Obligatory tma halloween headcanons post:

tim and sasha are OBVIOUSLY barbie and ken from the barbie movie (other people have said it before and i'll gladly support it)

martin is some horribly obscure costume from a book or a poem no one really knows about and he gets a bit sad that no one knows who he is but then sasha does a quick google and subtly drops hints to everyone to go be like "heyyyy martin, amazing x costume" and then he cheers up

jon just refuses to dress up and everyone (especially Tim) bullies him like "oh amazing socially inept man who's desperately trying to seem good at his job costume!! you've got it spot on!!" and he's so furious that he puts on a costume

and in every iteration of these headcanons, martin is FLOORED at whatever he eventually dresses up as and i am all for that i will eat that shit up

he's so starved for interactions with his crush that he goes feral over jon in non-office clothes

favourite jon costumes include: normal clothes plus cat ears, normal clothes and everyone thinks he's come as a vampire, normal clothes in the later seasons and sasha would be like "jon its not ok for you to dress up as a homeless person" with a shit eating grin and jon's like ...what

bonus - jon doesn't need to dress up cause he's already got his costume - it's someone who's good at their job!!

elias LOVES halloween i bet that man is like fuck yeah i can freak out my archival workers in a whole host of new ways - plastic spiders around the office for jon, little clown dolls for tim, eyes EVERYWHERE and its so gaudy and terrible and everyone despises him

also he really doubles down on calling jon the archivist

i feel like tim secretly hates halloween now but in like early working at the institute, he went along with it cause martin put out a little pumpkin on his desk and sasha smiled at it

melanie fucking loves halloween, she's a legitimately terrifying costume, let's go through the haunted house kinda gal and i love that for her. she's a lets watch all three human centipedes in one night and see what happens kinda gal

daisy and basira despise it cause of all the weird shit that people pull on halloween (and they're on edge that they'll be called for some section 31 shit for all of it)

jon also hates halloween for a similar reason - the increase of joke statements and general taking the piss about the magnus institute

You also can't really go on normal dates or show him off to your few friends. Although you do sometimes spot him amidst the trees when you are at work, watching him disappear into the shadows in a way that you knew you only saw him because he wanted you to, and can feel eyes on you the entire way home.

Being the Omega to The Shape is both a blessing and a curse. For one he is a notorious killer and he also views the world completely different than what's considered "normal".

Most of the time, especially the beginning of your relationship, you had to explain what his instincts are making him do and how to deal with his Alpha impulses.

Michael Myers always keeps an eye out for his Omega. No matter if it's at the grocery store, work, a restaurant, or even something as mundane as washing your car. He is always watching. It's his own way of protecting you.

Also he's just naturally curious about you and he's making up for lost time from when he was locked away. Using his new freedom to stalk his lovely little Omega and find out all he can.

He'll constantly scent you. Dragging you to his body and forcing you to stand still as he sniffs at you, growling lightly at all the lingering "other" smells before placing his scent all over you again.

Will often lead to him dragging you to the nearest flat surface to fuck you, his possessiveness rearing it's head, and you have to make sure to stay submissive just so you won't agitate him further.

He makes nests when, on the rare occasion, you are away and he doesn't follow you. Will tear apart your house to make one to his liking and you end up buying an ungodly amount of spare blankets and pillows for those times.

Leaves plenty of marks on you, that you desperately try to cover up in case someone starts asking questions, and he will be immediately turned on if you try to mark him up as well.

Of course, he'll also assume that this is you trying to dominate him. Leads to him pinning you down and forcing you to submit.

Will let out a raspy quiet purr of approval when you lay with him in his nest.

