show up tomorrow with a massive hickey on her neck." Chad jokes, and the group laughs in response. Tara, being the only one not finding the joke funny, lets out an irritated huff and stands up, slinging her own bag over her shoulder. "Let's get going already, I want to pick the movie."
She starts walking slowly, ignoring Ethan's protests that it's his turn to choose.
The truth was: Tara just didn't want them to see how upset she was about your absence.
_
I want to stab you to death and play around with your blood.
Tara grimaced as she heard the line spoken by Christian Bale through the television, and she could see from the corner of her eye that everyone had shifted uncomfortably, relating the line to the events of the previous year.
Ethan had chosen American Psycho as the movie for the night, and Tara didn't want to protest since you weren't there for her to gauge your reactions to the film she chose. She sighed and glanced at her phone's lock screen again, hoping for a message from you saying that the tutoring had ended early and you were on your way. It never came.
She ran her hands over her face in frustration. The thought of you alone with an annoyingly beautiful girl in her room was enough to make a vein in her temple throb. What if Chad was right? What if tomorrow you showed up with a hickey on your neck, holding hands with Lottie Matthews, strolling across campus like the most beloved couple in America?
Ugh. She pressed her eyes shut to try to banish the image from her mind. When did she let her feelings for you become so... intense? It was almost humiliating to think that Tara Carpenter had gone from the girl who spent most of her time alone to the girl who couldn't stand a few hours without you.
Feeling a strange surge of pride, Tara shook her head and grabbed her phone, opening the front camera. She was having fun and definitely not sinking into miserable thoughts, right? So she had to post a picture to prove that she was perfectly happy! Of course, that had nothing to do with you, and she certainly didn't care if you saw the photo while you were busy doing who knows what with one of the most desired girls at Blackmore.
"Hey, guys! Look here real quick!" Tara alerted, and everyone shuffled to get into the selfie. Sam sat beside her with a restrained smile, Anika and Mindy were wrapped in each other's arms a bit behind the Carpenters, and Chad had an arm around Ethan's shoulders, who responded by making a peace sign with his fingers behind his roommate's head.
Tara snapped the picture and examined the result, mindlessly promising to send it to Anika when the girl asked. The younger Carpenter discreetly zoomed in on her own face, deciding if she looked pretty enough to post it or not. Satisfied, she opened Instagram and uploaded the photo as a story, adding a caption underneath. Great night with these weirdos.
After that, Tara locked her phone, trying to hypnotize herself into believing she wasn't eagerly waiting for your comment. She stared fixedly at the TV, feigning deep interest in Patrick Bateman's actions, as if she hadn't lost focus on the movie within the first twenty minutes.
5 minutes later, her phone buzzed with a notification. You had replied to her story.
Tara almost giggled and kicked her feet because of how quickly you messaged. That had to be a good sign. You wouldn't have replied so fast if you were busy doing something... or someone else. Right?
"Don't have too much fun without me." Your message read. The younger Carpenter bit her lower lip to contain a wider smile on her face.
"Never." She typed, but thought better of it and deleted it, typing out a different response. "I can't promise anything."
You read the message but didn't reply any further, probably returning to your duties as a tutor. Tara didn't complain, as she was already more than satisfied with the quick attention you gave her.
She comfortably leaned back on the couch, where she was seated between Sam and Mindy, the latter gently stroking Anika's hair, who was sitting beside her. The two boys were on the floor engaged in a heated discussion about whether Ethan was an incel or not based on his choice of movie.
Feeling more relaxed, Tara reached over to snatch some popcorn from Sam, earning a light smack and narrowed eyes in retaliation. She offered an innocent smile to her older sister, who simply rolled her eyes and placed the popcorn bucket between them, succumbing to the silent plea.
Tara could almost have forgotten she had been upset. Almost. But then her phone vibrated with another notification.
It was from your Twitter, and from the notification bar, apparently, you had tweeted "hjsuzgabasi."
She frowned, trying to figure out what the hell you were trying to say. Unlocking her phone, Tara quickly opened the Twitter app, searching for your profile so she could reply with something like "???" on your latest post.
But as she was about to comment on your tweet, she noticed the other two you had just posted.
She's soooooo prettyyy😭😭 just one chance please
Her brown eyes omg im so gay
Tara's mood instantly turned sour. Had you just tweeted about Lottie Matthews? I mean, you were with her now, and Tara vividly remembered the girl's big, enchanting brown eyes. Of course, you were tweeting about the gay panic you were probably experiencing in real life.
She sighed and stood up from the couch. "I'm gonna grab some water." Tara mumbled to justify her departure and headed to the kitchen, still holding her phone. Suddenly, the fun atmosphere she had felt for a few minutes had given way to a nauseating feeling churning in her stomach.
She turned the phone over before grabbing a glass, but her eyebrows furrowed when she realized your tweets were no longer there. Holding the device with both hands now, she refreshed your profile again, but the posts had vanished as if they were a mirage. You had probably deleted them to prevent Lottie from seeing, or something like that.
Either way, the tweets had been there, and Tara had firsthand seen your super gay panic as you probably looked at the soccer player. She hated the thought that you might be blushing right now over something Lottie said, giving one of your cute shy smiles as she ran her hand through your hair, eventually trailing down to your neck and pulling you in for...
No! Tara was already torturing herself enough without imagining what you two might be doing. She didn't need another reason to ruin her own night.
So, after downing a glass of water and trying to contain the terrible feeling spreading through her system, Tara returned to the living room dragging her feet, doing her best to force herself to enjoy the rest of the night with her friends.
She definitely wasn't caring about your stupid new crush.
_
"Ugh! If you point out one more mistake of mine, I'm going to bite your arm!" Lottie complained dramatically, leaning back in her swivel chair and turning towards you, avoiding looking at the open notebook with unsolved questions.
You chuckled at her antics. "Let's not resort to cannibalism, okay? I'd rather stay whole if I still have to finish teaching you things."
"Can we at least take a break? My brain is killing me." She didn't even wait for your response and immediately got up, heading towards her own bed and lying down without ceremony. You just shook your head with a smile and stretched your arms, still sitting in the chair. Lottie was right, after all. You both deserved a bit of rest.
Taking advantage of the break, you took your phone out of your bag pocket and quickly checked your notifications, stopping at one that made your heart race and a small smile start to form on your face.
Opening the app, you viewed Tara's story. A photo of everyone in the group (minus Quinn, who was probably at one of her flings' places) gathered in the Carpenter's living room, with happy expressions that must have come from the fun of the movie nights.
You thought for a few seconds before sending a playful response. "Don't have too much fun without me." There was a bit of truth hidden behind those words, considering you felt bad for missing out on this time with your friends, but mostly for not being there with Tara.
It had been a few years since you started developing feelings for the younger Carpenter. You had met in school in Woodsboro and grew closer when you were assigned a literature project together. Since then, Tara introduced you to her other friends and you became a significant part of her life.
She made you feel heard and appreciated, so it didn't take long for you to fall in love and get lost in the sparkle of those brown eyes. But you weren't stupid. Everyone could see that Tara Carpenter only had eyes for Amber Freeman. So you decided to take a step back and act as a good friend to Tara, painfully listening when she talked about her immense love for her girlfriend.
