In the spirit of Halloween, it's favorite horror/spooky/Halloween special movie headcanons for the MadCom + Mandela funkers (Including some OCs because I feel the need to)

Starting with MadCom:

2BDamned/Doc !!

I feel like his favorite movie would be something like Frankenweenie or TNBC, his favorite characters being Victor and Finklestein of course. Silly Frankenstein makers y'know.

Hank J. Wimbleton !!

Probably a slasher film like Friday the 13th, he'd root for the villains though, obviously. They wouldn't even flinch at any of the jump scares, it'd just be a happy lil' film for them. But don't let that fool you, he would definitely snuggle up close to Doc on the couch with a nice blanket n' get comfy.

Deimos !! + Tricky (?)

I'm going to be blunt here. The SpongeBob SquarePants Halloween specials. They would fucking love those. I'd like to think it's one of the one things they'd get along with. They'd sit down on Doc's carpet shoveling candy in their mouths with Sanford, watching the screen quite intently. Tricky would probably lay on its stomach on the carpet and kick his feet like a child, but everyone would be happy watching that silly little cartoon together. Even if it was a bit boring for everyone but Dei n' Trickster.

Sanford (mentioning Deimos again for this one)

I think Sanford would enjoy subtle horror much more. So, he and Deimos would stay up after everyone goes to sleep, quietly looking through obscure horror videos on YouTube on the couch with a bowl of popcorn and a few sodas, mostly Dr. Peppers and cherry colas. Just enjoying their quiet time together, cuddling in the dim living room, (a probably stolen) dimmed tablet being some of the only light keeping them awake. I don't think Dei would handle jump scares very well, so he'd end up snuggling up close to Sanford and falling asleep not too much later.

Sheriff

No. Horror is a big, fat "No" from him.

Stygian, Conductor, Deliberator, and the Auditor.

They all love watching low budget horror films and laughing at the cheap scares the creators tried to pull. All in all, there's not much that'll scare them in those, but they still have fun watching them anyways, especially since it serves as a nice break for all of them.

Church + Jorge

They don't quite *understand* horror media. In fact, it's like showing The Conjuring to a toddler. They'd be paranoid for a while, which is quite hilarious for G0L3Ms like them.

Burger Gil + Dr. Skinner

They watched Night of the Living Dead on a small projector in the break room on Gil's break probably, so now it's a comfort movie for both of them, now that Nevada is practically its own form of hell. They probably crack jokes at the fact that they're both "the living dead" in their own right, along with most of Nevada's population.

Phobos + Dr. C. (for reference, his name is Corvis in my AU !! c: )

Phobos was never quite a fan of horror, actually he found it boring and cheesy. But the director never really was a fan of much o' anything in reality, he was too interested in achieving his godhood or whatever his twisted mind was set on with Project Nexus at his disposal. But when Corvis showed him some of chirp's favorite movies, he couldn't help but adore them. The simplicity that seemed to make his little love bird so happy. Something that ViVi was so infatuated with that it was almost as high on feather's list of things he held dear as the director himself was, that his room was full of movie posters and memorabilia. It was such an insignificant thing in Nevada's vast ruins and dusty plains, but it made Cor' happy. So, it made that demented man just a bit happier himself.

Jebus/Jebediah

He loves all of the classics, honestly. (Because he's old.) They make him feel more comforted and nostalgic, which puts him in a nicer mood when he needs a pick-me-up.

R0S3W00D

They fucking love Halloween specials and horror of any kind. They probably watched a lot of low budget movies with the Auditor, trying to stay on his good side after many misdemeanors against its agency. But they definitely have more fond memories of watching movies with their work partner.

PROJECT: H0_N3Y_C0_MB/H0N3Y

They barely remember their real name. However, they have faint memories of Dr. Skinner and their main caretaker at the asylum showing them different movies. Of course, they barely registered those, so it'd be a lost cause for them to try and pick a favorite unfortunately.

Anything with clowns in it, so IT is a no-brainer.

Gooey Hank

Surprisingly not much of a horror fan, but he's starting to give horror a try :]

Webcore Hank

All the movies he tries to watch are too corrupted for glitch to enjoy, unfortunately.