Regressor! R.M Renfield (From both the 2023 movie and "Dracula" 1931) Headcanons :D Mostly vent/angsty stuff, but there's some happier ones at the end

while he hasn't really aged both physically or mentally since that night, but he knows that sometimes he feels younger, though unsure of why. It's only in the rare instances where he's alone however, because god knows what would happen if Dracula found out.

at first, he doesn't even recognize it's happening. Perhaps it's his mind playing tricks on him, or Dracula putting visions in his head, but he finds himself slipping away. To a time when he was a young boy hopelessly in love with the woman who'd be his wife. the bittersweet joy cuts him harder now than it ever had.

his mind works quickly to shut these feelings, this wanting to be rid of his mortal troubles; away. He just can't, if for not the obvious reason, then for his sanity. And in pure despair and confusion, the younger, childike boy that takes over feels like a distant memory.

he tries to remember the stiff, yet warm feeling that was his childhood home. Not much is clear as he watches families pass on through time. and as a result, he knows that there is neither a place where he belongs in that dichotomy, nor a time where he'll get it again.

but he wants it. so badly. he wants so badly to feel the warmth of another human being, the gentle yet firm praise of a father that isn't shrouded in cruelty or manipulation. the stolen books he buries himself in fill that gap somewhat because at least the characters can experience that, even if he can't.

the years of delivering undying servitude towards his master have him wondering if he's really deserving of this. After all the lives he'd taken out of survival, should he really be feeling this way? But, the brain doesn't always respond in the way we want it to. The child doesn't understand, and Renfield can't force him to. Not in this state. Yet, he still struggles to let himself feel it.

he doesn't sleep at night. too haunted by nightmares and his mind thinking racing with every little thought. Instead, he lets his hands take over, focusing on something other than his past. he draws, plays the few piano pieces he remembers from his childhood, really, just anything where he can create something. Something that's real.

if he wasn't already a sensitive soul, then he most certainly is now. Anger, sadness, regret, fear all overcome him at a sudden moment. one would think he was losing his mind, but in reality, the boy's finally letting himself feel. Even if that results in hoarse, gut-wrenching "tantrums" or crying at the kindness he's finally given by another person after almost a century.

•Ben always makes EJ dress up as Jason Voorhees to go scare all the other “proxies”

Blitzø appreciates the dedication to your interests! Have you seen his fucking horse collection? Dude is dedicated. Blitzø isn't too squeamish because of his career, but if there are some particularly gruesome displays, he may not look for too long. He does however, enjoy the weapons. Blitzø will make constant comments about whether he would use a particular weapon, how effective it is or isn't, etc. Gets a little too into the details sometimes. I'm not sure if Blitzø would watch/enjoy horror movies partly because he'd get bored (he does a lot of this stuff on a daily basis), or he'd get freaked out. A lot of people have been hurt or died around him. Also can't handle psychological horror because it fucks with his sense of reality. Nevertheless, he's happy to listen to you talk about the movies. I think he'd find some of the technical stuff interesting. Like what fake blood is made out of, the makeup for the injuries, and the costume designs for the monsters or killers. Blitzø also definitely steals any themed clothes like t-shirts, hoodies, loungewear so he can wear it. You'll have to fight him to get them back.

Loona would ask if she could take pictures to post online. She's hella impressed, and honestly, I think she might tell Octavia about it. Not only would she appreciate the weirdness, but Octavia is a great photographer. Loona saves all the pictures to a special album. It's actually a convenient archive in case you wanna switch up your displays! Unlike Blitzø, Loona would probably enjoy horror movies. It's also my personal HC that she has a soft spot for satirical horror movies (Scary Movie, The Blackening, Tremors, Arachnoquake, etc). I don't think Loona would be big on analyzing shows herself, but she loves seeing you study characters and make thematic connections. Another personal HC is she'd like nerds. I know, she bullies Moxxie and is very intimidating- but! I think she has a soft spot for it because of how passionate and sincere you are about your interests. Having that kind of genuine energy around would make Loona feel safe- at least in my opinion. I think the things she'd enjoy the most out of your collection would be figurines and CDs/soundtracks! She's always on the lookout for new music. And hey, spooky instrumental is a vibe.