You even thought about moving on from her, but then the "Woodsboro Massacre" happened, you knew you couldn't leave the girl alone during such a vulnerable time. So, despite your head warning you that you would get hurt, you followed your heart and never left Tara's side for a second.
"I can't promise anything." She replied after a while, and you smiled at the familiarity of her classic sense of humor in the message. You exited the chat shortly after, returning to Tara's stories to look at the posted photo once again.
You zoomed in on the familiar face, much like a high school girl stalking her crush, and involuntarily broke into a silly smile. Tara's dark hair was loose, waves cascading over her shoulder. She had a slight smile on her face that allowed you to catch a glimpse of her adorable dimple. The photo quality was good but not enough for you to see the freckles you knew were there, on her cheeks and nose, that you wished you could someday get close enough to count with the tips of your fingers.
With your heart pounding in your chest, you decided you were feeling too many emotions to keep them to yourself. So, like a good contemporary girl, you searched for the Twitter app on your phone and prepared for a gay vent of at least 100 characters.
"Why are you so red?" Lottie asks from her spot on the bed, startling you as you had completely forgotten about her presence.
Wide-eyed, you look at her and try to come up with something. "N-nothing. Must be your imagination."
Clearly, the excuse doesn't work with Lottie, because she breaks into a teasing smile and raises her eyebrows as if she knows all your secrets. "What was it? Did Tara send you a message?"
"Shut up." You release a weak grumble and quickly turn back to your phone, tweeting the first thing that came to your mind upon seeing your best friend's earlier photo. hjsuzgabasi. Poetic.
"Come on! Don't you think it's about time you confess your feelings?" Lottie sits up straight on the bed to better analyze you. "I mean, you talk about her all the time in class. Tara this, Tara that, Tara, Tara, Tara."
"I don't want to ruin our friendship, okay?" You turn to the soccer player before sending out more tweets containing your embarrassing thoughts about the younger Carpenter. She's soooooo prettyyy😭😭 just one chance please. Her brown eyes omg im so gay
Lottie sighs and gets up, walking over to you and placing her hands affectionately on your shoulders. "Look, I might not know her as well, but if she's as good a friend as you describe, she wouldn't stop talking to you over something you can't even control."
"I know. Maybe I'll tell her someday." You speak in a hushed voice but quickly lift your head to look up at the tall girl with a playful expression. "You know, you should take your own advice and just admit you have a crush on a certain Natalie Scatorccio from your soccer team."
Her eyes widen, and she blushes deeply, pushing your swivel chair back slightly as she returns to the bed, not before flipping you off. "Shut up, you fucking loser."
You laugh at that, and Lottie joins in right after. Maybe you two weren't as close as you were with the others in your group (especially Tara), but the time you spent sitting next to each other during those tedious organic chemistry classes was enough to cultivate a great friendship.
Still chuckling a bit, you returned your gaze to your phone, and... your heart dropped into your stomach. Oh no.
"Shit, shit, shit!" You exclaim, rushing to delete the posts as quickly as possible. How could you have gotten so distracted?!
"What's wrong?" Lottie asks, alarmed, watching with a concerned expression as you hurriedly tap on your phone, looking on the verge of a nervous breakdown.
"I tweeted from my main account!" You reply with a mix of embarrassment and nervousness. "I didn't realize I wasn't on my private one, and I tweeted my gay panic about Tara's photo in a place where she can see! What do I do?!"
The taller girl walks over to you again, placing a hand in the space between your shoulders and encouraging you to take a deep breath along with her. "Calm down. Is there anything in the tweet that makes it clear it was about her?"
"Nothing specific... Damn it." You close your eyes and rest your head on the desk for a few seconds. What if Tara had seen the post, and now she's telling Sam how pathetic she thinks you are? Even worse, tonight was movie night! What if Tara had shown the tweets to everyone, and now they were all collectively laughing at you?
You pick up your phone again and open your messages, searching for Anika's contact. She and Mindy (who never let anything slide) were the only ones who had caught on to your crush on Tara and had already tried to advise you to confess your feelings, though they were still keeping the information a secret at your request. Between the two, the least likely to laugh at your current situation was the Kayoko, so you decided to beg her for help.
You

Lottie still gives you some awkward pats on your back as you turn to her fully, and you know she read everything over your shoulder when she offers a small supportive smile to try and make you feel better. You let Lottie embrace you as you close your eyes, feeling desperate tears threatening to fall.
"She doesn't like me back, does she?" You whisper into the girl's shoulder, and she squeezes you a little tighter in her hold.
"You don't know that. Try talking to her tomorrow, okay?"
Unwilling to utter any sound, you simply nod in agreement, knowing that even though the problem is only for tomorrow, you'll already feel the effects of it today.
It wasn't a good day for Tara.
The petite girl had tossed and turned in bed all night, unable to close her eyes with some inexplicable anger flooding her body. Every time she allowed herself to relax for a few seconds, the image of you being much closer to Charlotte Matthews than you should have been appeared in her mind like a bitter reminder.
And Tara could be very proud and stubborn, but she wasn't stupid. She knew perfectly well that her sour mood was out of pure jealousy and anger at herself for letting you slip through her fingers. But even though the negative feelings had their origin within herself, Tara still wasn't the best at dealing with her emotions and she knew she was making her bad mood everyone else's problem.
Unfortunately, you didn't know this when you approached her in the hallways of Blackmore University, with an apprehensive expression on your face and your heart in your hand. If Tara noticed your increasingly close presence, she didn't move a muscle to show it, but she moved plenty to walk faster, trying to cross your path without making contact.
"Hey, Tara." You stop her with a hand on her shoulder. This wasn't the best place to talk, considering you had just left a class and your classmates were spilling out into the hallway, chatting and filling the space. "Can we talk about what happened yesterday?"
"You mean the tweets?" She asks with an indifferent tone, but you knew the girl well enough to recognize the clenched jaw that hinted at a touch of irritation. "You don't need to say anything. Seriously."
"But..."
"Look, really." Tara cuts you off, crossing her arms and avoiding your gaze. You could feel the growing aggression in her voice. "I'm not in the mood to hear about it right now."
You feel your heart crack a little. It seemed like Tara didn't even want to hear you say that you liked her. Was it some sort of denial? Like if she doesn't hear the words coming out of your mouth, can she pretend your feelings don't exist?
Either way, before you could retort, a familiar voice calls your name in the hallway, and you turn to see Lottie Matthews waving in your direction. But she stops and takes on a surprised expression upon noticing Tara with you. You hear a scoff, and when you turn back, Tara is already walking away, ending the conversation without waiting for your input.
A few seconds later, Lottie arrives by your side in the hallway, looking at you cautiously. "So..."
Feeling hurt not only by Tara's apparent rejection but also by how she seemed so disturbed by the idea of your feelings for her, you simply shake your head in denial, letting tears run down your face to ease the pain you felt on the inside.
You felt Lottie pull you by the wrist towards the bathroom, probably to give you more privacy in that emotional moment, and you were thankful, but you couldn't express anything other than anguish. It felt like your whole world was spinning and falling apart in pieces.