I feel like Cesar would've been a fan of The Nightmare Before Christmas or Corpse Bride if he'd lived to see them. Out of actual horror movies, I could see him being a big fan of Pet Cemetary. Alternate Cesar however, Honestly, I doubt it has many opinions on horror movies. They just think it's pathetic that humans are scared by those things and their cheap scare tactics.

Mark Heathcliff

Horror movies...yeesh...he doesn't handle those well. Even if they aren't made that well, they tend to make his paranoia run wild so he'd rather avoid them. Cesar definitely tried to stay up to watch horror movies with him at a sleepover when they were kids, only for him to hide under his blankets and, honestly - probably cry about it. He is, in fact, not a horror fan.

obviously gotta start with these two, respect for the elderly and all that

- divorced but it's complicated

- they started out as roommates while Doc was in college and Hank, unbeknownst to Doc at the time, was just getting started at being a menace to society

- they were close. a little too close. but nothing ever came of it aside from a mutual pining

- when Doc began working for the Agency/Nexus it drew a hard line between them. both believed they were doing what was right and that the other was a lost cause

- it turned into a physical fight and Hank did in fact leave Doc for dead

- he got better dw

- fast forward a few years, Doc has swapped sides and is incapable of admitting he was wrong

- Hank is not even a little bit sorry because in his mind it was deserved at the time

- they're different people now though and they both know that. the past is in the past. the world keeps turning

- their relationship has moved beyond platonic since but it's still complicated. they don't have the luxury of deep "what are we" conversations or quality time spent together unless Hank is injured

- regardless, Hank spends whatever downtime he does have in Doc's personal space. he's the type of guy that will just loom over you silently while you're working and patiently wait for Doc to pay attention to him

- Doc still keeps things professional for the sake of professionalism. his guard is only ever truly down when they've retired for the night and he can give Hank every drop of attention he craves

- Hank finds physical touch grounding so on days when his head is a mess and all his thoughts sound like they're underwater, he'll drape himself over Doc's shoulders and try to map out the sensation of him for a while

- "Wimbleton" is as close to a pet name as Doc will ever get. if he uses Hank's first name it's usually when he's mad/annoyed

- Hank doesn't necessarily bite Doc but he's got this weird form of cute aggression that makes him want to put his teeth on him

Hankmos:

yeah I already did this in the last post so what

- their first meeting was the equivalent of finding a wet kitten at the scene of a car accident

- Deimos hadn't yet made a name for himself but was well on his way, torching every stitch of AAHW property he could get his hands on (pyrokinesis Deimos my beloved)

- Hank was sent to raid a cloning facility when it happened. the entire place had gone up in flames and was little more than smoldering debris by the time he got there. he was there to kill everything that moved so of course he had to parse through said debris for any survivors

- what he found was a scrawny fucked up little dude passed out at the center of it all, completely unharmed, the only sign he'd been involved in the fire being the singed remains of his clothes

- interesting enough for Hank to not kill him despite being visibly a clone. instead he wraps Deimos's tiny ass up in his trenchcoat and brings him back to base

- Deimos still wears said trenchcoat because he's a fanboy and nothing will change that

- which also means he glues himself to Hank's hip from day one, not being a nuisance but always in the vicinity, tags along on whatever missions he can, asks Hank to train him in CQB

- and of course Hank grows fond of Deimos. how could he not? his rambling is pleasant background noise that helps keep Hank in the moment, he has a nice smile and laughs a lot, and it doesn't take long for him to become a worthy opponent for Hank

- Deimos goes out of his way to impress Hank. whether that means making stupid jokes to try and get a laugh out of him or showing off on the battlefield at every opportunity, his efforts know no bounds. it makes his heart flutter in a weird way whenever he gets those little signals of approval

- their dynamic in terms of combat is very clean cut leader/follower. Deimos knows how to operate independently but Hank's orders are executed swiftly and without question

- a lot of their communication is done through body language and micro-expressions. Hank is incredibly perceptive of those subtle shifts and for Deimos it comes naturally

- neither is keen on eye contact which works out perfectly, Hank because of the 'tism and Deimos because it feels like someone is trying to square up

- I feel like romantic cannibalism in the literal sense but as a metaphor would shit them so well. there's so much want between them and it's like they can't ever satisfy it. simply touching isn't enough. they need to grab. they need to hold. they need to squeeze. they could become each other and it still wouldn't be enough