housewardens at a halloween party

is too busy relaying different rules to other dorm mates or to himself so he doesn’t break any that he forgets to actually just have fun

acts more of a bodyguard at the party rather than a regular student attending the party

gets fed up when one too many people accidentally step on his shoes and bump into him

has an outburst at them and people around him move to quickly leave the premises

eventually has someone from his dorm (probably trey) walk up to him to try and get him to calm down and actually have fun

finds a certain drink that he seems to really like and starts to drink them at a rapid pace

refuses to get on the dance floor looking at all the people that are congested on it

settles to stand watching everyone, but eventually gets dragged to play a game that required another person to play

likes the game more than he thought and gets very competitive

shouts when he makes a good move or gets outplayed by his opponent

is so into the game that he doesn’t notice almost all the people who were playing left

won’t stop playing until he’s won at least once

will force everyone from his dorm back early enough so that they’re not out after curfew

you definitely do not want to be caught by him while you’re out after curfew for any dorm you’re apart of

would rather be sleeping in his bed instead of going to a party

is very reluctant to go and have to deal with so many “herbivores” in one room

actually finds himself having a decent time but will never admit that out loud or show it on his face

sits observing the room from against the wall with a drink in his hand

overhears a conversation of finding another person and thinks that could be a fun way to mess with people

volunteers to fill in the spot missing and the people looking think it’s a joke at first before they see that he’s being completely serious

goes against a particularly cocky student and he feigns a scared look at the person gloating about previous rounds won

the look only fuels the cockiness of the other student

the look is soon swiped off of the other students face when leona swiftly beats him in the first round

it’s leonas turn to get a cocky smug look on his face as rounds and rounds pass of him sweeping the competition

the student he was playing against quickly stomps off in annoyance and anger and getting destroyed in the game he was gloating about

happily sleeps through the rest of the night and day after the incident

he doesn’t just go to the party mans is working it

if he’s not the one who originally organized the party, might as well be by the end of it

as soon as he hears there’s a party he is fully preparing how he would make the most profit out of it

will somehow make it so the party is set to be in the mostro lounge instead of the previous location so he can take advantage of having mostly everything set up for him already

puts floyd and jade to work going around with drinks and snacks for people

doesn’t join in the fun activities of the party; he’s just enjoying the profit he’s getting out of all of it

will find ways to cause people to want to buy more drinks or snacks

puts on a song he knows everyone is going to want to get up to dance to and waits patiently for people to get thirsty and order drinks

hosts a “contest” where people pay tickets to guess how many gallons of water a certain water tank had in it for a chance to win an undisclosed prize

azul is so good at convincing people and talking up products that no one really questions it, even if it is azul they’re talking about

very shockingly no one gets it right and azul goes to bed with a smile on his face that night

is the life of the party

will try to chat with anyone and everyone who walks in the door

just about gives jamil a heart attack when he keeps leaving his side to go to different places he wants to explore

is forced to only eat or drink things that are handed to him by jamil

practically gets a cup knocked out of his hand by him when he shows up next to him with a questionable substance in it

mans actually needs a leash

people love having him at the party with his energetic personality that has everyone mirroring his contagious smile that he always has

spends a lot of his time on the dance floor with people

it’s like the man doesn’t get tired at all when he dances for an hour straight with a bright smile still on his face

asks jamil if he wants a drink when he sees him panting and sweating next to him

somehow ends up as the dj of the party

is bummed when the party eventually comes to an end and he has to leave

definitely goes to every party that he hears about

will spend hours getting ready for the party only to show up an hour into the party so he can be considered “fashionably late”

insists on bringing an entourage (that being rook and epel) and spends even more time making sure that they look the part as well

won’t drink or eat anything that’s offered at the party saying that he can’t afford to have anything happen to his skin by not watching what he was consuming

won’t verbally go against rook and epel eating or drinking anything, but will give them a face of disappointment that doesn’t phase rook, but causes epel to slowly put the cup he picked up back down on the table

is wordlessly aiming to be the center of attention as he strolls through the party with his head held high like he owns the room

will pose for any pictures he comes across, if he was asked for it or not

does frequently squeeze himself into frame at the sight of any phone up taking a picture, making note that they were lucky to have him in the photo

don’t forget to tag him so his copious amount of fans are able to find it and repost it everywhere they can

treats the party as something like an event to make an event in, convinced that showing up is all he has to do to make an impression

well he’s not really wrong

makes sure to do extra skin care routines in the morning after the party

you’re kidding right?