Fuck that shitty bird social media.
_
"What's wrong with you?!"
Tara and everyone else at the table (Chad, Mindy, and Ethan) looked up in alarm as Anika's impactful entrance echoed in. She dropped her bag onto the wooden surface with a thud and was glaring specifically at Tara with frustration.
"Baby, what-" Mindy tried to speak up, but Anika raised her index finger, and her girlfriend quickly fell silent with a final okay, adhering to the "happy wife, happy life" motto.
Everyone stared at the scene apprehensively, as it was the first time they had seen Anika so upset about something. Even Tara, who had an idea of the reason for her behavior, was just staring in a state of shock and fear.
"Listen, whatever you've done to Y/n, you need to fix it now." Anika emphasized, tapping the tip of her index finger on the table for added effect. "She's been crying her eyes out in the H building's bathroom for the past 40 minutes because of some shit you pulled."
"I… I didn't mean to…" Tara stammered and closed her eyes tightly, feeling a lump in her throat forming from guilt. Once again, Tara remembered one of Sam's warnings about seeking help to better manage her emotions and quietly cursed herself. The last thing she wanted was to hurt you, but she was like a ticking time bomb of negative feelings that unfortunately exploded onto you, who didn't deserve to suffer because of Tara's actions.
"I don't care about what you wanted or didn't want." Anika speaks sternly, not breaking eye contact with Tara. "All I know is that there's a girl who would give the world to you, crying because of your unnecessary rudeness, and you need to fix that."
Tara jumps up and gathers her things quickly, nodding in affirmation and avoiding the inquisitive gazes of their friends. "Yeah… I will. I'll apologize." The others watch her hurry off towards building H, and Anika slumps with exhaustion into the seat next to Mindy, which Tara had previously occupied.
"Do you think they'll finally confess to each other?" Mindy asks, gently petting her girlfriend's head, which now rests on her shoulder.
"They better. I can't go through this again." Anika replies, closing her eyes to enjoy  the touch of her girlfriend's fingers through her hair. On the other side of the table, the guys still have wide eyes, processing what they witnessed.
"Uh… You're not gonna explain anything to us, are you?" Ethan questions, gesturing to himself and Chad with quick motions.
The two girls exchange a quick look and respond in unison. "No."
_
Tara's hands are trembling as she reaches the bathroom door.
Nausea churns within her due to the nervousness of the conversation she's about to have. She knows she'll need to explain the reason for being so rude, which means she'll have to tell you about her feelings, even though she anticipates you'll reject her since you already have someone else in your heart.
Would you at least accept remaining friends? Or had she ruined that option by preventing you from discussing your compromising tweets about Lottie earlier?
With one final sigh and a shake of her head, Tara decides to stop stalling and takes the first step to enter the restroom and get it over with.
The first thing she notices is your back turned towards her. Your silhouette makes it clear you have your arms crossed, leaning your hips against the sink so your weight rests on your left side. The second thing she sees is Charlotte Matthews standing in front of you, using a tissue to wipe your face, which Tara imagines is damp from tears.
Before she could do anything, the soccer player noticed her presence and her mouth formed an "O" shape. Looking between you and Tara, she quickly mumbles, "I'll leave you alone," and exits the restroom, causing you to glance back in questioning.
Tara feels the air being sucked out of her lungs as your eyes meet. Your eyes and nose are red, and she can still see traces of the glistening trail down your cheeks. She takes a step forward and places her hand on the sink, noticing that you're still keeping your arms crossed and prefer looking at your own sneakers rather than at her.
With a sigh, she's the first to break the silence. "I'm sorry about earlier today. I didn't want to hurt you."
"It's okay," you reply, shifting your right foot back and forth. Tara knows that's one of your signs of nervousness. "You can't control how you feel, right?"
The petite girl looks at you in shock, but you don't seem to notice, still looking down. Had she got it right? Did you know about her feelings? "That's true. Maybe I'm being selfish, but... I didn't want to ruin our friendship over this. Is that okay with you?"
You finally look at Tara. Your eyes widen, and you quickly nod. "Of course! I didn't want to lose you just because we're not on the same page. These things happen, right?"
Tara feels her heart ache at the sentence. Was that your way of gently rejecting her? "Yeah. These things happen."
A few seconds of uncomfortable silence pass, but neither of you move, fearing that any wrong move would spoil the small progress you've just made. Again, Tara, with her impatience, initiates the conversation, hating the absence of any sound. "I hope she makes you happy."
She watches as your expression changes to one of confusion, eyebrows furrowed and head tilted to the side. "What?"
"Lottie." Tara points back to where the girl had left a few minutes ago. "She seems... nice. You have good taste."
"You think I like Lottie?!" She's startled by the outraged tone of your question. You take a step closer, as if wanting to hear more clearly what she was saying.
"Wasn't it about her? The tweet you made?" Tara asks, more bewildered than you. "Pretty girl, brown eyes..."
"It was about you!" You burst out, unable to contain the information any longer. "I'm in love with you! The whole time, I was talking about you, Tara! I saw you in yesterday's photo, and you looked so beautiful that... hmph!"
You are silenced by Tara's soft lips meeting yours, initiating a passionate and much-needed kiss from both sides. Your hands descend to her waist as her hands pull you by the nape of your neck, trying to bring you impossibly closer.
Without breaking the kiss, you move clumsily until Tara's back is fully supported against the sink, your arms holding her in place by the hips. She sighs as you part for a breath, and a genuine smile forms on your face.
"Wow." You laugh and pull back slightly, just enough so that your noses are no longer touching. "I wasn't expecting that."
"I thought you knew I liked you." Tara laughs along, playing with the hair at the nape of your neck to try to ease the redness in her own face.
You gently stroke her hip with your thumb. "Is that what you were talking about earlier? I thought you were rejecting me."
"I thought you were rejecting me." She playfully nudges your chest with medium force. Tara's smile becomes a bit more subdued as she moves her hands from your nape to hold your face. "I'm sorry for being rude earlier and hurting you."
You shake your head. "It's okay. Now I know you were just jealous." Your tone is teasing, and you raise your eyebrows twice just to mess with Tara a little more.
"Shut up." She rolls her eyes, smiles, and pulls you by the wrist until you're out of the bathroom. "I'll make it up to you with some ice cream, what do you think?"
"If you throw in a few kisses in the middle of that offer, I might consider."

fem!reader x ethan landry
warnings; sexual implications, jumping to conclusions, im no good at angst, litro wrote it and posted it so spelling and grammar errors!
a/n; I hope this is what u wanted, even though I did change it a little, or at least close :p and sorry it’s like super short but I’m really not good at tear jerking angst or like tooth rotting fluff. also title inspired by this
Tumblr media
It’s been months since you met Ethan. Months of back and forth, and lingering touches at a frat parties. Compared to the troubles of your past, Ethan had become an easy constant in your life.
Through jokes of more, or Tara and her constant teasing – friendship had grown into a fit of butterflies in the pit of your stomach if he so much as glanced at you. Your friends swore it was obvious that Ethan was beginning to feel the same way; and you’d began to believe that. Now your mind is muddled with doubt, and your finger are wrapped around a solo cup a little too hard.