- on the outside they play it cool for the most part obviously but the tension is always there. everyone can feel it

Hankford:

woefully underappreciated

- these two have the same vibe and demo and soldier tbh

- Sanford's whole thing is blowing shit up and setting things on fire

- Hank's thing is killing people in increasingly dramatic and violent ways

- combine the two, what more could you want out of a ship

- most of their initial bonding happens over explosions and combat tactics, as well as the inherently homoerotic act of patching each other up during battle

- after a particularly high risk/high reward mission, standing amongst the rubble of what was once a weapons factory and still high on adrenaline and dopamine, Sanford grabs Hank by the lapels of his coat and kisses him

- oh to make out with someone in the aftermath of an explosion

- these two lack a balancing factor. neither needs to be protected by the other. neither has ever been chill a day in their life. both are itching to destroy something at any given moment. they hype each other up and egg on every OSHA violation in the book

- Hank does feel protective towards Sanford because that's just in his nature, but he doesn't feel like he needs to hover or have eyes on him constantly. Sanford has dragged his sorry bleeding ass out of trouble more than once, after all

- Sanford is the king of PDA and they have to establish pretty early on that Hank isn't comfortable with others seeing that much of his private life. holding hands is as far as it goes if others are around

- alone? Sanford can't keep his hands to himself. his favorite thing is to dip Hank when he least expects it just to make him blush

- Hank isn't sure how to reciprocate at first. his hands are meant for crushing and tearing and Sanford is so gentle and tender. it's a learning curve and the way his hands shake when he's excited doesn't help

- they work it out over time together though, Sanford making an effort to lead affection and letting Hank sort out what he likes along the way

- Sanford is Hank's weighted blanket I take no criticism on this

- Sanford calls Hank "Doll". Hank incorrectly interprets this as sarcasm because he can't imagine someone associating him with something delicate or cute

- neither of them is allowed anywhere near the kitchen. not because they can't cook but because neither of them has any impulse control and the microwave will be blown up "for science"

- Sanford, ever observant and a little obsessive, begins mapping out Hank's behaviors and mental state as best as he can. he isn't surprised that Hank is a little fucked up, but there's a lot more going on in their than expected. and Hank, uncharacteristically, does open up to Sanford about the dissociation and memory problems

- Hank has outlawed the word babygirl because it makes him flustered angry

Rogue Player AU Headcanons

First of all, this is all based on Saltymongoose's Self Aware Madness: Project Nexus AU with inspiration from Dallyfae's Purgatory Mode AU. The Rogue Player AU explores the idea of *multiplayer* in Salty's AU (since there's a local/remote multiplayer option in Project Nexus).

Now onto the headcanons! Starting with the Players! (For my sake they'll be shortened to "Rogue" and "Newbie")

Rogue Player aka Player 1 used to be the normal Player we all know and love, but they became corrupted by the desire for more power and praise

Rogue's powers are amplified: anyone can be a vessel and the strings themselves can be used as a weapon

However, Rogue's powers have a very limited range... don't get too close

Now onto New Player aka Player 2 the reader insert. Auditor brought Newbie into Project Nexus in a last ditch effort to save his ass from the other Employers' wrath (and save Nevada I guess)

Unlike Rogue, Newbie has no established relationship with any of the grunts. So even though Newbie is a fan of MadCom, the first impressions are the absolute first impressions. Both for Newbie and the grunts towards each other.

Newbie is pretty much a mix of starstruck/intimidated when meeting the grunts (excluding Sheriff. Newbie was too preoccupied with Hank and Rogue to really react to Sheriff other than surprise)

Once Christoff gives Newbie the halo, it gets transformed accordingly, but the effects on their powers remains a mystery for now...

Now onto the main four + Christoff...

Unlike the others, Hank was fine with and at times delighted by Rogue's new violent tendencies. He was suspicious of Newbie's sudden appearance on a mission to pacify Rogue but didn't protest since they offered aid for that outcome.

Hank currently holds no allegiance towards Newbie aside from what's mandatory. He isn't convinced that the player Rogue once was is completely gone which tends create tension between him and grunts who think otherwise.