there’s absolutely no way this man is going to be in a ten foot radius of this party let alone at it

but if ortho somehow convinces him to go he wants to send his tablet there in his stead, but ortho is not having it, saying that he’ll have so much fun

argues about it for a while before ortho eventually pushes convinces him to go

steps one foot into the doorway before he’s immediately turning in the other direction

ortho is ready for this when he quickly gets in front of him to stop him from walking off the property so easily

pushes himself in the furthest corner he can get from all the action going on

needs ortho to bring him food and drinks because he won’t move from his spot

has enough when one too many people step by him and he shoots himself up from the corner, startling the people by him as he practically runs for the exit

is practically cursing out ortho the entire way back to his dorm room

even if he originally somehow got ortho to let him use his tablet to go, he wouldn’t last even five minutes before he slides out the door unseen when ortho is looking the other way

would start his own kind of halloween “party” in his room which entails him playing scary games for rest of the duration of the party

totally doesn’t get scared when his door is suddenly opened from ortho asking where he went

is so excited to have an invite with him not getting many

when sebek finds out about the party he tries to talk malleus out of going because of the large amounts of people that would be there

he does not succeed so he ends up following him around the party anyway (very very closely might i add)

has never really been to a party like this before, only just going to fancy dinner parties that required his attendance

he however finds this one interesting with the chaotic energy that fills the room and the booming music that fills his ears

will walk around observing everyone and the activities that they’re doing

people scatter and make a pathway for him while he walks around

goes to try some of the activities that are set out for people

the people there originally don’t stick around long when he walks over, but still enjoys it with sebek taking the other people’s place

wants to try every food and drink that’s available that comes along with sebeks complaints along the way

overall enjoyed getting to experience the party himself and is happy he got to be invited to one

buy me a coffee ♡

What do the archive staff do for Halloween?

Martin adores Halloween, it’s his favourite holiday. He is responsible for all of the decorations of the Archive. He orders it all out of his own pocket and even makes some of it. He insists everyone has a Halloween party and comes to work in a costume. His choice is No Face, Kylo Ren, or Bruno Madrigal.

Tim grumbles to begin with but loves Halloween just as much as Martin. He goes as Ken from the Barbie movie, Link from Legend of Zelda, or David from the Lost Boys. He makes all of them a little bit racy and sexy as well as camp and fun.

John either dresses as Dracula, Victor Frankenstein, or he wears his regular clothes (he legitimately forgot) and says he is dressed as a serial killer. When Martin points out he’s wearing his regular clothes Johns says “that’s the point, serial killers hide in plain sight it could be anyone.”

Martin had insisted his, John, and Tim’s house is decorated, they have bowls of sweets for trick or treaters, and they get lots of nice snacks for a night of horror movies. Tim drags his feet at first but quickly gets extremely into the spirit of things, John grumbles about nearly all of it but is delighted to spend a night watching horror films. Tim and Martin both jump to their feet to answer the door, happily entertaining the kids in their costumes and dishing out sweets. John is partially annoyed the films are paused but watches the display fondly.

Sasha comes dressed as Rey from Star Wars, Harley Quinn, or Daria. She never really celebrated Halloween before but loves costumes so gets right into the spirit of things. She makes Martin cry when she says her parents never let her go trick or treating. She would forget if a Martin hadn’t said anything so spends the evening as she always would, panicking when she sees the kids on her way home and runs out to the shop to get a bag of sweets.

Basira actually thinks the whole thing is stupid and gets really annoyed about Halloween from her time as a cop where she dealt with irritating students who partied too hard, and by the fifth arrest the costumes got a little old. However she sighs, and plays along, putting a quick costume together the morning of. Typical stuff you can get at Tescos like a vampire, a ghost, or a cat.

Melanie gets really into it. She plans a romantic horror movie night for her and Georgie weeks in advance and helped Martin with decorations for the Archive. She either dresses as Percy Jackson, Coraline, or Death from the Sandman.

Daisy feels very similarly as Basira, but refuses to dress up and everyone is too scared to say anything.

Michael finds everything to do with Halloween fun, cute, and wildly entertaining. He makes some of his own decorations, carves a pumpkin, gets lots of sweets for the local kids, and has a cosy night in watching horror films with Gerry. He doesn’t get to dress up, but if he could he’d be a zombie, the Cat in the Hat, or a pirate.

Gertrude banned Halloween from being celebrated in the archive.

Elias ignores everything about Halloween but comes in such a horrifying demon costume no one is sure if it’s a costume or just his real face and body.