A ginger has her thin arms slung around Ethan’s neck, the boys back pressed to a door frame. Ethan’s hands are hovering awkwardly in the air, and he looks flustered. He really looks uncomfortable. You just can’t see past the way the girl fawns, glossy lips spreading into a charming smile as she teases him. Blush spreads across his nose bridge, and he does that thing where he chuckles, nervously tugging the hair at the nape of his neck.
Your fingers tingle at a memory the scene strikes, one wherein you straddled Ethan’s lap - and toyed with the curly hair in that same spot, lips slotted between his like a puzzle piece, breathing in his quiet whines and pleas for more.
You turn to the guy at your side, lips etching into a tight smile, before you bid a quick goodbye and head for the kitchen - tossing your full cup into the overflowing trash can and slipping out the patio door.
You’re not even out of the yard when your phone pings from your pocket, a text that has you frowning lighting up your phone
e 😵‍💫 : where r you??
and for the first time in months, you leave him on read.
Weeks of avoiding, and missed calls don’t seem to deter Ethan. He’s relentless in his efforts to get a reply from you, to the point that he has chad questions you and your reasons for ignoring his new best friend. It’s frustrating, and you actually want to laugh aloud when Mindy corners you in the bathroom, prying at you for an answer.
“He’s not as into me as you think okay, just stop pressing me” you rolled your eyes, demanding she not bring it up again. For once — Mindy actually listened to you. Or so you thought.
Walking along aisles and aisles full of textbooks and biographies, you let out a frustrated groan, glancing down to the paper in your hand and back up at the shelf. You squint at the spines, reading off titles and authors quietly until you reach the end of the section your book should be in. Crumpling the paper in your fist you spin on your heel, ready to give up when your slammed into a firm chest, and large hands wrap around your biceps.
Warmth fills your veins, and your body relaxes into the embrace on impact, eye lids fluttering closed when the scent of his after shave fills your head.
Your body collides with the books shelf, his hands caging you in, dark eyes glaring down at you. Rarely have you ever seen Ethan upset. The way his jaw clenched as he contemplates what to say to you has your breath a little uneven, and you can’t help but swoon, you’ve been without Ethan for far too long – even if you’re the reason for not seeing him.
“Why’re you telling Mindy I’m not into you?”
“ ‘cause you’re not Ethan”
“What the hell are you talking about”
“I saw you at that party with that girl, she was very pretty E, you don’t need to act like you’re into me - if you’re worried it’ll make things awkward it won’t - ”
Ethan’s brows crease, a low groan slipping past his lips “What girl? There is no girl” with the way he’s looking down at you, it’s almost easy to believe you could be with him.
“Yes there was. I thought we had some sort of agreement, or that our feelings were mutual. I should’ve expressed I’m not interested in sharing, that’s completely my fault -“
“Good god, Shutup with whatever you’re on about, and please believe me when I tell you; I’m not interested in sharing either, and whatever you think you saw was not what it looked like because I am really fucking into you”
Your lips part in shock, face flushing red, eyes widening as you stare up him, watching as his lips etch into the sly smirk you’ve been deprived of “you want me, you’ve got me” he mumbles, head tilting downwards ever so slightly, lips gently pecking yours.
“but! you can’t introduce me as your boyfriend”
you frown
“it’s gotta go like “this is my husband Ethan” or something”

a drunken kiss
pairing: amber freeman x reader
summary: in which one of amber's parties ends on a high note
warnings: ...OOC amber
word count: 860+
author's note: i've never written for amber before, but i've been really wanting to, so i hope you guys enjoy!
Tumblr media
The party was raging. People were crowded in every corner, dancing and talking and shouting. Loud, heavy music filled the air, drowning out most other sounds. Drinks were being split in peoples’ mouths and on the floor and anywhere else they could’ve been. The faint scent of weed was wafting around, coming from an easily identifiable source of a random joint in the kitchen.
Amber Freeman should’ve been enjoying herself. She was, after all, the anointed queen of throwing parties for the population of Woodsboro High, and this was probably her best yet.
However, she found herself sulking on her couch, a cup of god-knows-what clenched in her hand as her eyes were trained on two people standing in the kitchen. One of them, to her misfortune, was Chad with his stupidly charming smile and his stupidly charming eyes and his stupidly charming everything.
And the other was you.
You were smiling and laughing at the boy, batting your eyelashes and biting your bottom lip every so often, and, god, Amber swore she never hated Chad more than in that moment.
Her trance was broken when another body plopped down onto the couch beside her.
“Why the long face, Freeman?” Mindy asked.
“Why do you think?” Amber seethed, never taking her eyes away from you.
Mindy hummed as she followed the raven-haired girl’s eyeline, nodding when she saw exactly what Amber was upset about. “You shouldn’t worry about that, you know.”
Amber scoffed, taking a sip from her drink and cringing at the taste. “Yeah right. He’s wooing her with…whatever the hell Chad talks about, and she’s falling for it.”
Mindy clicked her tongue. “Wrong. Chad, currently, is talking about how much he likes our resident pink-haired idiot, Liv McKenzie, and Y/N is drunk out of her mind and nodding along with everything he says.” She shrugged. “Plus, I just happen to know that Y/N is into somebody else right now.”
Amber whipped her head toward the other girl. “What? How? Who?” She closed her eyes, shook her head, and regained her composure. “I mean, what?”
“I have sources,” came Mindy’s simple answer. She glanced to the side. “And…the object of your affections is currently headed this way. A-goodbye!” She was gone before Amber even had time to process what had just happened.
To replace Mindy’s now-empty spot, you slid into place beside Amber, a small smile on your lips and wide eyes staring up at the raven-haired girl. “Hi, Ambs,” you greeted softly.
“Hey. Enjoying the party?” she asked with her own grin.
“It was kind of lacking before, but…” you trailed off, smiling wider, “it’s definitely better now.”
“Oh really?” She tried to ignore the stirring feeling in her stomach, and she tried to force down the blush that was threatening to take over her cheeks, but by the sound of your giggle, she knew she had failed at the latter.
“You’re cute, you know that?”
Amber blinked once, then twice. “And you’re really drunk, aren’t you?”
You shrugged. “Mayhaps.” You leaned back against the cushions, eyes now focused on the people surrounding you, but Amber couldn’t seem to draw her attention away from you. “You throw great parties, Ambs.”
“Thank you,” she said quickly. “I’m glad you like ‘em.”
“Yeah, but…you know, the free drinks and good music and great vibes aren’t the only reason I come.” You glanced toward her, biting at the inside of your cheek, and then, to Amber’s surprise, you rested your chin on her shoulder so that you could look at her. She tensed beneath your touch and gulped, unsure of where her usually cool demeanor had fled to. “I could get all of that stuff anywhere, really,” you said, breath fanning against the skin of Amber’s cheek.
“So why bother coming then?” she asked.
You chuckled, and Amber could feel it vibrating through her bones. “Because, silly, no other parties have you, and what’s the fun in that?”
Amber’s eyes widened and she inhaled a sharp breath. “You come…for me?”
“Well, obviously. Have you not picked up on that part yet?”