Sanford and Doc were the first to notice the change in Rogue's behavior. Sanford in particular noticed how eager Rogue was to fight alongside him and Deimos. Outside of missions, Rogue became more distant and less sociable. Rogue was even less receptive to the meals he cooked them.

"Did I do something wrong?" Sanford asked Rogue one day. "Of course not!" Rogue responded, "I just don't feel like myself lately." Sanford continued to worry as his beloved Player became unrecognizable.

Currently, Sanford hasn't met Newbie yet, but he is convinced that Rogue is no longer his Player. Since he believes the deep connection he had with Rogue is lost, he's more open to the idea of a new Player than Hank.

Deimos suspected there was something off when the playful banters between him and Rogue came to an end. Every so often they would shut him down, but now Rogue almost chastises him at times for his jokes.

Deimos could obviously tell there was something wrong but was afraid of wasn't sure how to approach Rogue. He talked to Sanford who corroborated Rogue's odd and worsening behavior. He assured Deimos it wasn't his fault.

Like Sanford, he hasn't met Newbie yet, but is also receptive to the idea of a new Player. Deimos feels like he lost a dear friend and would jump at any opportunity to regain the connection that rivaled him and Sanford's.

Like I said before, 2BDamned and Sanford noticed Rogue's odd behavior before the others, but Doc was the first to inquire them about it. During a check-up, Doc asked Rogue about their mental health, "I appreciate your concern 2B, but I'll be fine! Don't worry." Which of course made him more concerned. Rogue had acknowledged there was something wrong but wouldn't elaborate.

Doc continued to monitor Rogue's well-being and was disturbed by an increase in violence during missions and conflict with coworkers in SQ. He attempted to ask Rogue about this a few more times, but they began refusing to answer altogether.

Doc is more than open to the addition to a new Player. SQ needs all the help they can get. Whether he's open to developing anything more than a professional relationship with Newbie is uncertain. He still holds deep concern for Rogue and feels like he failed them.

Christoff remembers Rogue fondly from Project Nexus Classic but has not seen nor felt their presence in ages. This is why he was shocked at the news from Doc that his Player had gone rogue and aid was needed.

When he confronted Rogue, he could hardly recognize them both visually and personality-wise. Christoff thought he could save Rogue from whatever had caused this drastic change in them but was struck down by his own heroics.

Then at seemingly the last second, Newbie stops Rogue and saves the keystone fragment in Christoff's possession. It didn't take long for him to realize that Newbie was another Player. To ensure the safety of the keystone fragment, he gave it to Newbie recognizing them as Nevada's new savior.

Christoff was quick to accept Newbie as a new Player, but he still holds the desire to save Rogue and will help any way he can to make that possible.

Hopefully, I'll be able to upload Chapter 1 of the story soon since the prologue is done, and I got these headcanons done!

Notes:my birthday is coming soon (sep. 8th) So i figured i should make a birthday headcannon thing with all characters. I wont fit them all in one go so ill go for 4 (technically 6 if you wanna count the bonuses) characters as of now.

So a gift is the next best thing he can do

It would be something he randomly found on a raid like a fancy enough looking knife or a golden gun

If he was able to he can find things thats not weapons like music boxes and decent clothes

He usually just gives it to you in a bag with a quiet "happy birthday"

He's trying his best

When your birthday comes after he becomes a mag he would probably just sit beside you silently and suddenly rests his head on top of yours

He did ATTEMPT to make a cake but like hank hes not a baker. So it either was flavorless or burnt to charcoal

That does not stop him though as he makes up for it with his gift, he made you a little robot pet (dog,cat, or other, its up to you 😊)

Makes little jokes to make you laugh even tried to make hank fall for the updog joke to make you laugh

He failed

He also stopped smoking for the day because he knows you dislike the smell of cigarette smoke

Ends the day with him wishing you a happy birthday and kisses

Almost the same but makes heart shapped rocks for you

Also cant tease or tell jokes because his entire mouth is rock now so he does the next best thing to make you laugh

The topic of birthdays just randomly popped up during a casual conversation

He does ask if you like or don't like birthdays. He doesn't want to make a huge deal out of it if you dont like them

If you dont like birthdays he just acts like it's any other day, with a few kisses and compliments here and there

If you do like birthdays he will try his best to make it a great day for you

Once again not much of a baker but he will make coffee and breakfast for you in the morning
