if it’s ok to ask a follow up question.. how can u differentiate between anp or ep or a mix of both and can a host be an ep?
Here's what Nijenhuis says from The Trinity of Trauma Volume III (p.17):
"‘Apparently normal parts’ (ANPs) primarily aim to achieve the goals of common life. ‘Fragile emotional parts’ (fragile EPs) primarily defend the basic integrity of life amid a devastating umwelt. ‘Controlling emotional parts’ (controlling EPs) primarily strive to generate and maintain a sense of personal power, of shining autonomy. To achieve their aims ANPs strive to ignore the phenomenal selves and worlds of the EPs. They strive to feel, know, and/or realize it as little as possible. In the attempt to delimit their fragility, ignoring (e.g., mentally avoiding) EPs is a form of control. Although fragile EPs feel and know themselves to be fragile, they long and strive to defend their very existence. Their defensive actions or passions involve a form of control. Stuck in the dreadful past, however, they remain more or less ignorant of the actual present in terms of the third-person’s conception of chronological time, place, and the unity the fragile EPs are a part of. Controlling EPs share this ignorance and try to ignore their fragility. They strive to control their life and their umwelt. Being prototypes, traumatized individuals can encompass both mixtures and variations of these three prototype."
To put this more simply, there can be any variation or mixture of the following:
ANP = Parts that aim to achieve the goals of daily life. They are usually avoidant or ignorant of the trauma and EP.
Fragile EP = Parts that are stuck in trauma-time. The past trauma still feels like the present for them, and they defend this perception and existence. The online community often calls them "trauma-holders."
Controlling EP = Parts that aim to aim to maintain their autonomy and power. They sometimes turn against other parts, or even people outside of the system. The online community often calls them "protectors" or "persecutors."
To help you tell the difference, ANP tend to have more higher processing while EP usually have more lower processing (see chart below):

Also, yes an EP can be a host.

You should not assume that the adult who function in the world, or who presents to you, week after week, is the "real" person, and the other personalities are less real. The client who comes to therapy is not "the" person; there are other personalities to meet and work with. When DID was still officially called MPD, the "person" who lived life on the outside was known as the "host" personality, and the other parts were known as alters. These terms, unfortunately, implied that all the parts other than the host were guests, and therefore of less importance than the host. They were somehow secondary. The currently favored theory of structural dissociation (Nijenhuis & Den Boer, 2009; van der Hart, Nijenhuis, & Steele, 2006), which more accurately describes the way personality systems operate, instead distinguishes between two kinds of states: the apparently normal personality, or ANP, and the emotional personality, or EP, both of which could include a number of parts. p21” ― Alison Miller, Healing the Unimaginable: Treating Ritual Abuse and Mind Control

If you could relive any of your memories, which would it be?
the very first time I went to acadia national park with my best friend. specifically the moments when a) we checked into our hotel and went out on the balcony (well. porch bc we were on the first floor) and saw the water. b) when we got SOAKED in torrential rain at the top of cadillac mountain. c) when we hiked the precipice trail even though it was humid as fuck and we forgot to bring water

Sootflight sat in the leaders den to talk with Firestar.
"Daughter," he mrow'd. "What has you so upset? You lashed out at Brambleclaw, scratched Mousefur, and bit your own sister!"
Her face scrunged up to a glare. Ears flattened she hissed, "Take a wild guess! The entire Clan treats me like I'm the next Scourge of Bloodclan well I'm not! And its frustraiting that every day I remotely TRY to prove myself to this bunch of mangey, flea infested-!"
"Sootflight!" Sandstorm interrupts sharply.
"To this clan...!" Sootflight lashed her thick white tipped tail sideways on the moss. Her yellow-greenish eyes staring at her white left paw. Her clans uneasy glances she faced, every day finally getting to her and she figured her father might have wisedom to give in time of need.
"I understand that this can be difficult. But you must try to channel your frustraitions into battle practice. Before it gets out of hand. Am i clear?" Firestar stood up looking expectingly at the black tabby.
"As you say...not that it matters anyway." With her final huff she left the den to hunt. Sandstorm sighed piting her. "The clan treats her like an outsider, my love. What do we do?"
"What we can to ease the others for the time being. Get Graystripe to keep watch of her." He replies, taking off to speak to Longtail

It's so weird being an ANP sometimes like... I know we have severe trauma, I can look at the document that we have of it, but I don't feel anything about any of the memories whatsoever. It's just like "huh that happened, oh well."

Hi
Love a new perspective I was just wondering are you continuing it
It's fantastic well written I've enjoyed every moment of his so far
Hello dear! Thank you so much for the love for ANP, it's my baby and it makes me all warm and fuzzy seeing people enjoy it. ^_^ I'm glad you think it's well written, cus' I think so too! Though, it's definitely improved over the seasons. XD I am continuing it! I'm working on S3a right now, it's just been extremely slow going. We're at about 200k right now, and I've still got a good amount of work to do. It's shaping up to be one beast of a fic, and hopefully that'll be a good thing! I'd love to give you a date that it'll be done by, but it's all up in the air, I'm afraid. I'm working on it, and it'll eventually be finished and posted, but other than that I don't have many details to offer. Thanks again for the love! ♥

can the ANP be mentally child aged even if their an adult? or is an intellectual disability?
I don’t entirely understand this question. So, I’ll provide information on ANPs.
Apparently Normal Parts (ANPs) are present-oriented parts that handle daily life. They can be in charge of caring for the body, getting work done, or dealing with certain situations.
With trauma, they typically exhibit avoidant behaviours, feelings of guilt and hollowness, and lack of identity. ANPs do not often hold severe trauma, or have some level of emotional detachment from it. They are also typically very dissociative.
Typically, a system's host is an ANP, but that is not always the case.
My lack of understanding comes from: is the body age an adult? Does this part say they are an adult and behave/act young?