The raven-haired girl opened her mouth, closed it, opened it again, closed it, and then finally settled on, “Oh.”
You laughed. “Is it…okay….that I only come for you?” you asked.
Amber nodded quickly. “Yeah.”
“So, would it be okay if I…I dunno…kissed you?” Your eyes fluttered down to her lips, and Amber couldn’t help herself as she drew her tongue across her bottom one.
“Definitely,” she breathed out.
You leaned up, and she leaned down, and you met in the middle. Amber could taste the beer on your lips, but she could feel the plushness of them, the gentleness, the smile that came toward the end, when you couldn’t help the joy that overtook you.
When she pulled away, because you were all toothy-grin and giggles, your eyes were still closed, and she laughed a little. She brought her hand to your chin, used her thumb to wipe away some lipstick she had gotten on the skin below your bottom lip, and then your eyes slowly opened.
“I’ve been waiting for that,” you confessed.
“Oh yeah?” she teased. “Well, me too.”

You're in the middle of grocery shopping when your phone vibrates in your pocket, disrupting the music playing from your earbuds. You pull out your phone from your back pocket, looking at the screen before pursing your lip.
You debate whether to answer it or not, but the lingering anxiety under your skin doesn't allow you to ignore it.
With a puff of a quiet sigh, you answer. "Hey, Sam," you greet, slightly wary.
"Hey," Sam greets back, and through the phone, you can hear the rain outside, and you know she must be standing near a window. There's a rumble of thunder, and your heart drops, knowing why she's called. "Listen, I wouldn't call you unless it was—"
"The last resort?" You finish her sentence and hear a resigned sigh on the other end. "Sam, I can't keep doing this—not after everything Tara put me through."
"I know," the words are terse, and you can practically hear Sam swallowing. "But no one can calm her down. Please—" Sam's voice is pleading desperately. "The neighbors are going to complain, and the landlord isn't exactly thrilled with us."
You pinch the bridge of your nose, taking a deep breath. Thunder rumbles, and you hear noises in the background, sighing in resignation, abandoning your grocery-filled cart. "Fine, I'll be there in 15 minutes."

You're mostly dry when Mindy lets you through the door as you bring an umbrella.
"Hey, stranger," Mindy greets you with a lopsided smile that seems sad. "Nice to see your face."
"Nice to see yours, too," you give a small smile back. It was good to see Mindy, you admit. Her witty and charming personality had been refreshing to be around. You grin. "Well, mostly."
"Fuck you," Mindy's smile turns amused. "My face could cure any ailment."
"Considering you got stabbed six months ago, I'll let you have that."
Mindy snorts as you walk through the apartment. You see Chad hanging by a bedroom door, and you give him a terse smile that he returns.
"Are they in there?" You ask, and Chad nods, looking reluctant to tell you.
"Yeah," Chad's jaw is clenched. "We've been trying to get her to sit down but she refuses."
You nod, running your hand through your hair nervously as you step past him, pushing the door open.
"Tara, please, just sit down. It's just a little thunder, is all," You see Sam immediately, and Tara's standing far from the window, pacing back and forth with tears running down her face as she cries, looking manic.
Sam notices you immediately, relief on her face, and you nod at her. She touches your shoulder, asking if you want to be alone.
Your first instinct is to say no, but you can't bear having Sam witness what's about to happen. So, you nod, trying to appear less tense. Sam notices, anyway, giving you an apologetic look before she exits the room.
Tara doesn't even notice you initially, and you feel rooted in where you stand. But then, a white flash fills the room, and Tara looks at the window terrified, and you know you only have seconds before she starts screaming.
"Tara," you say, forcing your voice to be louder than the rain. The sound of your voice snaps Tara's attention to you. Her eyes instantly well up at the sight of you as she rushes across the room toward you, throwing her arms around your waist as she holds you tightly.
Your arms automatically return her hold, embracing her tenaciously in a way you know makes her feel safe.
Her face is pressed into your neck, and you can feel the dampness of her eyes. Your name keeps falling from her lips repeatedly as she grasps at the back of your shirt.
"Tara," you whisper, and she can only hear it through the vibration against her temple. "Tara, it's okay. I'm here."
"I'm sorry," Tara chokes out. "I'm so, so sorry."
You swallow harshly, clenching your jaw as if it will ease the pain you feel in your chest. You know Tara's not apologizing for making you come here tonight. She's apologizing for the fact you're not here in the first place.
Tara's saying sorry for accusing you so harshly that you were Ghostface. There was a part of you that understood it and forgave her for it, knowing the circumstances of her life and the fact that you're never supposed to trust the love interest.
Tara's saying sorry for leaving you with a broken heart instead of letting you prove it wasn't you—and you would've done anything to prove it if you were given a chance.
"It's okay," you rub her back soothingly to calm her down.
But it wasn't.
"That doesn't matter."
At least, right now, it didn't.
You walk with Tara in your arms, guiding her to her bed. She almost refuses to leave your arms, but you keep your hands on her as you climb into bed beside her. You lift your arm over her shoulder and pull her close as she rests her cheek against your collarbone.
Tara is still crying as she adjusts and rests on her side, pressed against you. Her eyes are closed from exhaustion, but she refuses to sleep. Her brain is running amuck between fear of the thunderstorm and fear of you being gone when she wakes up.
Tara knew it wasn't fair to you, but all she could do was think about how to keep you here and get you back.
"I'm sorry."
"I know."
"I miss you."
"Me too," you reluctantly admit with a sigh.
"I know it's my fault," Tara whispers, "but I don't want to be without you."
You lean your head back, telling yourself to forget everything for now and enjoy holding someone you still love, even if they broke your heart.
"Let's just talk after the thunderstorm, okay?"
Tara's hand moves to yours and grasp it, feeling better that you don't pull away. "Okay."

Man, Myth, Legend
Tumblr media
You waited and waited and waited some more until Jethro’s voicemail began playing.
“He thinks he’s so clever,” you grumbled to yourself as you sent him a text. Not like he would respond back but at least your two cents was thrown in there.
It was bad enough he made you stay behind with Tony instead of joining him, Ziva and McGee to his HOMETOWN. But now he wants to ignore your calls too? Granted, the calls would have only been you pestering him with all kinds of questions but nevertheless, he should still pick up the phone. What if you were in danger?!
“C’mon Probie. Let’s see if Abby has anything for us,” DiNozzo stated while walking by.
You locked your phone and huffed in annoyance before joining him in the elevator.
“You can stop calling me that Tony. I’ve been working with you guys for like a year now.”
“I know. But I just love how much it bugs you.”
You rolled your eyes at his teasing and followed after him once the doors opened.
Abby gave you two the rundown on the blood analysis before McGee’s face popped up on her screen.
“Gibbs has a father!”
You ran over with Tony while they gave all of you the much needed info on the Gibbses. Jethro had told you he grew up in Stillwater and wasn’t exactly the towns poster child but he never really spoke more than that, let alone about his father.
“I’m coming. I’m leaving,” Tony stuttered.
“Well you’re not going without me,” you added.
“Not unless you’ve found a way that people in town might have thought Ethan LaCombe was alive,” McGee answered right back.”
————
You and Tony sat in the Bullpen, throwing different questions each others way as you wanted for your next orders.
“So do you think he like got ran out of town and that’s why he hasn’t been back?” Tony asked, tapping a pen against his mouth in thought.
“I don’t know but I wouldn’t put it past him if it were true. Do you think his high school girlfriends still live there?”
Tony gave you a puzzled look which you quickly defended.
“I mean I’m just curious since most small town people don’t really move out past their county.”
“I doubt he’s dinner dating with any of his past flings probie. Plus, how is it you don’t know anything about Gibb’s past but you two are together?”
“You know he doesn’t talk much. Especially about his past. It was like pulling teeth when I asked him where he was born!”
As if his ears were burning, your phone began ringing as Jethro’s face popped up on your screen. Making a face for Tony to be quiet, you answered.
“Oh, look at that, you know how to call people all of a sudden.”
“I was busy. Talking with people,” he justified.
“People like your dad? Or the townspeople? McGee said you’re already ruffling feathers.”
“Well McGee needs to stop gossiping. I talked with Chad Winslow and his family. They’re hiding something. I want you and DiNozzo to get a search warrant together for blood samples and financial records.”
“Uh. A please would be nice.”
“Please. Honey,” he charmed, making you smile like a school girl. You’d do anything for him if he added those words afterwards.
“Much better. I’m assuming you won’t be home tonight?”
“No. We’ve got a lot of work to do here and I don’t see anyone being cooperative any time soon.”
You silently pouted but Jethro knew you like the back of his hand.
“Don’t pout. You, Abby and DiNozzo can come tomorrow afternoon. We’ll need help executing those warrants once they’re approved and Abby will need to examine the blood quickly.”
You beamed with excitement, catching Tony’s attention. You both said your goodbyes and Tony came over to give you a high five.
“I’m driving though. You suck at obeying the speed limit,” he established.
“That doesn’t count! Baskin Robbin’s was closing in 10 minutes and you encouraged me!”
————
We pulled up to the scene of the crime as smoke was still slowly coming from the wreckage. Thank God no one was in the car when it exploded. Jethro hasn’t even been in town more than 2 days and people are already trying to blow him up!
You gave McGee and Ziva a greeting before following Tony in the little store. It was stuffy and warm but the place was cute with all the natural lighting and small town vibes.
You and Tony saw an older man standing behind the register whom you could only assume was Jethro’s dad based on the eyes.
Just as Tony went to introduce himself, Jethro came from the back and interrupted. As they both talked, you made your way over to the counter.
“Hi, I’m Y/N.”
“Jackson Gibbs. Leroy told me about you but he left out just how stunning you were,” he flirted as you two shook hands.
“I see where Jethro gets his charm from.” you two chuckled together before Jethro came over looking displeased.
We took the rental to Jackson’s house as he led us to the garage where the most beautiful Dodge Charger sat.
“That’s right. I said we.”
You hopped in the backseat as Jethro peeled out onto the street like a bat out of hell, passing the shocked faces of the team and sporting the biggest grin on his face.
At the Winslow house, Jethro advised you to stay behind with Senior.
“Fine by me. Someone’s got to tell me what the great Leroy Jethro Gibbs was like as a kid,” you jested as he rolled his eyes and shook his head.
You sat on the porch steps with Jackson as he started the conversation first.
“I’m glad Leroy found someone again. You know after Shannon and Kelly, I thought he’d never find love again. But you seem to make him happy.”
“I try. And he makes me happy. It hasn’t been years but I think we’re good for each other.”
“I just don’t understand how you two even came about. Someone like you, so beautiful and elegant should be dating someone similar. Like that DiNozzo guy.”
You laughed at the thought of you and Tony together.
“Jethro is much more sensitive and approachable than people think. And Tony? No, he’s far too..rockstar for me. Jethro just has that personality that grounds you and uplifts you at the same time. I’ve never felt it with anyone before.”
“Spoken like someone truly in love,” he stated with a smile.
You blushed at the thought and you two continued talking until it was time to leave.
Back at the store, McGee and Abby went over their findings as you stood next to Jethro, your hand brushing against his. You saw a small smirk appear on his face as he listened.
It wasn’t long before you guys had enough evidence to arrest Nick Kingston and his 2 accomplices and telling the awkward news of Ethan being Emily’s brother. You all stayed the night at Jackson’s place as he told you all stories of his great adventures before leaving the next morning.
“You’ve got a good one here Leroy. Don’t let her go,” Jackson praised to his son as he looked at you.
“Oh I don’t plan on it.”
You gave Jackson a farewell hug as he gave the Charger keys to Jethro and stuck your tongue out at Tony when you were the chosen passenger.
In the car, you pulled him in for a kiss and smiled. “I like your dad. We should come see him again soon.”
Jethro just shook his head and smiled before driving off.

Coming to your boyfriend’s place to study had sounded great a few hours ago, you’d get things done with someone to hold you accountable and it just so happened to be your favorite guy.
You had gotten here around an hour ago and had grown to seriously regret this decision, it’s like Chad felt it whenever your pencil hit the paper.
“Baby, should we get pizza from Leo’s or Luna’s?” he asked, mindlessly leaning down to place his chin on your shoulder for what felt like the hundredth time. “Chad, sweetheart, I honestly don’t know the difference” You shrugged slightly, not wanting him to think you were shoving him off as you wrote down another note for your essay.
He sighed, not because of your answer but because he wanted you to ask what was wrong, but you continued writing down what mattered and resumed reading from the website on your laptop.
Sigh, you managed to fight off the smile on your face and remained stoic as Chad sighed a second time, he stood up straight just to move to your other side and place his chin on your left shoulder this time.
“Siiighhh” This time you didn’t bother to hide your smile or your laugh as he dramatically spoke. Chad smiled at the sound of your laughter, placing a sweet kiss on your cheek before standing up and walking to his bed to get his phone and order your pizza.
A few moments of attempting to focus had passed and now it was your turn to sigh as you set down your notebook, “okay, you’ve done it, I officially cannot focus due to my boyfriend’s face floating around in my mind” you said dramatically, turning the chair to smile at Chad as he laughed, fist bumping the air in victory.
“Let’s go get our pizza, baby,” He said happily, standing from his spot on the floor that he had taken to be as close as possible, you took his hand, using it to pull yourself up from his desk chair and closing your laptop, smiling at how he brought the back of your hand to his lips.
“We’ll keep studying when we’re done eating,” Chad said in a matter-of-fact tone, grabbing his keys. You rolled your eyes, smiling.
“Whatever you say, Charming” you responded, happily following him out of his room.
“You’re an awful study buddy, you know that?” “I’m a fantastic study buddy!”

The music was loud, the house stank like alcohol and sweat and your head was buzzing a little bit as you made your way through the immovable people standing on your way to the kitchen. You had lost sight of your roommate since the moment you two had come in through the door. College parties, especially frat parties, were painted way more glamorous than what they really were, but it wasn't like you were having a bad time.
You hadn’t had a single drop of alcohol in the whole night, a good decision considering how overwhelmed you were now, but you also weren’t paying attention. Your absolute lack of interest was the reason why you didn’t notice the way you instantly caught the eye of a certain cowboy while you were on your way to the kitchen. With a smile to his friend, Chad left Ethan on his own once he had come to the conclusion that he needed to talk to you and find out who you were.
He spotted you instantly once he came into the kitchen — it wasn’t too difficult, considering that by now the people were too wasted to drag their asses into the kitchen for more alcohol. Apart from you, sitting in the counter with an empty but cold can of coke against your forehead, two sheepish frat guys were there as well, laying on the floor and blabbering about things Chad couldn’t care less about. When your beautiful eyes landed on him, he felt his heartbeat quicken, like a middle school boy.
“Hey.” Chad said, smiling brightly, and to play it cool he started making himself a drink with the half empty vodka bottles in the center table.
You eyed him up and down, a little smile slipping into your lips. “Howdy, stranger.” You finally said, tilting your head while grabbing your own cowboy hat. It was a simple and basic costume, but it was cute and certainly made you look good.
Chad’s smile grew wider. “Cool costume.”
A little chuckle came out of your mouth, making you look down as you started dandling your feet, with your hands kept safe under your thighs, the can long forgotten by your side. You didn’t give an answer, but the silence — stained by the noise and music outside — was comfortable enough for Chad to keep going.
“You want a drink?” He asked, his hand already holding his cup, and lightly gesturing towards the vodka.
“So soon?” You teased, more because you weren’t about to let him be the only charming one than because of you not liking him — you did. He was cute, and looked really nice and even funny. “You don’t even know my favorite color.”
His smile was so genuine, so nice. “Do I need to know it to get you a drink?”
“Or at least my zodiac sign.” You said while tilting your head, so the hat wouldn’t cover your view of him. Then, you added rather gloomy, “What if I were a scorpio?”
“I like scorpios.” Chad answered quickly, then took a sip of his drink. His face started to hurt from smiling.
“What if I weren’t a scorpio?”
Chad couldn’t help but chuckle at your speed. “I’d like that too.”
You laughed with him, genuinely enjoying that flirting with him. He really did seem like a sweet guy, so after joining your hands on your lap, you said, “Great. Then you can get me a drink.”
“So soon?” He said, eyebrows lifting as he mimicked you. You bursted out laughing, the sweetest sound he had ever heard. “You don’t even know my name.”
You tilted your head again, to the other side, and held back the little smile blossoming on your lips. “You look like you have a cool name.”
“I do?”
“Yeah, like Rex or Max. Something like that.”
Chad raised an eyebrow. “Those are dog names.”
“Then what’s your name?” You asked with a little laugh.
“Chad.”
“Chad.” You repeated softly, and he found himself adoring the way you said it — God, was he down bad, and with no explanation other than your charm. You smiled. “It first you.”
He came a little bit closer to you, leaning against the counter but letting you space to breathe, move, be comfortable. You appreciated that. “You’re not telling me yours?”
Before you could even answer, your name was called out from the hallways, prompting you to jump down from the counter and take a few steps to the door. You eased up when you saw your roommate walking your way with a dumb, loving smile in her face that gave away her intoxicated state instantly.
When she came in, she wrapped her arm around your shoulders and hugged you loosely, and Chad feared you were already taken — had he misinterpreted your kindness for flirting? He hoped not.
Your friend looked up and her eyes widened slightly when he saw Chad there, shirtless, and looking at you two rather cautiously. “Oh.” She said with a sweet smile, waving her hand slightly. “Hi.”
Before Chad could do more than smile at her, you squeezed the hand around your shoulders. “You’re drunk. We’re going home, uhm?”
“Alright.” Your roommate muttered rather hesitantly, but still smiling.
Still keeping her arm around your shoulders, you turned to Chad with an apologetic smile. “Sorry. You’ll buy me that drink another time, Chad. I have to take my friend here home.”
“Of course.” Chad smiled, because you were promising to see him again. You also weren’t a couple. “Do you need someone to walk you guys?”
“Oh, it’s alright.” You assured, your smile growing wider because of his sweetness. “We don’t live far. See ya.”
“Wait, wait!” Chad moved closer to you as soon as you started moving towards the door, making you raise an eyebrow. “Give me your number?”  He tried that flirty smile on.
You chuckled slightly. “If it’s meant to be we’ll meet again, don’t ya think?”
Rushing your friend out of the kitchen, you two disappeared in the crowd of people and Chad stood there, dumbfounded, hand around his drink and with the silliest smile on his face. He really fucking hope it was meant to be.

Chad charming and his grandpa (let's just robert) headcanons?
So, I've never actually thought about the relationship between Chad and his grandfather before. I never even imagined them interacting. I guess I kind of assumed he died, maybe?
Well, let's see if I can think of any:
So, Chad's grandfather always wanted grandchildren. Finally, he got one, just one: Chad.
(I know there's also Chloe Charming, but I'm not including her because The Pocketwatch isn't out yet so technically she doesn't exist yet and also I have absolutely no clue what she's like. Because she doesn't exist yet.)
So Chad would have been the apple of his grandfather's eye. King Charming (Robert? Robert.) would have doted on Chad and indulged his every whim.
(This actually may explain why Chad acts like he's so entitled to everything. Because his grandfather, well-meaning and unintentionally, unwittingly taught him that. Combined with the fact that Cinderella's only model for "good" parenting was how Lady Tremaine raised Anastasia and Drizella...)
Robert also would take breaks from his kingly duties to play games with Chad, no matter what was going on, saying that his family, his grandson, his heir came first. He would go horseback riding with him, teach him games like chess and checkers; when Chad got a bit older he helped him learn how to sword fight, how to "be a hero!"
That's all I've got.

@chrmiing asked: " you can win the battle, but you'll never win the war." ( jay + chad )
( a guts ask meme isn't a bad idea, right? )
Tumblr media
Jay raised a brow at Chad, arms going to cross over his chest. "Oh really, is that so, Charming? Because I like to think I've won both." He puffed out his chest a little, pride taking over. "I'm on the Tourney and the R.O.A.R. team, got Lonnie on as captain of the latter, took the girl I wanted to to the dance, and helped my friends save Auradon not one, not two, but three times ..." Eyebrow raised further as smug look crossed his face. "What exactly have you won?"

Secret admirer
You make the final choice in relation to your secret admirer after the revelation of their motivations.
Amber Freeman x GN!/Fem!Reader(no pronouns but for sapphics)
Warnings: creepy behavior, stalking, cursing, usual Ghostface behavior, a little bit of trust issues, being "attacked" but not harmed, mentions of murder and violence(no big description tho), a little suggestive in the end(as a treat ;) )
a/n: Part 3. I didn't proof-read it. I had to divide it three parts bc I thought it was still too long, so this is the last and shortest one.
Part 1 Part 2 Part 3
Tumblr media
You close your eyes, trying to make sense of everything and calm your mind, that was still taking in her whole monologue. You regain awareness of your body, finally noticing the hand on your hip. The sensation clouded your thoughts again. You open your eyes, feeling her breath mingling with yours. With a deep exhale, you finally speak, "Wait, so..." you start, sounding a bit breathless and confused, "you sent me all those letters? And you attacked Tara, and killed that guy? I don't get it, why did you do all of this?" If her goal was to make you a little scared, there was a whole collection of horror movies waiting for the two of you.
"Because it wasn't enough," she explained with passion, trying to get you to understand her, the side of her that was still new to you. "I needed you closer. I needed you to need me. And only me. Not Tara, not Mindy, or Wes, or Chad," with that, you understand the first attack. She noticed you were getting closer to Tara, but she couldn't go all the way, or you wouldn't forgive her. Or be scared of her, instead of looking for her to protect you. That's not what she wanted. She just had to show you Tara was vulnerable, and couldn't keep you safe like she could.
"And come one, didn't you enjoy it? My gifts, my letters, even the creepy ones?" She asks you with that wicked, charming smirk imprinted on her face again.
"I stopped answering you because I was scared," you emphasize your words. "Because I knew someone was watching me, and I was worried I'd get hurt, or kidnapped or worse," your tone escalates, and your gaze is locked on hers.
"Because you didn't know it was me! But now you do," that smirk won't leave her face, and curse you for your taste, because you love the way she looks right now. "Do you really hate that I was the one keeping an eye on you? That I knew you so fucking well, maybe even better than you know yourself, that I gave you exactly what you wanted and needed?" She asks, and you can tell it's a genuine question.
But you can't bring yourself to answer her, not without judging yourself for it. You know you shouldn't admit it. You know you shouldn't give her the satisfaction. But why would you lie? The anger had mostly passed, and you still loved her. And you didn't even hate it. It felt good, to love and to be loved by her. Most people would beg for an ounce of the effort she puts into you. Who else would kill someone to protect you? Who else would watch over you, and get you out of uncomfortable situations without hesitation, and stay up late to comfort you when you're scared, always being there for you? Who else would remember every single one of your favorite books and movies, listen to every word you say, and be this devoted to you? Who else would become a fucking serial killer just because they love you so much?
She laughs, clearly amused by your silent answer. "See? I'm right. You love it," She's so pleased with herself. You close your eyes in defeat, earning a giggle from the girl. "I know that..." she brings her free hand to your face, brushing your hair behind your ear with a careful, gentle touch. Everything about her was two opposites extremes, "because I know you," she smiles, tilting her head to the side. She carefully gets closer to you, her body softly pressing against yours. "C'mon, baby, just admit it."
You see no point in resisting her any longer. It might've been a sick way to get you, but she wasn't wrong: you loved it. From the mysterious letters to the depth of her devotion. And now that you knew it was her, you weren't so scared anymore. You never got hurt. On the contrary. Everything she had done only kept you safe. And it worked like a love spell, captivating you.
"You're insane," your eyes meet hers, and she once again pretends to be offended by your comment. "But I love you," you confess in surrender, making her smile grow wider. She is clearly pleased with the answer she earned from you. "Can you drop the knife now?" The tension in your body gradually dissipates.
She chuckles, dropping the weapon to the floor. She might be the one in control, but she depends on you. To you, she's harmless.
Hesitantly, you bring your hands up, placing them on the nape of her neck. Your eyes are still locked, and this time, your heart races for a good reason. Her expression is softer, satisfied, yet with a remaining trace of venom. Just how you like it. "You're not gonna hurt me, right?" You had enough proof, but you wanted her to admit it again. She loved the way you sounded sweet and vulnerable.
"Never, baby," her voice is tinged with tenderness, and she places a kiss at the top of your cheek, her hands finding your waist. "Not unless you want me to," she adds, teasing you. With the terror melting away, you finally let out a soft laugh. Amber's attention is focused on your smile, and you notice that.
Gently, you bring her face closer, taking your time to connect your lips. Impatiently, she leans closer, kissing you as her hands pull your body against hers. She smiles against your lips, satisfied for finally getting what she wanted for so long. And you reciprocate it.
The two of you get lost in the moment, her lips staining with passion and satisfaction the memories of the scary scene she just made you experience. Now that you know the source of your fears is Amber, you can enjoy the frightening and exhilarating sensations that come with that. This might be what it feels like to enjoy horror movies, but better. Because right now, you could feel her lips on yours. You feel her hands on your lower back and hip, yours entangled in her hair, and your bodies pressing against each other. You never expected your night to turn out like that, especially not when you were crying for your life just a few minutes ago. But wasn't it worth it?
All the desires and feelings you bottled up for so long were finally spilling out, clear in the way your intensity increased. Amber took that as a silent confirmation of your craving for her, the delight of the achievement consuming her. Knowing how much you wanted, and needed her, filled her with a sense of accomplishment. And she was determined to keep that feeling alive.
Momentarily breaking the kiss, her lips trail down to your jawline. Your left hand grips her arm, pulling her even closer as you giggle in satisfaction. You can feel her smile on your skin, your reaction to her kisses pleasing her, as she continues to leave kisses on your jawline, slowly reaching your neck.
Snapping you out of your trance, the sound of your phone ringing causes Amber to groan, displeased with the unfortunate interruption. She moves away from your neck, scanning your expression. "This time it's not me," she teases, feigning innocence.
You playfully scoff, reluctantly pulling away from her and leaning down to grab your phone, that was still on the floor. It was your mom. Amber attentively observes you as you pick up the call.
"Mom?" mindlessly heading to the kitchen, you wonder why she was calling you.
"Hi, sweety," the familiar voice speaks on the phone. "Did you get home safe? Is everything alright? I didn't want to leave you alone, but I had that meeting, I just wanted to make sure you were okay."
You look over your shoulder at Amber, who was picking up her mask and knife from the floor. "Uhm, yeah, everything's fine," Amber looks at you with curiosity and a hint of gratefulness. "Amber's here," you catch the girl's attention again, "I didn't wanna be alone so I asked her to come over. Can she stay for dinner?" Your request earns a smile from Amber as she walks towards you, placing her items on the kitchen counter.
"Oh, she's there? Of course, sweetheart, I'll get home soon," your mom sounds pleased with the idea. Obviously because she doesn't know the whole story. But she wouldn't get it. "Amber's a good girl, I like her," she adds.
Her words make you chuckle, and Amber, overhearing the conversation, tilts her head to the side in amusement. "I also think that," you smile, playfully teasing the girl in front of you, despite the truth in your statement.
Once the call ends, Amber can't hide the satisfaction on her face. "I'm a good girl?" she continues to tease you, making you giggle.
"Amber, don't start," you don't resist the urge, kissing her once more. "You better hide this whole costume or you'll lose your nice reputation with my mom," Amber nods, pretending to be concerned.
You look at the box she sent you earlier, then look at her with a pout and annoyed expression, "I can't believe you cut my favorite plushie's head off. That's cruel."
She gives you a mockingly apologetic look, "don't worry, babe, I'll fix it."
The both of you put away the props from Amber's staged attack, hiding the traces of Ghostface's appearance. You would never give away her identity, not now that you knew you had Ghostface infatuated with you. In return, you mentally vowed to protect Amber too, in your own way. With that, she maintained her cool and careless attitude around your friends, her sweet and caring image around your family, and her obsessive, devoted and endlessly loving demeanor with you, and you only.
